The Rē User Interface Components
You access the various functions of the Rē by touching the icons on the Tab Bar.
Activities –“Watching TV” or “Watching a DVD Movie” are examples of Activities. You tap the
Activities tab to display the Activity Remotes that you have set up.
Devices –The IR controlled equipment within a Room, such as a TV or DVD player. You tell the
Rē the brand and type of each Device in a given Room, and the App guides you in setting up a
Device Remote for each Device in the Room.
You display the Device Remotes for the selected Room by tapping the Devices tab.
Discrete Codes –These are special IR codes that allow functions like “power on” and “power
off” instead of “toggle power on/off” or one button input source selection instead of a source
menu. These codes allow easy setup of Macros. The manual section on Macros has more
information about how these codes work.
Favorites –Favorites Lists provide instant selection of a specific channel of programming for TV
or Radio Stations. You can have any number of Favorites Lists associated with each activity.
You might have a TV channel list for sports, one for movie channels, and one for news. The
Favorites Tab displays the Favorites Lists for the current Activity.
Information Views –Help text screens are displayed throughout the Rē interface. Tap on the
(i) to display information about setting up or editing the functionality of your remote. Tap on the
(i) in Rooms for information on how to get started with your Rē.
IR Code Database –The Rē Accessory provides the IR Codes for each key on most popular AV
device remote controls. The database also contains many IR Codes called Discrete Codes for
your devices that typically are not included in the original remote controls.
Learning - Learning allows a universal remote to copy IR codes from the original remote. The
Rē can learn buttons or full remotes as an extension to the IR Code Database.
Macros –Macros are simple sequences of button presses that you can set up to automate
functions in a universal remote. Traditionally, you use macros to switch power on and off to
multiple devices, and to automatically switch inputs and outputs for video and sound. The Rē
supports those macros and any other button sequence you wish to program.
Rooms –Rooms define where you are using the Rē. Rooms can be different rooms in your
house, the office, or anywhere you want to control devices. The Rooms tab selects the Room you
are in and want to use. Use Rooms to set up the Devices, Activities and Favorites within a
Room.
Settings - Use the Settings Tab to control global functions of the Rē and view information about
the Accessory and Application.

Device Brand Support
The Rē Accessory contains a built-in database of IR codes that support most popular devices.
See http://www.newkinetix.com/preprogrammed-devices/ for the current list of supported
Brands and types.
If the brand name of your device isn’t listed, check to see if there is an alternate manufacturer
for your device. If you cannot find an alternate name, select “-UNLISTED-“for your device brand
and use the automated search to search for a code that works for your device.
Use the Test Remote button to test more buttons on your new TV remote. Some devices work
with more than one code, so this temporary remote display allows you to try more codes and
see the button differences. You can edit the button layout later.
Note: If you have returned to test additional IR codes while editing a device previously
setup, you can try other codes without risk of losing your original setup. Just return to the
original IR code by pressing (cancel).
See The Learning Function to learn the buttons from your old remote if you cannot find a
working code.

View and Edit a Device Setup
You can view and edit a device you have previously setup by returning to the Devices list in your
Room. Follow these steps to view or edit a Device Setup:
1. Select the Room you are in and Tap the (>) to display the Room contents.
2. Tap the (>) on Devices to display your Devices List.
3. Tap the (>) on any device to display its settings.
4. Tap the Name row to change the device name.
You may edit the device settings by selecting Brand, Type or IR Code.
CAUTION! Any change you make to these device settings will erase the previously created
Device Remote and all customization.
Inter-Key Delay
Some devices cannot respond quickly enough to a series of IR codes sent by the Rē to change
channels. This setting is rarely used, but may be required for some devices to allow Favorites’
Channels to work properly. If your device does not change channels correctly in Favorites,
adjust the Inter-Key Delay to slow the transmission rate to the device. A setting of 100ms to
200ms is usually sufficient. This setting also applies to commands sent to this device in a Macro.
Changing this setting does not affect any previous customization of the Device Remote.
Tip: Complete and confirm your Devices setup prior to setting up Activities.
Device Remote
As you view and test the buttons on each Device Remote, you will notice that there are buttons
that don’t appear on your original remote. This occurs for two primary reasons:
Device IR Codes support multiple model numbers, and the remote functons vary from model
to model. So there may be some buttons on the Rē device remote that control functions in
your device that are not on the original remote. Similarly, there will likely be buttons on the
Rē that do not work on your device.
Universal Remotes make use of discrete codes that provide functions like Pwr On and Pwr
Off in addition to On/Off as shown on the top screen. Discrete input or output switching may
also be provided as shown in the bottom screen. These discrete codes allow easier macro
setup. You may also find that there is a button on your old remote that isn’t on the Rē Device
Remote. You can add that button with the learn function.
Customize your Device Remote
After creating Device Remotes, you may want make modifications. The most important use of a
Device Remote is to provide the button functions you need to create Activities. You will rarely

