Precautions
Read carefully before proceeding
🔺
!Warning
Always follow the basic precautions listed below to avoid the possibility of serious injury or even death from electrical shock, short-cir-
cuiting damages, fire or other hazards. These precautions include but are not limited to the following.
Power supply/AC power adapter
• Do not place the power cord near heat sources such as
heaters or radiators. Also, do not excessivelu bend or
otherwise damage the cord, or place heavy objects on it
• Only use the voltage specified as correct for the instrument.
The required voltage is printed on the name plate of the
instrument.
• Use the specified adapter (page 32) only. Using the
wrong adapter can result in damage to the instrument or
overheating
• Check the electric plug periodically and remove any dirt or
dust which may have accumulated on it.
Do not open
• This instrument contains no user-serviceable parts. Do not
open the instrument or attempt to disassemble or modify
the internal components in any way. If it should appear to
be malfunctioning, discontinue use immediately and have it
inspected by qualified Yamaha service personnel.
Water Warning
• Do not expose the instrument to rain, use it near water or in
damp or wet conditions, place on it any containers (such as
vases, bottles or glasses) containing liquids which might spill
into any openings. If any liquid such as water seeps into the
instrument, turn off the power immediately and unplug the
power cord from the AC outlet. Then have the instrument
inspected by qualified QRS Music service personnel.
• Never insert or remove an electric plug with wet hands.
Fire Warning
• Do not put burning items, such as candles, on the unit. A
burning item may fall over and cause fire.
If you notice any abnormality
• When one of the following problems occur, immediately
turn off the power switch and disconnect the electric plug
from the outlet. Then have the device inspected by QRS
Music service personnel.
– The power cord or plug becomes frayed or damaged.
– It emits unusual smells or smoke.
– Some object has been dropped into the instrument.
– There is a sudden loss of sound during use of the
instrument.

!Caution

Power supply/AC Power Adapter
• Do not connect the instrument to an electrical outlet using
a multiple-connector. Doing so can result in lower sound
quality, or possibly cause overheating in the outlet.
• When removing the electric plug from the instrument or an
outlet, always hold the plug itself and not the cord. Pulling
tby the cord can damage it.
• Remove the electric plug from the outlet when the instru-
ment is not to be used for extended periods of time or
during electrical storms
Location
• Do not place the instrument in an unstable position where it
might accidentally fall over.
• When transporting or moving the instrument, always use
two or more people. Attempting to lift the instrument by
yourself may damage your back, result in other injury, or
cause damage to the instrument itself.
• Before moving the instrument, remove all connected cables,
to prevent damage to the cables or injury to anyone who
might trip over them.

• Do not insert a finger or hand in any gaps on the key cover
or instrument. Also take care that the key cover does not
pinch your finger.
• Never insert or drop paper, metallic, or other objects into the
gaps on the key cover,panel or keyboard. This could cause
physical injury to you or others, damage to the instrument or
other property, or operational failure.
• Do not rest your weight on, or place heavy objects on the
instrument, and do not use excessive force on the buttons,
switches or connectors.
• When setting up the product, make sure tha e AC outlet you
are using is easily accessible. If some trouble o malfunction
occurs, immediately turn off the po ver switch and
• Do not place the bench in an unstable position where it
might accidentally fall over.
• Do not play carelessly with or stand on any bench. Using it as
a tool or stepladder or for any other purpose might result in
accident or injury.
• Only one person should sit on the bench at a time, in order
to prevent the possibility of accident or injury. If the bench
screws come loose due to extensive longterm use, tighten
them periodically using the included tool.
• Keep special watch over any small children so that they don’t
fall off the rear of the bench. Since the bench does not have a
backrest, unsupervised use may result in accident or in jury.
Assembly
• Read carefully the attached documentation explaining the
assembly process. Failure to assemble the instrument in the
proper sequence might result in damage to the instrument
or even injury.
• Before connecting the instrument to other electronic
components, turn off the power for all components.
• Before turning the power on or off for all components, set all
volume levels to minimum.
• Be sure to set the volumes of all components at their
minimum levels and gradually raise the volume controls
while playing the instrument to set the desired listening
level.
Connections
Handling Caution Using The Bench (if applied)
disconnect the plug from the outlet. Even when the power
switch is turned off, electricity is still flowing to the product
at the minimum level. When you are not using the product
for a long time, make sure to nplug the power cord from the
wall AC outlet.
• Use only the stand specified for the instrument. When
attaching the stand or rack,use the provided screws
only. Failure to do so could cause damage to the internal
components or result in the instrument falling over.
• Do not use the instrument/device or headphones for a
long period of time at a high or uncomfortable volume
level, since this can cause permanent hearing loss. If you
experience any hearing loss or ringing in the ears, consult a
physician.
QRS Music can not be held responsible for damage caused by improper use or modifications to the instru-
ment, or data that is lost or destroyed.
NOTICE
To avoid the possibility of malfunction/ damage to the product, damage to data, or damage to other property, follow the notices
below.
Handling and Maintenance
• Do not use the instrument in the vicinity of a TV, radio, stereo equipment, mobile phone, or other electric devices. Otherwise, the
instrument, TV, or radio may generate noise. When you use the instrument along with the application on your iPhone/iPad, we
recommend that you set“Airplane Mode” to “ON” on your iPhone/iPad in order to avoid noise caused by communication.
• Do not expose the instrument to excessive dust or vibrations, or extreme cold or heat (such as in direct sunlight, near a heater, or
in a car during the day) to prevent the possibility of panel disfiguration, damage to the internal components or unstable operation.
(Verified operating temperature range: 5 • - 40 ° C, or 41 ° - 104 ° F.)
• Do not place vinyl, plastic or rubber objects on the instrument, since this might discolor the panel or keyboard. * In the case of a
model with a polished finish, bumping the surface of the instrument with metal, porcelain, or other hard objects can cause the
finish to crack or peel. Use caution.
• During extreme changes in temperature or humidity, condensation may occur and water may collect on the surface of the
instrument. If water is left, the wooden parts may absorb the water and be damaged. Make sure to wipe any water off immediately
with a soft cloth.

