1.Introduction
RADIX TRAIL CAMERASis a digital scouting and infrared surveillance camera, triggered
by any movement of humans or animals monitored by a high sensitive Passive Infrared (PIR) motion
sensor, and then automatically captures high quality pictures or records audio video clips according to
default settings or preset settings.
These camera uses the invisible/visible flash night vision LEDs for night time illumination. These LEDs
will/will not have a red grow when illuminated depending on the model. It will deliver clear photos or
videos (in black &white) even in the dark. And it will take 12MP color photos or 1080P videos under
sufficient daylight.
The camera is designed for outdoor use and is resistant against water and snow.

1.2 Shooting Information Display
Entry to setting mode (press to be activated LCD screen). The current settings will be displayed on
LCD.
2 Cautions
The working voltage of the camera is 6V12V. The camera is supplied by 4 or 8 AA batteries. Please
install batteries according to shown polarity.
Must insert the SD card before power on. If no SD card is inserted, the camera will shut down
automatically.

Before inserting the SD card, please make sure the power switch is in OFF position. Please do not insert
or take out the SD card when the power switch is in ON position.
It is recommended to format the SD card by the camera when used for the first time. Many other SD
cards formatted by other cameras, have poor compatibility with different brands of cameras.
3.Getting Started /Quick Start Guide
3.1 Power Supply
Insert 4 pieces of AA batteries into the battery boxing according to the polarities sign on the battery tray.
The following batteries can be used:
√Performance alkaline batteries
√Rechargeable battery with higher capacity (will not work in and lower temperatures)
√Lithium batteries (for the cooler season)
3.2 Insert the SD card
Before inserting the SD card, please make sure the camera is turned off. Insert a SD memory card,
between 2GB and 32GB into memory card slot with the correct orientation.
3.3 Power ON and enter into the ON Mode
Before turning on the ON Mode, please pay attention to the following:
1.Avoid temperature and motion disturbances in front of the camera such as a big leaf, curtain, air-
conditioner, air outlet of the chimney and other heat sources to prevent from false triggering.
2. The height from the ground for placing the camera should vary with the object size appropriately. In
general, three to six feet is preferred. Never place or install the camera directly to the floor or ground.
Press the !until you see the message about running into traffic and then the camera will enter into
the ON Mode. In this state, the Indicator LEDs will blink for about 5s. The 5s is a buffering time before
automatically capturing photos or videos.
3.4 Enter into the Setting Mode
Pressing the power button !for four seconds until the LCD screen displays the logo and entering into
the Setting Mode.
3.5 Manual Capturing
When the camera in Setting mode, pressing the power button !to manually capture a photo, and it
will store in the SD card automatically. If the camera is in Video mode, press the power button to
start recording a video and again to stop recording.
3.6 Power OFF
Press the power button to turn off the camera.
Turn off the work mode, pressing the power button until the LCD displays the announcement of

shutdown.
Turn off the setting mode, pressing the power button again until the LCD displays the
announcement of shutdown.
Note: Even in OFF mode, the camera still consumes a small amount of battery power. Therefore,
please remove the batteries if the camera is not in use.
4 Advanced Operations
From the basic operations of the camera previewed in the previous chapter, we know that the camera
has two key function button.
Key button:
!Turn on/turn off button, scroll through the Menus.
Entry to menu, confirm the settings and cursor movement within the settings, switch to operation
mode and return back from operation mode to settings mode.
4.1 The settings menu (Menu)
Once in SETTING mode, pressing the will entry to the Menu which allow you to select any parameters
and change its setting. The name of the parameter and its current setting will be shown on the LCD.
Pressing !to scroll through menus,and pressing to confirm.
There are two parts on the menu. Basic menu contains a total of 8 sections, and the advanced menu-
offers advanced settings.

