• Duringinitialinstallation,thetemperatureandhumiditysensors
maytakeuptoanhourormoretoacclimatetocurrentconditions.
• Placetheweatherforecasterinawell-ventilatedindoorarea
locatedawayfromvents,heatingorcoolingelements,direct
sunlight,windows,doors,oranyotheropenings.
• Placethesensoronaatindoororoutdoorsurfaceawayfrom
directsunlightandmoisture.Makesuretheforecasterandsensor
arewithin98feet(30m)ofeachother,withoutobstructions
betweenthem.Toavoidinterference,placetheforecasterand
sensorawayfromotherelectronicdevices.
• Ifthesensorisplacedoutdoor,thesensorshouldbemountedhigh
enoughoffthegroundwherewater,
snow,andraincannotaccumulate
andalsohighenoughwhereitis
outofreachforchildren.Thesensor
shouldbemountedontoavertical
atsurface.Avoidlocationwhere
rainandwaterfallsdirectlyontothe
sensor.

Install Batteries
1. InserttwoAAAbatteries(notincluded)intothesensor
andtwoAAAbatteries(notincluded)intotheweather
forecaster,matchingthepolaritysymbols(+and–)marked
insideeachbatterycompartment.
2. PressRESET onbothunits.
Battery Notes:
• Reset your forecaster after
replacing the batteries or if the system malfunctions. When you
press RESET, all settings will return to default value, and all stored
information will be lost.
• When the low battery icon appears or the display dims, replace
the batteries.
• Use alkaline batteries for longer usage, or use lithium batteries in
temperatures below –4°F (–20°C).
• Dispose of batteries promptly and properly. Do not burn or bury
batteries.
• Use only fresh batteries of the required size and recommended
type.
• Do not mix old and new batteries, different types of batteries
(standard, alkaline, or rechargeable), or rechargeable batteries of
different capacities.
• If you do not plan to use the forecaster for a month or more,
remove the batteries from the weather forecaster and the sensor.
Batteries can leak chemicals that can destroy electronic parts.

followingactionsmayestablishtheconnection:
• PressTXonthesensorandthenpressandholdCHANNEL.
• Relocatethesensorand/ortheweatherforecasteruntil
connectionisfound.
• Thesensormaynotfunctionproperlyinextreme
temperatureswhichaffectsbatterypower.Replacethe
batteries.Theunitwillresumeproperfunctioninmore
moderateweather.
Care and Maintenance
• Handletheforecasterandsensorcarefully.Donotdrop
them.
• Keeptheforecasterdry.Ifitgetswet,wipeitdry