• Saved data may be lost due to malfunction or incorrect operation. Save important data to external device such as a computer (see
online manual, Computer-related Operations; page 7)

Turning the Power On
Basic Operations
1. Connect the plugs of the AC power adapter in the order shown in the illustration.
🔺
!CAUTION
Remove the AC plug from the AC outlet when the instrument is not to be used for extended periods of time, or
during electrical storms.
NOTE: Follow this procedure in reverse order when disconnecting the power adapter.
2. Connect the instrument to a right circuit outlet, then press the button on the left side of the piano desk.
Now the default sound is Grand piano.
Please pull out the plug from the outlet socket when you left the instrument for a certain number of hours.
ADJUST VOLUME
Adjust the[Master Volume]button which on the top left of the side board to set the
instrument volume. The volume goes up in clockwise rotation; On the contrary, the
volume goes down. Do not used this instrument at a high volume level (Especially when
using headphone) or your hearing may be damaged. Master Volume
Demo Song
I. Press[Demo ]button. The light is on and the screen shows the demo song and will play it automatically.
Press[Date/Tempo+/-] to choose the demo song you want.
2. Press[Demo ]button again, the light is off and the demo playing function will be stop.
Sound
l. Press[Soundjbutton,the light is on and the screen shows the sound.
Press[ Date/Tempo+/-! to choose the sound you want. [For the sound list, please see the Appendix].
2. No operation with in 5 seconds,the sound light will be off and exit the sound function automatically.

Sound
l. Press[Sound button, the light is on and the screen shows the sound.
Press[ Date/Tempo+/-! to choose the sound you want. [For the sound list, please see the Appendix].
2. No operation with in 5 seconds,the sound light will be off and exit the sound function automatically.
Function
The instrument is easy to handle. All the function are easy to be activated and every key has a function for you to
use.(The function is printed the front of the key)
1. Press [ Function ] button. The function light will be on and activated, then press the corresponding key for
the function you need.
2. Press the [Function]button again or no operation within 5 seconds. The function light will be off and exit the
function setting. Here the keyboard. have the corresponding function which you choose.
(Note: when you are in the function setting status, the keyboard is silent)
1) Chord
1. The piano has a Chord function: Press the [Function] button, the function’s button light will turn on and the
screen will show ”Function choosing”;
Press the [ Chord on] key within 5 seconds. The screen will show ” Chord: On” which means that the chord
function is on.
2. Press the [Function] button, the function’s light will turn on. Then press the [Chord off ] key, the screen will
show ”Chord: Off” which means that the chord function is now off.

