Introduction
Congratulations on the purchase of your Purifion ICP-250 UV
Ionic Plasma Air Purifier. With proper care and attention, you
can enjoy many years of safe and economic service from this
unit, with many benefits to you and your family’s health.
This Product Manual explains the features of the unit and its
operation, including safety precautions, and how you can obtain
service if required.

Safety Precautions
CAREFULLY READ THE FOLLOWING.
FAILURE TO OBSERVE ANY OF THESE
WARNINGS COULD RESULT IN
IRREVERSIBLE DAMAGE TO THE UNIT or
ELECTRICAL SHOCK causing SERIOUS
INJURY or even DEATH.
Do NOT attempt to repair the unit. If repairs are required,
send it to an authorized dealer or a qualified electronics
service technician.
Do NOT keep the unit where it is not stable and can be
knocked over easily. We recommend you keep it on a level
floor surface. Avoid inclined areas. Do not store in areas with
excessive moisture such as bathrooms.
Do NOT stare at the UV light or control buttons. Despite the
presence of a metal protective light shield, do NOT place your
face or body directly in front of the light.
Do NOT place objects inside the grill covers at any time while the
Unit is plugged in. This can result in electrical shock causing
serious injury or even death.
Do NOT use the unit in industrial environments or
warehouses. For indoor use only.

Warranty
Product: Purif-Ion Ionic UV Plasma Air Purifier ICP-250
Warranty Period: Three (3) year Limited Warranty on parts and
labour as described below.
Warranty Exclusions:
Packaging, Unit Box (carrying case), User Manual
and UV Lamp. Additional exclusions are described
below.
Purifion Canada gives the following warranty to the purchaser of the
above described product if sold or distributed in Canada, only by Purifion
Canada or by an authorized dealer of Purifion Canada.
Purifion Canada warrants that the product is free, under normal use and
maintenance, from any defects in materials or workmanship. If any
defects are found after receipt of a warranty claim from the purchaser,
Purifion Canada will at its own discretion repair or replace the product
specified above.
Excluded from the warranty are the following:
a) Any defects or repairs caused by negligent use, abusive operation,
accident, liquid spillage on the unit, improper installation or
inappropriate use as defined in the users manual.
b) If the described product has been tampered with or modified,
adjusted or repaired by anyone other than Purifion Canada.
c) Damage caused to the product by the use of cleaning products or
cleaning solutions not prescribed in the user’s manual.
d) Any replacement of changeable parts, applicable only to the
UVC 15W lamp.
a) Any cosmetic damage caused to the surface or exterior of the unit
by normal wear and tear.
b) Any damage caused by interfering electrical devices and/or high
voltage transmission lines or lightning strikes.

Service
Should the ICP-250 fail to operate during the warranty period, warranty service
maybe obtained by taking the ICP-250, this limited warranty and proof of
purchase to the authorized dealer where the product was purchased, or by
sending it to:

The warranty cannot be extended or modified by any authorized dealer of
Purifion Canada. The Purchaser is responsible for any cost of removal,
reinstallation, transportation or insurance costs incurred with respect to a
warranty claim.
Corrections of defects or replacement of the unit at the expiration of the warranty
period constitute completion of the obligations of Purifion Canada or the
authorized dealer to the purchaser with respect to the product.
THIS WARRANTY IS VALID THREE (3) YEARS FROM PURCHASE DATE. PLEASE
DO NOT FORGET TO FILL IN THE WARRANTY CARD AND RETURN IT TO
PURIFION CANADA IF MAKING A WARRANTY CLAIM.

Placement / Controls
Unit Placement
The unit occupies little space and can be used in many places like the
office, dining room, bedroom, etc. Place the unit on a level surface with
at least 30 cm clearance from any wall, draperies or furniture
Controls
All control buttons are located at the top of the unit. The blue LED lights
make it possible to see the controls at night. The power controls consist
of Power, Speed, Turbo and UV buttons.
Operation Indicator Lights
The indicator lights let you know the status of the unit.
Power LED:
This Triangular shaped LED tells you if the unit is on or off.
Break LED:
Turns on in case of a problem with the internal high voltage wires.
Short LED:
Turns on in case of an electric problem with the internal circuitry.
Clean LED:
Turns on to indicate that it is time to clean the collection plates.
Simultaneously an audible beep will go off to alert you that cleaning is
required. Slide out the plates from the unit and wipe off with a damp
cloth. After cleaning just install blades in their original position.
NOTE: If the unit is making a buzzing noise, you can clean the
plates even before the Clean LED is activated.

Operation Guide
Failure to follow these instructions could result in damage to
the unit.
Removal/Storage
The unit box is also a convenient carrying case for those
who might want to transport the unit safely to another
location. For future use, safely store the box and the
associated packaging.
Power Connection
Unwrap the cord, which is coiled underneath the base of the
unit and plug it into the correct power outlet.
Power ON
To activate power to the unit, press the Power
button (1) .
Power Level Settings
Press the speed button (2) to select the
unit’s power level. Choose from Low (I),
Medium (II) or High (III).
Press the Turbo button (3) for five minutes
on the highest power level. Your previous
power level will resume once the five
minutes Turbo function has elapsed.
UV Lamp Activation
Press the UV Lamp button (4) in order
to turn on the Ultraviolet lamp.

Operation Guide
Cleaning Stainless Steel Plates
If the audible beep goes off and the LED indicator is flashing it is time to
clean the plates (also known as the “Dust Collection Blades or Filter”).
NOTE: There are three (3) fixed stainless steel plates combined into one
single piece. On occasion the unit will produce a faint buzzing noise. This
means the plates require cleaning. Cleaning and re-installation of the plates
as shown here will stop any previous noises heard during operation.
Also in order to remove dust that accumulates on the wires inside, you
periodically turn the unit upside down (do not shake the unit).
TO REMOVE THE PLATES: First, unplug the power cord. Cusp your fingers
under the opening marked “Filter” on top. Gently slide the plates upward out
of the unit housing. Then remove any dust or other contaminants on the
plates with a slightly damp cloth.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT wash plates under a water tap, in a bucket of water
or with a water hose. This can damage the internal components of the
unit when the plates are placed back inside. Only wash with slightly damp
cloth. Once clean, slide the plates gently back Into the unit housing. Plug the
unit back in. You should hear a single beep to confirm the plates are in place
and the unit can be re-started.
UV Lamp Replacement
TO TAKE OFF REAR (GRILL) COVER: First, unplug the unit power
cord. Near the bottom of the rear (grill) cover (side with handle at top)
you will see a plastic tab (as shown in diagram). Gently release the tab
out and then gently push the grill cover down, away from the housing.
TO REMOVE and INSTALL THE UV TUBE: Twist the burnt out tube
90º and pull out from bottom terminal (marked lamp BASE on the
diagram). To install the tube, do the reverse. Place the tube into the
terminals and twist 90º to lock it in.
TO PUT BACK REAR (GRILL) COVER: As shown in the diagram, line
up the arrow on the rear cover with the bottom arrow (marked on both
sides of the unit housing). Then slide the rear cover upward until the
arrow on the rear cover is lined up with the top arrow on the housing.
At the same time, be sure to hold the top of the rear cover with your
other hand and push it up, clicking the rear cover back into the unit
housing.
LAMP LIFETIME: The high efficiency UV lamp will run for about 8,000
hours on average between replacements, or about one year of
continuous operation.
REPLACEMENT UV LAMPS: Use only UVC 15W lamp bulbs which
may be purchased from Purifion Canada or from any authorized dealer.