4.2.2 Advanced menu

Choose the image size and the shooting photo

Fixed time
The camera can be set to only record/capture at a certain time of
the day when set to ON mode. The rest of the time the camera will
be shut off and will not record/capture any triggers by movement.
This function can be set to OFF which means the camera works all
day.
Time interval
Time interval means the camera can capture images or videos at a
preset time interval regardless of whether motions are detected. The
default parameter is OFF, changing this parameter to a non-zero
value turns on the Time interval mode, and camera will take photos
or videos at given time interval.
PIR interval
This parameter indicates how long the PIR (Passive Infrared Motion
Detector) will be disabled after each triggering in ON mode. During
this time the PIR of the device will not react to the motion of human
(or animals). The minimum interval is 1 second. If you set it in OFF,
it means the PIR will not work even if it can be triggered.
Time stamp
This parameter used to set the time stamp on to the photos or
videos, when set ON, the photos or video will have the time stamp,
otherwise OFF don't display a time stamp.
Beep sound

Sensitivity
This parameter defines the sensitivity of the PIR.
IR Led
Controls how many LED lamps fire when images are taken in low
light. Set to Medium if you are getting overexposed flash photos.
Set clock
You ca n cha nge the da te and time when necessary
Password
If set the password, when switched on, the camera's LCD screen
will be prompted for a password, you can set up 4 digital pin code.
Factory setting
If you press OK, you can choose to return menu setting into
defaults.

4.5 How to set the detail
Pressing and holding on the !to!turn!on!the!camera and enter into the Setting Menu. When the LCDs
show main screen,

Pressing the to enter into the Basic Menu. It contains 8 setting items, where you also can enter to
the advanced menu (Setting Mode). Below is the overview image for your reference.

BASIC MENU
1.Camera name
Pressing !to!select the “Name” setting menu. Pressing !to! enter configuration page . Pressing !to!
choose ON, press !to!choose wanted character, pressing to confirm and move the cursor from
left to the end. After reaching the end, pressing the !!to save the name and exit item name setting.
2.Camera mode
Pressing !to!select the “Photo Mode” setting menu, press !to!set it take pictures mode and it
indicated by the presence OK in the top right corner.
3.Video mode
Pressing !to!select the “Video Mode” setting menu. Pressing !to set it take video mode and it
indicated by the presence OK in the top right corner.
4.Photo+Video mode
Pressing !to!select the “Video Mode” setting menu. Pressing to set it take photo+video mode,
and it indicated by the presence OK in the bottom right corner.

Pressing !to!select the “Setting Mode” setting menu. Pressing the to enter into the advanced
menu (detail setting menu). Please check the “advanced mean” chapter to get more details.
6.Delete
Pressing !to!select the “Erase Mode” setting menu. Pressing !to! enter configuration page . Pressing
!to!choose delete one, all or format the SD card, pressing to confirm.
7.Software
Pressing !to!select the “Software” setting menu. Pressing the to enter into this parameter and it
will show the information about firmware of this camera on the display.
7.EXIT
Pressing !to!select the “EXIT” menu. Pressing the to exit the basic menu and return to the main
screen.
Advanced menu
Entry to the advanced menu (Setting Mode), pressing the to scroll and the to select the
parameter you want to set.
1.Photo setting
To contain the photo resolution and the series photos. Pressing the to scroll and the to select
the parameter you want to set.

2.Video setting
Pressing the to scroll and the to select the parameter you want to set.
The FPT settings is recommended to be 30FPS, which will make the video smooth. And the refresh rate
is recommended to choose 50HZ.
3.Fixed time(TIMER)
Pressing enter to the fixed time menu and select whether you want turn on or off the fixed time
function. Confirmed by pressing . Turn it on, select Start turn-on time and off time End. Time value
change button . Move the cursor one step forward button . The time will be set and quit after the
last clock face with minutes and press .

4.Time interval (Time Lapse)
Pressing enter to the time interval menu and select whether you want turn on or off the time interval
function. Confirmed by pressing . Turn it on, pressing button to choose period time lapse shooting.
Move the cursor one step forward button . The time will be set and quit after the last clock face with

5. TWO YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

Our products are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two years from
the date of original purchase. If a defect exists, we will, at our option and to extent permitted by law will
(1) repair the product at no charge using new or refurbished parts; (2) exchange the product with a
functionally equivalent product that is new or refurbished. Provided the product is returned by paid
freight.
This warranty excludes damage resulting from abuse, accident, modifications or other causes that are
not defects in materials and workmanship, or by someone other than our authorized technicians. This
warranty only covers failures due to defects in materials or workmanship under normal usage.
