MAINTENANCE
Milk can spoil quickly. For perfect milk froth and optimal hygiene,
clean the MILK MAS ER in two easy steps: Rinse out the MILK
MAS ER before putting it in the fridge, and clean it thoroughly every
3 to 4 days by hand.
Why should I rinse out the MILK MASTER?
o remove the majority of the milk residue. Rinsing the MILK
MASTER does not under any circumstances replace cleaning it by
hand!
When should I rinse out the MILK MASTER?
We recommend always rinsing out the MILK MAS ER before put-
ting it in the fridge. A notification will automatically be displayed on
the YOU-RIS A after each drink you prepare with milk. You can
rinse out the MILK MAS ER in between drinks or at a later time.
Tip: With firmware version 1.21 or higher of the YO -RISTA, we
have optimized the rinsing process so that if you rinse the MILK
MASTER regularly, it only needs to be washed by hand every 3-4
days.
If you would like to rinse out the
MILK MAS ER immediately after
preparing a drink with milk:
Select Now (1.).
Press the dial (2.) to start
rinsing.
You will not need an extra
container.
If you would NO like to rinse out
the MILK MAS ER immediately
after preparing a drink with milk:
Select Later (1.).
Press the dial (2.) to cancel the
rinsing process.

avoid accidental injury or damage.

the rinsing process is finished.

Tip: If you would like to rinse the
MILK MAS ER with more
water, simply fill the empty
MILK MAS ER with water
after use and then prepare a
milk specialty (e.g. “hot milk
froth”).
Rinsing at a later time
If you have interrupted the
rinsing process for the
MILK MAS ER, it should be
repeated
later. Proceed as follows:
Press the maintenance menu
button .
Select the menu option
Rinse (1.).
Press the dial (2.) to start
rinsing.
You will not need an extra
container.

MAN AL CLEANING
Why should I clean the MILK MASTER manually?
o ensure optimal hygiene, high-quality milk froth, and a long
service life of the appliance. Manual cleaning should be carried out
in addition to regular rinsing.
When do I have to clean the MILK MASTER manually?
In addition to rinsing the MILK MAS ER out, you should clean it
manually every 3 to 4 days.
ake the MILK MAS ER out of
the machine.
urn the motor unit counter-
clockwise as far as it will go.

Remove the motor unit from
the milk carafe.
urn the lid counter-clockwise
as far as it will go and remove
it from the motor unit.
Clean the carafe and lid in
warm water with mild dish
soap.
In case there is still milk in
the carafe that you would
like to use later, place the
carafe in the fridge with the
lid on.
ake off the transparent plastic
cover and blue silicone cover.
Carefully pull out the milk
spout adapter.
Unwrap the silicone casing
that is fitted around the milk
spout adapter.

Remove the silicone sleeve
from the milk spout adapter.
Carefully clean the different
parts illustrated here in warm
water with a little dish soap.
Use a soft toothbrush if neces-
sary.
All parts except for the milk
carafe and the motor unit
are also dishwasher-safe.
Clean the opening in the top of
the motor unit and the area
under the gears with warm
water and mild dish soap. urn
the gears somewhat when
doing so to clean out any pos-
sible remaining milk residue
underneath. Warning! The
gears cannot be removed.
Carefully dry all parts or let
them dry overnight.

Wrap the silicone casing
back around the milk spout
adapter. Tip: If you moisten
the silicone casing with a
little water first, it can be
inserted more easily into the
openings in the adapter.
Firmly press in the silicone
casing on all sides so that it
is correctly inserted in all
openings in the adapter and
lies flat.
If the silicone casing does
not fully seal the milk
spout adapter, the froth
will not be able to thicken
and the milk will spray out
when being dispensed.

Make sure that the three small
silicone nubs on the silicone
casing are not pressed in after
cleaning, or the milk cannot be
properly frothed.
Simply press the silicone nubs
back out if necessary.
Reassemble the motor unit.
Once finished, make sure that
all parts are correctly con-
nected and secure.
Otherwise the milk cannot be
properly frothed!
urn the lid clockwise as far as
it will go.
Place the motor unit back on
the milk carafe.

Silicone nub
urn the motor unit clockwise
until firmly in place.
Please note: If you would like to treat your MILK MAS ER and
freshen it up, take advantage of the MILK MAS ER fresh set. It con-
tains all of the parts that come into contact with milk when milk is
being frothed.
