Disc storage
9Be careful not to harm the disc because the data on these discs is highly
vulnerable.

COPY PROTECTION
Many DVD discs are encoded with copy protection. Because of this, you
should only connect your DVD player directly to your TV, not to a VCR (Video
Cassette Recorder). Connecting to a VCR can result in a distorted picture from
copy -protected DVD discs.
This product incorporates copyright protection technology that is protected by
methods claims of certain U.S. patents and other intellectual property rights owned
by Macrovision Corporation and other rights owners. Use of this copyright
protection technology must be authorized by Macrovision Corporation, and is
intended for home and other limited viewing uses only, unless otherwise authorized
by Macrovision Corporation. Reverse engineering or disassembly is prohibited.
Regional coding
Both the DVD player and disc are coded by region. These regional codes
must match in order for the disc to play. If the codes do not match, the disc will
not play.
Other regional codes cannot be played in this unit. The unit will display
“WRONG REGION.”

overhead DVD player, please read this manual thoroughly and retain it for

Main function descriptions
1. Front IR screen
Transmits audio to wireless headphones and receives remote control signal from the
remote control.
2. POWER button
Turns ROV-1000 (CHAMELEON) on or off
Button backlight is red color
3. PLAY/PAUSE button
Press this button to activate the play mode while a disc is loaded into the disc
compartment.
Press the button again to allow the user to pause the playback

Allows the user to advances to the next chapter, track or scene during playback.
Press the button to allow NEXT and Press the button longer to work fast forward.

Remote control operation
Battery installation
Before attempting to operate your remote control, install the battery as
described below.
1) Turn the remote control face down. Using a clip and/or fingertip, pull
down the battery cover open.
2) Install one “CR2025” battery as shown. Make sure that proper polarity
(+ or -) is observed.
3) Align the cover tabs with the remote control and press down until the
cover clicks.
If remote doesn’t operate properly
1) Check the polarity +/- of the battery (Coin-Cell).
2) Check if the battery are drained.
3) Check if remote sensor is blocked by obstacles.
4) Check if there is any fluorescent lighting nearby.
Using the remote control
1) Point the remote control at the remote sensor located on the unit.
2) When there is bright ambient light near the unit, the performance of
the infrared remote sensor may be degraded, causing unreliable
operation.
3) The recommended effective distance for remote operation is about
7 meter.
Battery replacement
When battery become weak the operating distance of the remote
control is greatly reduced and you will need to replace the battery.

Notes
1) If the remote control is not going to be used for a long time (more than several
weeks), remove the battery.
2) Do not mix ALKALINE, standard ( CARBON-ZINC) or rechargeable (NICKEL-
CADMIUM) battery.

Use to IR audio transmitter frequency select.
9) FM
Use to FM transmitter frequency select.
10) GOTO
Use to go to specific time or chapter and playing.
11) A - B
Repeats the selected segment.
12) NUMBER (1,2,3...9,0)
Use from the menu to select, title/chapter search, time search
and direct track number.

Use to TV channel scanning, the TV will stop on active channel.

Use when discarding wrong number input or returning to normal play during slow or search.
Use to delete TV preset channel from memory (Erase).
15) REPEAT/ADD
Repeats part all of a chapter, title, track or an entire disc.
Use to add TV preset channel to memory (Store).

Use to move to the previous chapter or track.
Use to flip down through the TV channels.

Use to display the contents menu of the loader disc.

Selects menu items and begins disc play.

Use the display the title menu of the loaded DVD disc.
Use to select a particular scene or information of a VCD disc from the menu screen.

Backwards through the DVD disc from 2X to 64X faster. Forwards through the disc from 2X to
8X faster.
23) F.SLOW ( )▶▶
Forwards through the DVD disc from 2X to 64X faster. Forwards through the disc from 2X to
8X faster.
24) DISPLAY
Shown the information about title, chapter and time.
25) MUTE
Use to mute the audio. Pressing button again restores sound the previously set level.
26) STOP (■)
Stops disc play. When playing a VCD (PBC ON), the previous scene will appear.
