2. Press the SET TEMPERATURE button to increase or decrease the readings u ntil t he ne eded te m peraure is
d is played. Th er oom set temp era ture range is from 16 ' C-32 ' C(6 1' F-90 'F ).
(It wo u ld be automatically set at 25 'C (76' F) an d unadjustable in AUTO and DYR mode.)
3. Press the FAN SP EED button to choose the air rate you want: Low( display indica t es" '" " ),Med(disp la y ind icates

e TIMER OPERAT/ON
Set turning off time
Se t the tim e for t he unit to turn offa nd wh en it is tim e, t he air conditioner will a utomat ically stop opera t ing.
1. During t he ope ra tion of the air con d itioner, press the TIMER b utton and the air conditio n er will en t er t he t imed
sw i tch-off mode.
2. Continuely pr ess the TIMER button to set the needed time for switching off the machine. The timer can make
the setting in the range fr om 1- 24 h ours.Every the button is pressed,indicat ion change is the fo ll o wing sequence:
1- 2 - ........ - 24 - cancel (no indication)- 1.
3. After the setting of the timed sw it ch-off , the digits shown on the display screen w~l go down by 1 fo r every elapsed
hour. The displayed di git s in dicate the r emaining time prior to the timed switch - off.
Set turning on time

• During the operation of cooling,the r oom temperature will be raised gradually by 2" C(4'Fl hi gher t ha nt he sett i ng
after the machine begins to operate in the slee pin g mode.
• Dur i ng the operation of heating m ode ,t he room tempe ra ture w ill be dropped gradua ll y 5'C (9'F) Iower th an the
set ti ng afte r th e mac h in e beg in s to o pe ra te in t he sl eeping mode.
e REPLACEMENT OF BATTERIES
• When the si gna l from the remote cont ro ller becomes wea k and the
i ndoor uni tc an n ot receive it properly;or the indicat i ons on the disp l ay
sc reen becomes blurred,please sl id et he back cover and replace wi th
two new batteries.
• The pos iti ve and negati ve poles m us tmat ch t he i nstallat ion pos iti ons .
• New b atter ie sof the same type have to be u sed f or repl acement.
• Ift he remote controller is not to be used fo r l on gt ime, take ou t the
batteries so as to prevent the l eakage of the electrolyte from damaging
the co n troller.
• Ifw hen the remote controller is at abnorma l sta te, you can take out
the b atteries on the back cover to clear off the di splay .

Press ECONO butt on duri ng " COOL" operation, the setted - tempe rature can raise 2' C(4'F),while in "HEAr'ope rat i on,the
setted · temp erature can decrease 2' C(4 ' F), a nd t he air ra te can be set in " LO W". Press the ECONO butto n aga in can
re lease the ECONO operat i on .
NOTE: In DR Y mo de ,theunit will automat i cally run as f ollowing operat i on state:25 'C (76'F )se t t empe ratur e, fixed
win d ai r flow ,l ow speed air ra t e. HI POW ER a nd ECONO operations do not work on th is mo de .
e PRESENT TIME SETTING PROCEDURE
1. Wh en cells are inse rt ed ,push the CLK b utt on wi th the tip of a ball pen,etc.The time in dica tor is flicke rin g a nd
can set the prese nt time.
2. Pre ss th e HOUR bu tton to set you des i red t ime.
3. Press th eM IN butto n to se t yo u des i red ti me.
4. Press t he CLK butto n again and t he prese nt tim e is con f irme d.
If when t he remote controller is at a bno rmal st ate, you can press t he RST bu tton to clea r off the display.
e TIMER OPERATION
Set turning off time

