500S™ SATELLITE GS AUTHORIZATION CODES
REQUIRED 500S™ FIRMWARE
The 500S™ GNSS receiver must have firmware version 5.9Aa06 or higher in order to use Satellite GS or GS-Lite. This
firmware version is included with CRx software 2.2 and above. Note that the CRx software update does not automatically
install the 500S™ firmware. Refer to How to Update Hardware with CRx Devices for instructions on this process.
GS VS. GS-LITE
Both Satellite GS and GS-Lite will require you to enter a 10-digit code into the 500S™ receiver. However, Satellite GS is a
subscription only and GS-Lite is a one-time unlock.
THE PROCESS
GATHER THE SERIAL NUMBER FOR THE 500S™
When ordering GS corrections for the 500S™, the receiver serial number is the only required piece of information. The
serial number for the 500S™ is located on the sticker on the bottom of the receiver. There will be 2 Raven product
stickers on the receiver: one is for the Raven serial number and the other is for the hardware serial number. You will need
the ESN (Electronic Serial Number) on the hardware serial number sticker.
You may also find the 500S™ serial number using the screens for the CR7™ field computer and the SC1™ steering system.

ORDERING UNLOCKS
Go to the Raven Customer Portal to order Satellite GS and GS-Lite unlocks for the 500S™. You must be registered before
you can make purchases on the portal. Request an account by using the Register link at the top of the page. When
ordering an unlock, the “ESN” will be the serial number you gathered in the previous steps.
NOTE ON SERIAL NUMBERS
If the serial number for your 500S™ is 19423186 or lower, you will receive a 56-digit code in addition to the standard 10-
digit code. The 56-digit code is a one-time-use code that will enable your 500S™ to use 10-digit codes in the future.
Should you ever need to order another Satellite GS subscription in the future, you will not need to enter another 56-digit
code.
ENTERING AUTHORIZATION CODES
You can enter 500S™ authorization codes using either a CR7™ or an SC1™.
NOTE ON CODE STRUCTURE
Authorization codes for the 500S™ must be entered exactly as they appear. They may contain any combination of upper
and lower-case letters, numbers, and special characters. It is very important that you enter these codes correctly.

need to enter the 10-digit code. Remember to enter these codes exactly as they appear (case sensitive).
The SC1™ will automatically detect if the 500S™ needs a 56-digit code. You will see the screen above when you need to
enter a 56-digit code, and you will see the screen below when you need to enter a 10-digit code.
After the 10-digit code is entered, the 500S™ will immediately be capable of receiving GS corrections.
For Satellite GS, capability remains until the subscription period expires. New subscriptions will require entering a new 10-