2) Octave
1. Press the [Function] button, the function’s button light will turn on, and the screen will show ”Function
choosing”
Press the [Octave+/-] Key: the screen will show “Octave:+8/-8” on the top, then you can adjust the pitch of
the keyboard.
2. Press the [Function ] button again or no operation within 5 seconds, the light will turn off and you will exit
the keyboard pitch setup.
3) Transpose
With this function you can adjust sharp or flat a semitone with in an octave of twelve.
1. Press the [Function] Button the function’s button light will turn on, and the screen will show ”Function choosing
”
Press the [Transpose+/-] key, the screen will show ”Transpose+ 1/-1”, then adjust the pitch between -12 and +12.
2. Press the [Function] button or have no operation within 5 seconds, the light will turn off and will exit the
keyboard transpose function.
4) Soundboard Resonance
1. Press the [Function] button, the function’s button light will turn on, and the screen will show ”Function choosing”
Press the [Soundboard Resonance On] Key: the screen will show ”Soundboard resonance: On” , then the
soundboard resonance function is activated and it will have the resonance effect when playing.
2. Press the [Function ] button or have no operation within 5 seconds, the light will turn off, the screen will
show “Soundboard resonance: Off” and you will exit the soundboard resonance setup.

5) Eect
1. Press the [Function] button, the function’s button light will turn on, and the screen will show ”Function choosing”
Press the [Effect On] key within 5 seconds, and the screen will show ”Effect: On” which means the effect
function is now activated and effects will be applied to your playing.
2. Press the [Function ] button, the function buttons light will turn on, then press the [Effect Off ] key with in 5
seconds, the screen will show “Effect: Off” and you will exit the effect setup.
6) Reverb
1. Press the [Function] button, the function’s button light will turn on, and the screen will show ”Function choosing”
Press the [Reverb On] key within 5 seconds, and the screen will show ”Reverb: On” which means the reverb
function is now activated and Reverb will be applied to your playing.
2. Press the [Function ] button, the function buttons light will turn on, then press the [Reverb Off] key within 5
seconds, the screen will show “Reverb: Off” and you will exit the reverb setup.
7) Chorus
1. Press the [Function] button, the function’s button light will turn on, and the screen will show ”Function choosing”
Press the [Chorus On] key within 5 seconds, and the screen will show ”Chorus: On” which means the chorus
function is now activated and Chorus will be applied to your playing.
2. Press the [Function ] button, the function buttons light will turn on, then press the [Chorus Off ] key within 5
seconds, the screen will show “Chorus: Off” and you will exit the chorus setup.

8) Beat
1. The instrument has 9 beats, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 respectively. Press the [Function]button, nd the screen will show ”
Function choosing”
Press the corresponding beat key, the screen shows the corresponding beat, then choose the one you
would like.
2. Press the [Function ] button again or do nothing for 5 seconds, the function buttons light will turn off, and
confirm your setting (7, 8, 9, corresponds to the black keys above)
9) Touch
1. There are 4 touch settings/curves - Default, Light, Standard & Heavy as well as Touch On/Off. Light, Standard &
Heavy are available to choose.
Press the [Function] button, the function’s button light will turn on, and the screen will show ”Function choosing”
Press the corresponding touch key within 5 seconds and the screen will show which touch means the keyboard
touch function is activated.
2. Press the [Function ] button again, or do nothing for 5 seconds and the function buttons light will turn off.
The touch function will revert back to default.
10) Split
1. Press the [Function] button, the function’s button light will turn on, and the screen will show ”Function choosing”
Press the “split” key within 5 seconds and the screen will show “keyboard split point=65” which means the
keyboard status and where it is split.
2. Press the [Function ] button again, or do nothing for 5 seconds and the function buttons light will turn off.
The split point setting will be displayed for confirmation
11) Touch Switch
1. Touch On: The default touch is on when you turn on the instrument.
2. Touch Off: Press the [Touch] button and the Touch Function light will turn off.

Choosing A Sound
Grand piano : Grand piano sound is default sound,when you turn on the instrument, the Grand piano sound
Light will be on.
Organ: Press the[Organ]Button, the associated light on the [Organ]and[Sound] buttons will be on at the same
time. The screen shows will show “Church Organ” and you’ll get an Organ Sound.
Press the [Date/Tempo +/-] button to choose other sounds. (The[Sound] buttons light will be off and exit the
Organ sound setting function when there is no button activity for 5 seconds)
Guitar: Press the [Guitar] Button, and the [Guitar]and[Sound] buttons light will be lit at the same time. The
screen will show “Classical Guitar” and will deliver a Guitar Sound.
Press the [Date/Tempo +/-] button to choose other sounds. (The[Sound] buttons light will be off and exit the
Guitar sound setting function when there is no button activity for 5 seconds)
Bass: Press the [Bass]Button, and the [Bass]and[Sound] button lights will be lit at the same time. The screen will
show "Acoustic Bass" and will deliver an acoustic Bass sound.
Press the [Date/Tempo +/-] button to choose other sounds. (The[Sound] buttons light will be off and exit the
Bass sound setting function when there is no button activity for 5 seconds)

