Powered Diversity TV Antenna

Installation Manual
Proper Location
Mount the antenna on the inside rear window of the car.
For optimum reception, mount the antenna pointing
down.(See Fig 2)
Leave a minimum of 1 inch space between the antenna
wires and the edge of the window.
Location should not impair driver s view.

Do not mount near or next to an existing antenna.
Be certain that there is enough cable to reach the unit.
Trial fit the antenna-do not remove protective paper from
booster or antenna sections.

Note:
1. Use only on vehicles with 12-14.4 Volt battery
2. Avoid short circuits by disconnecting the negative(-)battery
cable before beginning installation.
3. Protect the wiring by wrapping adhesive tape around
exposed areas.
4. Antenna wires should not get in contact with moving
parts, areas of hot or sharp surfaces.
5. Avoid installing in areas that may get wet with rain.
Failure to do so may result in fire or electrical shock.

Wiring the Antenna
Caution while Installing the Antenna
Prior to the final installation, temporarily connect the
wires to make sure that all connections are made properly
and to make sure that the system works properly.
Install the 4 antenna plugs into the TV tuner and the
Cigarette light plug into the lighter outlet.
Note: The cigarette lighter plug may be removed and the
red power wire may be connected to a 12 volt switched
power source by using a 5 amp fuse (not provided) Check
with a meter to be certain that the +12 volt power is
switched or battery drain will occur. The black wire should
have a #6 ring terminal crimped on (not supplied) and
connected to chassis ground.
Install the antenna onto the inside glass so it does not fall
down while driving.
Install on a clean glass surface. Moisture can cause the
antenna to fall down.
Low temperature decreases the adhesion. Therefore, turn
on the heater if temperature is below 68 degree Fahrenheit.
Do not touch the sticky part of the tape.
Keep the distance between the side of window and antenna
element to a minimum of 1 inch. Touching the windows
can affect the transmission.
Do not run the antenna cables next to power or speaker
leads or noise problems can occur.
Installing the Antenna
Antenna Performance
Thoroughly clean the glass area with a clean cloth and glass
cleaner.
Be certain temperature of the glass is above 68 degrees Fahrenheit.
Remove the protective tape and mount the booster section.
Remove the protective tape and mount the antenna wire sections.
Make certain that antennas are securely installed with antenna
holders provided.
Stick the protective seal on the outside of the window to hide the
sticky part of the booster amp.
A car with a rear defroster or heating refract film can deflect the
signal which causes poor reception. Please check the type of glass
and film before installing the product.
Install this product on the inside of the car. Therefore, in some
cases, image of television can be affected.
Weak signals can be the cause of poor image or sound.
Heater, fan and other functions of the car can affect the TV
reception.
Tunnels or buildings can deflect the signals.
