e Indicate™ system is automatic and has easy-to-interpret LED indicators
to assure drivers and technicians of proper system function by monitoring
the source power and ligate batteries. Simply put, the Indicate system
provides indication that the current charging system for the ligate batteries
is functioning properly, which is essential in low mileage, high frequency
ligate operation applications. e LED indicators clearly show the status of
the source as well as the status of the ligate batteries. A quick glance at the
Indicate controller assures the driver that the ligate batteries are ready to go
or alerts the driver that the batteries need maintenance.

INDICATE CONTROLLER MOUNTING
INDICATE SINGLE POLE APPLICATION
Step 1: Mount the Indicate controller
at the front of the trailer via the
mounting holes on the plate that
the controller is mounted to.
Step 1: Route the jacketed
2-conductor input harness up to
the single pole receptacle. Ensure
that it will reach the single pole
nosebox and then cut o any
excess cable.
Important: Place the supplied cable
clamps along the 2-conductor
jacketed input harness every 6
inches to ensure proper support
for the cable. Avoid sharp edges
and possible chang points.
Step 2: Remove the single pole
receptacle from the trailer to
access the connection inside the
nosebox. Connect the supplied 2
amp fuse holder to the single pole
receptacle.

Step 3: Strip 6 inches of the jacketing
o the 2-conductor input harness
and apply a short piece of the
supplied 3/8” black heat shrink to
the area where the jacketing was
cut o.
Step 4: Prep the chassis ground wire
by adding the supplied ¼ inch ring
terminal. Solder and heat shrink
this connection using the supplied
heat shrink.
Step 5: Route the jacketed
2-conductor input harness back
into the single pole nosebox.
Butt connector the red wire to
the 2 amp fuse holder. Solder
and apply the supplied 2 pieces
of ¼” red heat shrink. Route the
black chassis ground wire back
out of the single pole nosebox
to be attached to the front of the
trailer or to one of the single pole
nosebox mounting bolts.
IMPORTANT: e chassis ground
wire must be attached to a good
chassis ground.

6
Step 2: Remove the dual pole
receptacle from the trailer to
access the connection inside the
nosebox. Connect the supplied
2 amp fuse holder to the positive
side of the dual pole receptacle.
Step 1: Route the jacketed
2-conductor input harness up to
the dual pole receptacle. Ensure
that it will reach the single pole
nosebox and then cut o any
excess cable.
Important: Place the supplied cable
clamps along the 2-conductor
jacketed input harness every 6
inches to ensure proper support
for the cable. Avoid sharp edges
and possible chang points.
Step 6: Mount the single pole
nosebox back onto the front of the
trailer. Attach the chassis ground
wire to the front of the trailer
using the supplied self-tapping
screws.

Step 3: Strip 6 inches of the jacketing
o the 2-conductor input harness
and apply a short piece of the
supplied 3/8” black heat shrink to
the area where the jacketing was
cut o.
Step 4: Prep the ground wire by
adding the supplied ¼ inch ring
terminal. Solder and heat shrink
this connection using the supplied
heat shrink.
Step 5: Route the jacketed
2-conductor input harness back
into the dual pole nosebox. Butt
connector the red wire to the 2
amp fuse holder. Solder and apply
the supplied 2 pieces of ¼” red
heat shrink. Connect the black
ground wire to the negative side
of the dual pole receptacle and
tighten.

8
Step 6: Mount the dual pole nosebox
back onto the front of the trailer.
Step 1: Route the jacketed
2-conductor ligate battery
harness behind the front plate
then behind the header plate
through the air/electrical tube to
the center channel.
Step 2: Route the jacketed
2-conductor ligate battery
harness in the center channel
toward the back of the trailer.
Secure with the supplied wire ties
or cable clamps as you go.
Important: Place the supplied cable
clamps along the 2-conductor
jacketed wire every 18 inches to
ensure proper support for the
cable. Avoid sharp edges and
possible chang points.

Step 3: Once you are near the area
where the ligate battery box is
located, begin routing the jacketed
2-conductor ligate battery
harness into the ligate battery
box through a dome nut or rubber
grommet.
Important: Ensure that the
2-conductor jacketed wire enters
the ligate battery box through a
dome nut or rubber grommet to
prevent chang of wire, which
could result in possible electrical
short in the system.
Step 4: Position the jacketed
2-conductor ligate battery
harness so that it will reach the
ligate batteries with a little extra
slack in the cable. Mark the wire
so that it can be taken back out of
the battery box to be terminated.
Note: If your battery box includes
a slide out tray, include enough
slack to allow the tray to fully
extend without tugging on the
wire connections.
Step 5: Pull the jacketed 2-conductor
back out of the box (easier to work
on) and cut of the excess at your
mark.

10
Step 6: Cut about 8 inches o of the
conductor.
Step 7: Apply the supplied 3/8 inch
black heat shrink where the jacket
was stripped o.
Step 8: Strip 3/8 inch of insulation
o both red and black wires.

Step 9: Route the jacketed
2-conductor ligate battery
harness back into the ligate
battery box. Slide the supplied
black ¼ inch heat shrink over the
black wire. Slide (2) 2 inch pieces
of the supplied red ¼ inch heat
shrink over the red wire. Crimp on
the 3/8 inch ring terminal onto the
black wire. Crimp on the supplied
2 amp fuse holder to the red
wire. Solder and heat shrink both
connections.
Step 10: Attached the 2 amp fuse
holder to ligate battery positive
and the black ground wire to the
ligate battery negative.
Installation complete.