Use thi s mod e to reduce operation sound when sl eeping,etc .
Press the S LEE P button , the air fl ow sound from the i ndoor unit is decreased and the l ight of di splay screen wi ll be
closeed . Press the SLEEP b utton again can r elease the mode.
NOTE:
• Use the sleep mode when you are going to bed. lf this mode is used in the day , the capacity is reduced since the
ambie nt tempe rature is t oo hi gh.(COOL MODE).
• During the oper at i on of cooling , the room temperature will be raised gradually by 2' C(4 'F) higher than the setti ng
after the m achin e beg ins to ope ra te in the sle epin g mo de .
• Dur i ng the operation of h ea t ing m ode,the room t emRerature wi ll be dropped gra d ually 5' C(9 ' F) l ower t han the
setting after the mach ine begins to operate in the sleeping mod e.
e REPLACEMENT OF BATTERIES
• Wh en t he sig na l f rom the remote cont r oller bec o me s weak and the
in door u nit can not receive it properly ;or the ind ica t ions on the display
screen becomes blurred,ple a se sl ide the back cover and rep la ce with
two new batter ies .
• The positive and negative poles must match the i ns t allation positions.
• New batte ries of the sam e ty pe ha ve to be used fo r repla ce ment.
• If the remote cont r oller is not tobe used f or l ong ti me , take out the
batteries so as to pr event t he le aka ge of the electrolyte fr om damaging
the controller .
e Basic principles and performances
0 T he machines absorb heat from the outdoor air and transfer it indoors so as to heat the roo mair. The heating
c apabil ities through this principle of heat pump go up/ do wn with the increase/decrease of the temperatures of
the outdoor air.
0 It only n eeds a fairly short t im e for such hot air ci rculat i on system to ra ise the room temperature.
0 Wh en the ou tdoor air te m perature is very low, the system ca n be used toge t her wi th other h eat ing devices.
Bu t good venti l at i on should be mainta in ed to ensure safety and pr event accidents .
e Defrosting
When t he outdoor air temperature is very low and h umidity is very high, frosting will occur to the heat exchanger of
the outdoo r unit, wh ich has ne gat i ve impacts upon the efficiency of the heating perfo r mance . In such case , the
automa t ic defros ting function will come i nto play. The heating operation will be stopped for 5-10 minutes to do the
defrost i ng .
0 The fans of both the out d oor a nd indoor un i ts are stopped.

e OPERATION TIPS
1.Set a suitable room temperature;excessively low room
temperature is not good for your health and wastes
electricity. Avoid frequent setting of the temperature.
2.During cooling,avoid direct sun.Keep curtains and blinds
closed, Close doors and windows to keep the cool
air in
the room.
3.Avoid generating heat
or using of heating appliances
while the
air conditioner in cooling mode.
4.Make sure that the
air flap is positioned properly :
horizontal flow in cooling and downward vertical flow for
heating.
5.Keep the room temperature uniform by adjusting the
l ef t/ right vertical air blades.
6.Position the air flap and the left/right air blades in such
a manner as to prevent your body from being exposed
directly to air drafts.
7.During prolonged operation,ventilate the room
occasionally by opening a window from time to time.
8. In a power failure,the microprocessor memory is retained
.When restarted, operation will be resumed
in the last
mode of operation. However, if the timer was used,the
unit will be turned
off by the timer on ly if the remote
control is aimed at the unit.Otherwise the power failure
will cause the timer data to
be erased from the
microprocessor memory.

After turning on,allow more than 3 minutes for cooling,
heating or dry operation to start
10.When DRY mode is used,make sure that the room
temperature is between 20.C/68.Fand
2TC / 81 ·F.When
used out of this range, the unit may protect itself and
become inoperative.
11.When COOL or DRY modes are used,make sure
that

used for a prolonged periods of time
in high humidity,moisture
may form on the
air outlet and drip down.
12.Remote control signals may not be received
if the indoor
unit controls cover is exposed to direct sunlight or strong
light.ln such a case,block the sunlight or dim the lighting.
13.The remote control is operative in a range of 8 meters
(26FT).If you are out of range,the remote control may
have difficulties
in transmitting signals .

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Before performing any maintenance procedure,make sure
to disconnect the
air conditioner from the power.
e CLEANING THE AIR FILTER
To remove the air filters,lift up the panel,push the air filters
up slightly to unlock them.pull out the filters,Ciean the fi lt er
by washing in warm soapy water and dry thoroughly,align
and fit the filters in place,close the panel by pushing it in the
center to lock it in place.
DO NOT OPERATE THE UNIT WITHOUT FILTERS !
e CLEANING THE AIR CONDITIONER
1.Wipe the unit with a soft dry cloth or clean it using a
vacuum cleaner .
2.Do not use hot
water or volatile materials wh ich could
damage the surface of the air conditioner.
e AT THE BEGINNING OF THE SEASON
1.Make sure there are no obstacles blocking the flow of
inlet or outlet air,in both indoor and outdoor units.
2.Make sure the power is properly connected.
e PROTECT THE ELECTRONIC SYSTEM
1.1ndoor unit and remote control must be at l east 1 meter
away from a TV,radio or any other home electronic appliance.
2.Protect the inner unit from direct sun or lighting.

EXCEPTION FOR MUL Tl SPLIT TYPE
The same outdoor unit , it may happen that the requested
operation mode can not be operated .
The reason for that is that the system is currently operating
in a different mode.
The system operation mode can be either cooling or heating
and is set by the outdoor unit controls , based on indoor and
outdoor . unit settings.
The rules for the mode settings may be different from one
application to another .
In most applications the system operation mode will not be
changed as long as there is an operating indoor unit
requesting the active mode . The operation mode in such
application will be set by the first indoor unit that is turned
ON from Stand By .
