CONNECTING TO WI-FI
Why should I connect the YOU-RISTA to Wi-Fi?
If you onne t your YOU-RISTA to Wi-Fi, you an reate
spe ialty drinks in the Qbo App and then send them to a YOU-RISTA
to prepare. The App will also support you with detailed instru tions
on how to best set up and take are of your ma hine. You an also
a tivate the App’s push notifi ations, whi h will give you timely
reminders whenever your Qbo ma hine needs to be leaned or
des aled, for example.
As soon as you onne t the ma hine to Wi-Fi, you be ome
its owner.
The following Wi-Fi networks are urrently supported by the
YOU-RISTA:
• unen rypted Wi-Fi networks, without password
• WEP
• WPA
• WPA2 Personal
Press the dial to swit h on the
ma hine.
Wait a moment until the Wi-Fi
indi ator light flashes. The
ma hine’s Wi-Fi fun tion is
now a tivated (Hotspot Mode).
Proceed with step 6.
Read the safety warnings arefully before using and
only use the produ t as des ribed in these instru -
tions to avoid a idental injury or damage.

If the Wi-Fi indi ator light lights
up permanently, the ma hine is
already onne ted to a Wi-Fi net-
work.
In order to onne t the ma hine
to a different Wi-Fi network, the
ma hine must first be reset to its
fa tory settings (see manual
“Reset the YOU-RISTA to fa tory
settings”).
If the Wi-Fi indi ator light does
NOT flash or light up, the
ma hine’s Wi-Fi fun tion is dea -
tivated. Proceed with step 3.
The ma hine’s Wi-Fi
fun tion will turn itself off
automati ally if you have
started your ma hine 20
times and no Wi-Fi on-
ne tion has been set up
within this time.
Press the settings menu
button .
Sele t the menu option
Wi-Fi: OFF (1.).
Press the dial (2.) to hoose
Select Wi-Fi options.

Sele t Turn on Wi-Fi (1.).
Press the dial (2.) to onfirm
your sele tion.
Open the Wi-Fi settings on
your smartphone.
Make sure that the ma hine
is still swit hed on.
Sele t the name of your
Qbo ma hine in the list of
networks.
You an find the name
of your ma hine in the set-
tings menu under
the option Machine in or-
mation.
Wait until the ma hine shows
up as onne ted.
Open the Qbo App.
The Wi-Fi setup starts
automati ally.
If the onne tion is not
su essful:
The Wi-Fi setup will start
up to 3 times automati-
ally. Afterwards you may
need to manually a tivate
the Wi-Fi setup by sele -
ting Other recipient
machines.
Sele t the Wi-Fi network to
whi h you would like to on-
ne t the ma hine and enter
the password if ne essary.

You will next be asked if you
would like to a tivate ma hine
updates.
These updates ensures your
ma hine is always up-to-date.
When available, updates are
always installed right before the
ma hine swit hes off automati-
ally, and the installation takes
only a few minutes.
Sele t Yes to a tivate ma hine
updates (re ommended).
Sele t No if you would prefer
not to a tivate ma hine
updates.
You an alternatively
a tivate the ma hine
updates at a later time (see
manual "A tivate automati
ma hine update").
If you a tivate the loud ommu-
ni ation, you will re eive servi es
that are tailored just for you: for
example, individualized ustomer
servi e based on your ma hine
information, surprises and tips in
the Qbo World, and personalized
offee statisti s.
Sele t Yes to a tivate the
loud ommuni ation
(re ommended).
Sele t No if you would prefer
not to a tivate the loud om-
muni ation.

Sele t Save. All Wi-Fi informa-
tion you have just entered will
now be sent to the ma hine.
The ma hine will now ask you to
press the dial in order to onfirm
the sent information.
Press the dial to onfirm the
re eipt of the Wi-Fi informa-
tion and settings.
You now have 30 se onds to
onfirm your
Wi-Fi information. If the
30 se onds elapse before
you press the dial, the
ma hine will automati ally
return to Hotspot Mode. In
this ase you will have to
repeat all steps from step 6.
As soon as the Wi-Fi has been su essfully set up, the ma hine’s
Wi-Fi indi ator light will light up permanently. The App will dire t
you to the details page for your Qbo ma hine. Here you will see the
urrent maintenan e status, and you an rename the ma hine or
hange settings.
If no onne tion an be established between the smartphone
and ma hine, the Wi-Fi information will be deleted after 3
onne tion attempts. The ma hine will automati ally return to
Hotspot Mode. In this ase you will have to repeat all steps
from step 6.
