Seaalkng®utilizesasinglebackbonewhichcompatibleequipmentconnectstousingaspur.Data
andpowerarecarriedwithinthebackbone.Devicesthathavealowdrawcanbepoweredfromthe
network,althoughhighcurrentequipmentwillneedtohaveaseparatepowerconnection.
Seaalkng®isaproprietaryextensiontoNMEA2000andtheprovenCANbustechnology.
CompatibleNMEA2000andSeaalkandSeaalk2devicescanalsobeconnectedusingthe
appropriateinterfacesoradaptorcablesasrequired.

MDSisaRaymarineschemeformanagingmultiplesourcesofidenticaldatatypesonthesame

•Rudderangledata—Wheretherearemultiplesourcesofrudderreferenceinformation,the
Evolutionsystemcomponentswillignorerudderangleinputsfromanyrudderreferenceunits
thatareNOconnecteddirectlytotheACU.
