e Purkeys OneConnect™ nosebox connects power from the tractor to the
trailer electrical system and allows the driver to control the interior lights
with the touch of a button. It is available in the following congurations:
• 7-way
• 7-way and dual pole
• Dual pole
• Dual pole and single pole
GENERAL INFORMATION
ONECONNECT NOSEBOX INSTALLATION
Step 1: Using the supplied mounting
screws, mount the OneConnect
nosebox at the front of the trailer,
using the mounting holes on the
plate.
Note: e mounting plate can be
removed if space is an issue or if
a standard bolt pattern is wanted.
Simply remove the plate and
mount the nosebox to the trailer
using the supplied mounting
screws and the standard bolt holes
inside the nosebox.

Route the 7-way harness through the liquid-tight grommet on the bottom
side of the nosebox. Use either bullet pin or ring terminal connections to
connect the 7-way harness to the nosebox:
• For bullet pin connections – Place the correct wire onto the bullet pin
connection. e color and name for each circuit is indicated on the
circuit board and correlates with the wire color on the 7-way harness.
• For ring terminal connections – Remove the bullet pin from the circuit
board, place the ring terminal onto the threaded stud (do not remove
the jam nut), and reinstall the bullet pin connector onto the threaded
stud. Torque the bullet pin on the ring terminal to 25 lb-in. e color
and name for each circuit is indicated on the circuit board and correlates
with the wire color on the 7-way harness.
Note: See the following diagrams for the 7-way connections of each nosebox
conguration.

Step 1: Terminate the Interior Light positive wire with a #10 ring terminal and
connect to the Interior Lights Positive (see Figure 1).
Step 2: Terminate the Interior Light negative wire with a #10 ring terminal
and connect to Ground (see Figure 1).

NOTE: Not every model includes all the pins shown, as pin availability
varies by model.
To make the harness connections on the outside of the nosebox:

If your trailer is being spec’d with a momentary switch at the back of the
trailer, wire the circuit as shown below using a #10 ring terminal.

Low Voltage Warning (Pin 1)

Once the OneConnect installation is complete, refer to the information below
to change timer or low voltage disconnect settings.

Note: All fault indication LEDs will remain on for 30 seconds.
LED LOGIC
*LEDs and trailer lights will ash as a warning to indicate when the trailer
lights will shut o.
• If there are 3 minutes le before the trailer lights turn o, the LED and
trailer lights will ash 3 times.
• If there are 2 minutes le before the trailer lights turn o, the lights will
ash twice.
• If there is only 1 minute le before the trailer lights turn o, the lights
will ash once.
If the ashing lights are white, the time for the trailer lights to be on has
almost reached its limit.
If the ashing lights are orange, the battery voltage is low and the lights will
be shut o to protect the batteries.
