Driver USB
It is possible to download t e drivers from t e download area in t e website: www.qem.it
or you can find t em in t e QEM CD in t e directyory “Driver/IQ009”.
Kit content:
(A) 1 IQ009 interface +
(B) 1 USB cable
(C) 1 miniUSB cable
(D) 1 miniUSB-DSUB9 cable

2. Drivers installation
●Now starts the installation procedure of US drivers for the IQ009 interface for Windows XP.
●Start Windows with administrative privileges.
●Connect th cable to the IQ009 interface A.
●Connect the cable to an US port of your PC.
●Connect the cable C (or D) to the IQ009 interface and the miniUS port of the MicroQmove
(or PROG port of the Qmove) .
On the PC will appear this dialog form:
Select “No, not this time.”
and then press“Next”.
Select in this window
“Insta from a ist or specific ocation (Advanced)”.
and press “Next”.
Select the path D:\Driver\IQ009
If you are using the CD.
If you download the driver from the websiste
select the directory containing it.
Once inserted the right path press “Next”.

The US driver installation is now complete
Press “Finish”.
On the PC will appear this dialog form:
Select “No, not this time.”
and then press “Next”.
Select in this window
“Insta from a ist or specific ocation (Advanced)”.
And press “Next”.

Select the path D:\Driver\IQ009
If you are using the CD.
If you download the driver from the websiste
select the directory containing it.
Once inserted the right path press “Next”.
Press “Finish”.
The installation of the IQ009 drivers is complete.
N. . The operating system will open a new communication port (COM), its name will be according to
the first available port number. For example: if in the system two ports are used (COM1 and COM2),
the COM3 port will be used.

3. Development environment settings
Install the development environment “Qview” from the CD or from the website: www.qem.it.
From the directory “Qview” execute the file.
The installation of Qview 5 is a standard for Windows operating system.
Start “Qview 5”
and select “Options – Program setup...”.
Select in “Communications” the number of the
COM (from 1 to 16) associated to the US
port of the PC.
N. .To know the name assigned by the PC to
the port go to the contro pane and verify in
“periphera management” the port number
associated to the interface.
It is now possible to open the serial
communication between the PC and the
Qmove system. Press the key on the toolbar
indicated by the arrow in the picture
(open/close communication).
Check the communication status in the status
bar indicated by the arrow.
N. . The same operations could be done from the development environment Qpaint5.

4. Problem solving
Problem: t e serial communication
between PC and Qmove does not open
Solution: check that the selected COM port is right.
Go to peripheral management and check out the port
number.
Problem: drivers installation fails and
Windows s ows error code 10
Solution: Windows error code 10 indicates a
hardware error or the drivers installation failure. This
could happen if a device is not supplied properly to
operate (for example connected to a bus powered hub
with other devices), ot it could indicate a serious
hardware problem.
It could be possible that the US root hub drivers are
not properly installed.

Problem: Windows XP s ows an error
and terminates t e installation.
Solution: the ways to install successfully the device
are two. The certified driver (if available) installation or
changing th driver option. To change the actual drivers
signing setting go to the “control panel / system”, click
on “hardware” and so on “driver signing”. The desired
setting could be now selected.
Problem: t e operating system c ose a
COM port wit number superior to 16
Solution: change the port number in the advanced
options inside port properties.