Strings: Press the [Strings]Button, and the [Strings]and[Sound] button lights will be lit at the same time. The
screen will show "String Ensemble]" and will deliver a String Ensemble sound.
Press the [Date/Tempo +/-] button to choose other sounds. (The[Sound] buttons light will be off and exit the
String sound setting function when there is no button activity for 5 seconds)
Percussion: Press the [Percussion]Button, and the [Percussion]button light will be lit. The screen will show "GM
Standard Kit]" then press the [Sound] button and the [Sound]button light will be lit allowing you to choose your
percussion setting.
Press the [Date/Tempo +/-] button to choose other sounds. (The[Sound] buttons light will be off and exit the
Percussion sound setting function when there is no button activity for 5 seconds)
Record and Playback
The digital piano can record your performances, including the built-in accompaniment of the system.
Operation as follows:
Record:
1. Press the [Record] button and the [Record] button light will be lit. The metronome and record functions will
be turned on. If you want to turn the metronome voice off, press the [Metronome] button to close it.
2. Press the[Record] button and the [Record] button light will turn off and you’ll have exited the record
function.

Play:
1. Press the [Play] button and the [Play] button light will be lit. The screen will show you an icon representing
that the music you just recorded is playing back.
2. After playback the [Play] button light will be off and the icon will disappear.
Metronome
1. Press the [Metronome] button and the [Metronome] button light will be lit. The screen will show and blink
an icon “ 444 “ and the metronome voice will be heard.
Press the [Date/Tempo+/-] and the screen will show “Tempo=120” ( the default), you can adjust the tempo
by pressing the [Date/Tempo+/-] button.
2. Press the [Metronome] button and the [Metronome] button light will go off and you’ll have exited the
metronome function.
Using Accompaniment
Accompaniment is an easy way to brings more life to your music.
Rhythm:
1. Press the [Accompany] button and the [Accompany] button’s light will be lit. The screen will show “Rhythm”.
Press the [Date/Tempo+/-] button to choose the rhythm, the screen will show the corresponding name of
the rhythm.
2. When there is no activity for 5 seconds, the [Accompany] button light will go off and exit the rhythm
function automatically.

Accompaniment is an easy way to bring more life to your music.
Accompaniment Volume -/+:
1. Press the [Accompany volume +/-] button and the Accompaniment’s volume will be displayed in the
top left corner of the screen. Pressing [Accompany +] or [Accompany -] will raise or lower the volume
accordingly. It will exit automatically without delay.
Start/Stop: Press the Start/Stop button, and it will control when the accompaniment starts
and stops - with or without play.
Synchronous Start :
1. A long press of the [SYN Start] button and the screen will show three blinking triangular symbols. Play
any keys and the accompaniment will be activated automatically (If the chord function is on, press the
corresponding key of the Chord.)
2. Press the [SYN Start] button and the accompaniment will be stopped.
A ll 1:
1. When the [A fill 1] button is on (default status), Press[Start/Stop] button, the screen shows three blinking
triangular symbols.
2. 2. Press the [A fill l] button, the indicated light is on. Accompaniment inserts rhythm A
B ll 2:
1. When the [B fill 2] button is on (default status), Press the [Start/Stop] button, and the screen will show three
blinking triangular symbols.
2. Press the [B fill 2] button again and the indicated light will be on accompaniment inserts rhythm B

Prelude\Finale
1. Press the [ Prelude\Finale] button , the [Start/Stop] indicator light will turn on simultaneously. The screen will
show 3 blinking triangular symbols. The Prelude will be inserted into your music.
2. Press the [Prelude\Finale] button, the [Prelude\Finale] button light will be lit. The finale will be inserted into
your music. Then the [Prelude\Finale] button light will go off and accompaniment will stop.
Dual Sound
1. Press the [Dual Sound] button to display the dual sound status, the [Dual Sound] button light will be lit. The
default sound is sound:048 STRINGS.
2. Press the [Date/Tempo+/-] button to select a second sound. The first sound setting needs to be adjusted
prior to pressing the [Dual Sound] button again.
3. Pressing the [Dual Sound] button will turn off the dual sound effect and bring it back to the first sound.
Double Keyboard
The function divides the keyboard into two separate operating areas
1. Select the sound you would like to hear out of the left side of the keyboard before pressing the [Double
keyboard] button. Press the [Sound] button its light will turn on then press the [Date/Tempo +/-] button to
change the sound.
2. Press the [Double keyboard] button to get into the double keyboard status, the keyboard will be divided into
two separated operating areas. The default split point is C. Press the [Sound] button and select the sound of
right side keyboard by pressing [Date/Tempo+/-] button.
3. Press the[Double keyboard] button to exit the double keyboard status.
