1 Product Introduction
1.1 Overview
The QA-660 master-tape grade digitaltransport /player(hereinafterreferred toasQA660)isa
HI-END productproduced forenthusiasticfans.Its softwarewasdeveloped forthree years and
itshardwarewasupgraded multipletimesbyQLS-HiFi. It isan enthusiastdigitalplayerthatcan
catch up withand even surpass mostCD players; itsextremelyperfectsound performance can
completelyshowthe realpotentialofyoursystem.the complex powersupply,mostreal-time
softwarestructure, ultra-lowJitterclock anddigitalprocessing circuit can ensureitsHI-END
grade ultra-lowjitterdigitaloutputcharacteristic.
1.2 StorageMedium
SDCard:SD/SDHC/SDXCareall available, FAT32filesysterm,maximumstorage is128
GBSDXC.
Note: 1)Ifthe SDcardisused forthe first time, pleaseformatit tothe FAT32 filesystemwith
correspondingformatting tools.
2)The SDcardalong withplayerisusuallyformatted, and therearealsosometesttrackswhich
can be used directly.

QA660 Support the following audio formats:
-WAV:Support 16/24bit, 44.1~192 kHz.
-FLAC:Support 16/24bit, 44.1 kHz~48 kHz, compression level0~8.
-APE:Support 16 bit, 44.1 kHz, compression levelfastand normal.
-WAVPack:Support 16 bit, 44.1 kHz, compression levelfastmode and high quality.
-MP3:Support 16bit, 44.1/48 kHz,96k bps~320k bps,CBR/VBR/ABRencoding.
-CUE:Support ANSI/UNICODE/UTF-8 Encoding.

thereareless than 10%DAC cannotlock signalsnormallydue tothe absence ofsuch input
resistance. Ifyourequipmentbelongsto thistype, you can choose the othertwo coaxialoutput.
Therearesubtledifferencesamong the three coaxialoutputintones,you can choosethe port
you like aftercomparison.

2. Play Operation
2.1 Starting Up
Plug in the powercord, turnon the powersupply, then you can start up.
2.2 Mute
Press theMutekeyon the top left cornerofremotecontrol,then the playerwouldentermute
mode, thereisamuteicon onthe displayscreen,Ifyou press the Mutekeyonce again, the host
machine would exit Mute mode.
2.3 Back
Playerisdivided intothe maininterface, folderlist,track list,CUElist,favoriteslistand play
interface, use the BACKkeyto switch interfacesbetween them.
2.4 Play/Pause/Enter
Press the Play/Pause/Enterkeyon the frontpanelorremotecontroltostartplaying. Press
again, it would be pause.
Selectplaytrack you needed fromthe tracklist,pressthe Play/Pause/Enterkeytostart
playing
2.5 FB/FF
Long press the Left/Rightkeyson the frontpanelorthe /▶▶” keyson the remotocontrol
can fastbackwordorfastforword currenttrack in the play interface;
2.6 Replay
Replaymeansif you press the REPLAYkeyon the remotecontrol,it wouldreplaythe current
track regardless ofthe position it played to.
2.7 Rewind
Ifyou press the REWINDonthe remotecontrol,it wouldreplaythe previoustrack.Forexample,
the previoustrack isA.WAV,the currenttrack isB.WAV, if you press the REWIND key,it would
playA.WAV.
2.8 PageUp/Down
Press the Left /Rightkeyson the frontpanelorthe F-/F+keyson the remoto controlcan quickly
flip overinFolder/Track/CUE/Favoriteslistinterface.
2.9 Previous/NextFolder
Inthe Folder/Track/Playinterface, usethe F-/F+keysonthe remotecontrolcan quicklyswitch
to the previous/nextfolder(album).

2.10 ChooseTrack
You can choose yourtrack with the following methods:
Bypressing the“▍”or “▶▶▍”keysto choose previousornexttrack;
Press the Back keytoreturntotrack list,press Up/Downnavigation keytochooseothertracks
inthe currentfolder(Album); press theBack keyagain, you wouldreturntofolder(Album)list,
press Up/Downnavigation keytochooseyourfolder(Album),then, press the Pause/Play/Enter
keytoenterthisfolder(Album),press Up/Downnavigation keytochoosethe track you
want.Afterthat, press the Pause/Play/Enterkeyto start playing.
2.11 SeekTrack
Press a digitalkeyfrom1 to9, corresponding indexed trackscan be located directly.
Pressthe “__”/ “__ _”/ “____”NumberIndex on remotecontrol,andthen inputtrack number,
to quicklytracksyou want.
You can choosetosearchtrackswithinthe folderorthe wholecard,depending on theplayrange
ofthe track.
2.12 SeekFolder
“Fn+numbers”isusetolocated the folder,pleasepressthe “Fn”keyon remotecontrol,and
then entera number.
-UseFn +numberkeys(1-9)to located corresponding indexed folders ranging from1 to 9.
-UseFn + “_ _”keysto located corresponding indexed folders ranging from1 to 99.
-UseFn + “_ _ _”keysto located corresponding indexedfolders ranging from1 to 999.
2.13 DeleteTrack
Inthe track listorplayinterface, selectthe trackyou need toremove, and thenpressthe DEL
keyon the remote controlto enterthe deleteing interface, selectYesto delete, selectNo to exit.
Note:Deleteoperationthe isphysicaldeletion, deleted tracksareunrecoverable, pleasebe
caution.
2.14 PositioningTime
Press theTIMEkeyon the remotecontrol,enterthe timeyou wanttolocate, then can jump
directlyto a specified pointin time to play.
2.15A-BReplay
Thisfunction isusedto replay a certain section oftrack repeatedly.
Pressthe A-Bkeyon remotecontrol,choosethe starting pointA,andwhenit reachesthe endof
the section, press the keyagain to choose finalpointB.
When AandBareset,the section between Aand Bwouldbe repeated anaginand againuntil
you press the A-Bkeyagain.
The playprogress indicators ofpointAandpointBondisplayscreen aremarked withatiny

