CLEANING
POLISHING
Dirt can be removed by using the green
cleaning pads. Fit by firstly removing plug
from power supply, and then attaching the
pads over the polishing brushes and pressing
on the centre press studs. For maintaining a
floor we recommend using a spray
maintainer. Spray a mist of the floor
maintainer onto one square metre of floor
at a time and using a side to side motion
spread the floor maintainer with the Floor
Master. The dirt will be picked up into the
green cleaning pads. The pads can be used
on both sides and washed in warm soapy
water after use. At the same time as
cleaning a thin coating of polish will be
deposited.
PLEASE NOTE: Please make sure that the
pads are clean before use as dirty pads may
result in the appliance labouring or
bouncing. New (stiff) or dirty pads may
become detached during use.
REMOVE PLUG FROM POWER
SUPPLY BEFORE CHANGING ANY
PADS, BRUSHES OR REMOVING
THE DUST BAG.

REPLACING THE PAPER BAG
Slide off the dust bag clip and open the
textile dust bag. Insert the paper bag and
slide its opening over connector in dust bag.
Please use original Fakir/Nilco paper bags
only.
Pull the left spring loaded knob on the
blower opening and slide on the dustbag
connecting flange. Release knob to clamp
in place. Then pull the right spring loaded
knob and slide on the rest of the dustbag
connecting flange. Release knob to clamp
in place. Attach spring to snap hook
on handle.
CLOSING THE DUST BAG

dust bag. Make sure that it holds the paper
bag rim as well.
USING THE FLOORMASTER
The Floor Master is supplied with green
cleaning pads, polishing brushes and felt
buffing pads. These are all suitable for
cleaning, polishing and maintaining a floor.
Further accessories may be required for
untreated or unsealed floors and it is
recommended that expert advice is taken.
WARNING
Use the polishing brushes to bring up a
shine to your floor. Use after cleaning your
floor with the cleaning pads or after new
polish or floor maintainer has been applied.
HIGH GLOSS POLISHING
For a high gloss polish use the felt buffing
pads on polish or floor maintainer that has
been allowed to dry. This process can be
done after polishing with the polishing
brushes or independently if floor surface is
clean and maintained regularly. Fit by firstly
removing plug from power supply, and then
attaching the pads over the polishing brushes
and pressing on the centre press studs. The
pads can be used on both sides and washed
in warm soapy water after use.
CHANGING THE BRUSHES
To remove the brushes, firstly remove the
plug from power supply, and then simply
pull the brush evenly with a jolting motion.
To replace brushes evenly press on brush
housing plate.

SANDING
HARD FIBRE BRUSHES
These light coloured hard fibre brushes are
used for wet scrubbing neglected floors and
applying polish into un-sealed floors
(waxing). After use they should be washed
out with warm soapy water.
The sanding discs are used to remove old
wax and polish build up from wooden
floors. The sanding disc set includes a drive
disc and three grades of sanding disc. The
drive discs are used to hold the sanding
discs in place, they are fitted in the same
way as the brushes and only need to be
purchased once. Thereafter only the
relevant sanding discs need to be ordered.
You must ensure that the wood is re-sealed
(waxed) before applying any polish or floor
maintainer.
OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES
Please Note: If scrubbing with the Floor
Master 3 model then a blanking plate is also
required to blank off the blower opening.
This is to avoid water being sucked up into
the appliance. The dustbag should also be
removed.
