GUIDELINES
1. LOCATION – Make certain that the CATV jack is near
enough to the wall bracket so the “RF IN” cable can
be connected to it. Also position the wall bracket near
an AC wall outlet at a mounting height of 47±2 inches.
See Figure 1.
2. WALL STRENGTH – These wall bracket mounting
instructions installation directly into concrete walls.
IN ALL CASES the wall construction must be able
to support a minimum loading of 350 PSI applied
perpendicular to the mounting hole locations by
compression or tension. Some wall construction may
require internal bracing to accept the minimum loading
required.
3. HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS – Mounting fasteners
are NOT supplied with the wall bracket.
4. TOTAL MAXIMUM WEIGHT of the TV receiver and
support arm system cannot exceed 41 lbs.
1. All threaded rods, bolts or machine screws
will be ¼”-20UNC-2A thread or equivalent.
2. All threaded rods will be nished off with an
acorn nut

Direct Wall Mounting
Direct Wall Mounting
It is the responsibility of the architect and/or structural engineer in charge of the project to
ensure the strength of the wall where the TV arm and mounting bracket will be installed.
It is the responsibility of the architect and/or structural engineer in charge of the project to
ensure the correct hardware is used to attach the wall mount to the wall.
SOLID CONSTRUCTION WALLS
1. Locate a mounting position near an antenna CATV jack and AC Wall outlet. Mounting height should be
47” from the oor to top of pivot hole as shown in gure 1. It is also important that the mounting location
be within 15” of the side of the patient’s bed. Please note also that the suspension arm requires a min-
imum clearance distance of 30” from ceiling to the top of the wall bracket. A check with the contractor/
architect or Facility Engineering Department regarding hidden objects behind the wall should be made
before proceeding with this installation and nal operation of the arm assembly.
2. Level the wall mount pivot hole and mark the location of the mounting holes.
3. Follow the instructions supplied with the cement expansion anchors and ensure the anchors are
installed properly on the marks. Attach wall mount to cement expansion anchors following instructions
supplied with the anchors.
In concrete, brick, and some types of cement block, cement expansion anchors can be used.
Follow the instructions supplied with the cement expansion anchors to ensure proper
installation.

7. Do not block any ventilation openings. Install
in accordance with the manufacturer’s
instructions.
8. Do not install near any heat sources such
as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other
apparatus (including ampliers) that produce
heat.
9. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the
polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized
plug has two blades with one wider than the
other. A grounding type plug has two blades
and a third grounding prong. The wide blade
or the third prong is provided for your safety.
If the provided plug does not t into your
outlet, consult an electrician for replacement
of the obsolete outlet.
10. Protect the power cord from being walked on
or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience
receptacles, and the point where they exit
from the apparatus.
11. Only use attachments/accessories specied
by the manufacturer.
12. Use only with the cart, stand, tripod,
bracket, or table specied by the
manufacturer, or sold with the
apparatus. When a cart is used,
use caution when moving the cart/apparatus
combination to avoid injury from tip-over.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read before operating equipment
13. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or
when unused for long periods of time.
14. Refer all servicing to qualied service personnel.
Servicing is required when the apparatus has
been damaged in any way, such as power-
supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been
spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus,
the apparatus has been exposed to rain or
moisture, does not operate normally, or has
been dropped.
15. If an outside antenna or cable system is
connected to the product, be sure the antenna
or cable system is grounded so as to provide
some protection against voltage surges and
built-up static charges. Section 810 of the
National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA No. 70-
1984 (Section 54 of Canadian Electrical Code,
Part 1) provides information with respect to
proper grounding of the mast and supporting
structure, grounding of the lead-in wire to an
antenna-discharge unit, size of grounding
conductors, location of antenna-discharge
unit, connection to grounding electrodes, and
requirements for the grounding electrode. See
following example.