verticalbar, shown asthe following picture.
Note:pointAand Bdo notreallyexit on displayscreen, here are forexplanation.
2.16 CUEPlay Operation
Selectthe CUEfiletoenterthe CUElist,and choosethe CUEindextoPlay.Itsupport loop,
random,playonce and one cycleplaying mode, butthe playrange islimited tothe currentCUE
listand displayed as “Album”in playerinterface.
Note:CUEfilesand track filesmustbe stored in the same file folder.
2.17 FavoritesPlay Operation
Favoritesplayoperationsaredivided intoaddingandremoving certainindexed track ofthe
Favorites.
Enterthetrackslistorplayinterface inSDcardplayback mode, press thecustomfunction key
F1on the remotecontrolorlong press the frontpanelkey “play/pause”1to2seconds,then
releasethe key,when prompted “Add tofavorites”,Select “YES”toadd thecurrenttrack to
favorites, select “NO”to exit;
Enterthe favoriteslistorplayinterface inFavoritesplayback mode, press the customfunction
keyF1 on the remote controlorlong press the frontpannelkey “play/pause”1 to 2 seconds, then
releasethe key,when prompted “DelfromFavorites”,selectYEStodelete, selectNOtoexit.
(Deleteoperation onlyremovethe tracksinthe favorites,notphysicallydeletethe tracksinthe
SDcard).
Note:Infavoritesplayoperation, it alsosupport loop,random,playonce, one cycleplayback
mode, butthe playback range islimited withincurrentlistoffavoritesand displayed as
“Favorites”in playinterface.
2.18 Full-screen
Inplayerinterface, press the left/rightkeyson the frontpanelorthe P-/P+keyson remote
controlto switch to full-screen interface.
Note:Locating folders,locating tracks,positioning timeand A-Btruncated playback operation
are notsupported in full-screen.
3. FunctionSettings
3.1.Approaches ofFunctionSettings
Press theMENUkeyon the frontpanelorremote controlto enterthe Setup Menu interface.
Press theUp/Downkeyon the frontpanelorremotecontroltochoosethefunctionitemyou
wantto set.
Pressthe Left/Rightkeyon the frontpanelorremotecontroltosetthe function parameteryou

Aftersetting, Press theMENUkeyon frontpanelorremotecontroltosaveand exitthe Setup

3.2. Play Mode
Playmode can be setas:
Loop, Random, Onecycle, Once.
3.3 Play Range
Playrange can besetas:
All Card:all the tracksin SDcard are effective files.
Folder: onlythe tracksinthecurrentfolderareeffective, the selection oftracksisalsolimited
within thisfolder.
Note: Please store one albumtracksin one folder.
3.4 MemoryPlay/AutoPlay
Thisfunction can be setas:
lON:Playthe track automaticallybefore powerfailure afterstartup.
lOFF:EnterFolderListafterstartup, readyfornextoperation.
3.5 Language
The wordstockadoptsGBKencoding which can support morethan 20, 000 GBcode, the
languagesavailable are asfollows:
lSimplified Chinese.
lTraditionalChinese.
lEnglish.
3.6 Progress Indicator
The available progress indicators are asfollows:

The brightness ofdisplayscreen can be setas:50, 100, 150, 200, 250.
3.11 Key SpeedSetting
The keyspeed mainlymeansthe processing speed settingafterlong-pressing ofkey.Itcan beset
as:10, 20, 30, 40, 50,60, 70,80, 90,100.
3.12 SystemInfo
Thisfunction ismainlyused to check the currentsysteminformation, such as:

4.UpgradeFirmware
Upgrade operation includesthe upgrade ofmastercontrolprogram, word stock, etc.
Copythe upgrade documentsinto SDcard rootdirectorythrough card reader.
Pluginthe SDcardwhich hasupgrade documents,keeppressing the Pause/Play/Enterkeyand
turnon thepowersupplyorresetthe hostmachine, thenyou can enterthe operation ofupgrade
mode.
Selectthe upgrade documentsfromthe upgrade documentslist,pressthe Pause/Play/Enterkey,
and then the upgrade wouldgetstarted. When it isfinished, restart the powersupplyorresetthe
hostmachine, then the upgrade iscompleted.