Page | 7
use the Device Remotes for direct control so the button layout may be less important, but it is
fully customizable. Tap (Edit) on the Device Remote Screen to begin customization.
Modify Button Characteristics
You can modify the button image, label name, and title (text displayed on a blank button) to
customize your remote. You can also choose to turn the label display on or off for each button.
Tap (Edit) to enter edit mode. Double tap the button you wish to modify, a select Modify Button.
Change Button Label
Select Name and type the label you want to appear beneath the button.
Change Button Image
Select Image and choose a button image from the list. Choose a blank button image if you want
to add a custom text Title to the button. Scroll through the images to select one appropriate for
the button function. Button images are organized within groups of function types: Audio, Blank,
Channel, Colors, Control, IO, Menu, PIP, Power and Transport. The alphabet selector helps you
find button images quickly.
Change Button Title
Select Title and enter the letters, numbers, or symbols you want on the button. You can select
the title color as well.
Label display ON/OFF
Select whether you want to display the button label on the remote.

Follow these steps to add a button:
1. Tap (Edit) to enter edit mode. Double tap an empty space where you want to add a new
button to display the edit selection action sheet.
2. Tap Add Button to enter a label name for your new button.

Page | 8
3. Press (Next) to continue defining the button you created.
4. Tap the Image to display the full list of possible button images. Scroll through the images to
select one appropriate for the button function. Button images are organized within groups of
function types: Audio, Blank, Channel, Colors, Control, IO, Menu, PIP, Power and Transport.
The alphabet selector helps you find button images quickly.
5. Tap Title to add a title to a Blank button image.
6. Select Label ON/OFF to choose the label display status on the remote.
7. Press (Done) to copy the image and return to the button definition choices screen.
Customize the Button Layout
You can customize the positions of the buttons on your remote screen by moving buttons to
different locations. You can also add blank rows.
Follow these steps to move a button:
1. Be sure the remote is in edit mode. You can tell it’s in edit mode by the dimmed display and
the (Done) button in the upper right. The Tab Bar is disabled during edit operations.
2. Tap and hold the button, then slide it to its new location. If you slide a button to another
occupied button location, the buttons will be swapped.
Delete an empty row by double tapping the row and selecting Delete Row in the Alert.
You can tap any location on a row and add an additional row. For a more balanced appearance
for rows of fewer than four buttons, you can set the button on half-grid locations.
Tip: To view remotes as full screen, double tap on any space or between buttons on a
Device or Activity Remote. Double tap again, or use the shake gesture to return to the
normal display view.
Customize the Background Color for each Remote
You can change the color of the skin or background of each remote. Select a background image
in settings to personalize the background of all of the screens in the Rē app. In addition, you can
change the color of each remote to allow easy differentiation between remotes during use.
Follow these steps to change the skin color of a remote:
1. Tap (Edit) to enter edit mode, then double tap a blank area on the remote face to access the
edit selections.
2. Tap (Change Skin) to bring up the color adjustment tool. Tap anywhere on the color grid to
select a color, or enter RGB values with the sliders or by tapping the value box and entering a

Page | 9
number. Use the Transparency setting to adjust how much of the background you want
visible through the skin color.
Button Folders
Button folders are a space saving user interface feature in Device and Activity Remotes. Use
folders to collect groups of buttons into a single folder icon to save display space. For example,
create a folder that holds your 10 numbered channel buttons so you can display them only when
you need to use them. You can create as many folders as you want in any remote. It is easy to
use folders to eliminate the need to scroll vertically on the remote. Also, Open folders always
display at the top of the remote view, so the button locations are easily remembered.
Add and Populate Folders
Add a folder by entering Edit mode for the remote.
1. Select the remote and tap Edit.
2. Double tap an empty space in the display where you want to locate the folder.
3. Select add folder and enter a folder name.
4. Select a folder icon color, add a title and set the label display status, then press done and
return to the remote view.
Populate the folder as follows.
1. Drag buttons into the folder by holding a button and sliding it over the folder icon. This
moves the button from the main remote display to the folder.
2. Alternatively, you can copy a button from the remote and paste it into the folder. This
creates a copy of the button in the folder and leaves the button in the main remote for
use there as well.
a. Double tap the button and select Copy Button.
b. Double tap the folder and select Paste Button.
Editing Folder Contents
Editing folders is the same as editing the main remote view. To edit a folder open the folder in
the remote view and tap Edit. The edit operations are now available for the Folder contents.
1. Hold and drag buttons to change their display position.
2. Double tap a button to edit the button. Selections are:
a. Learn Buttons (Device Remote only)
b. Modify Button to change its Label and Icon or Macro for an Activity button
c. Delete Button
d. Copy Button
e. Paste Button (overwrites the selected button)
f. Add Row
g. Delete Row
3. Double tap an empty space to add or delete a button or row, or change the skin for the
open folder display.

Page | 10
Unloading or Deleting Folders
Folders can be deleted from the display just like buttons. Deleting a folder that contains buttons
will also delete the buttons.
Select Unload Folder to unload the buttons in a folder to put them back onto the main remote
view. This is useful for removing a folder you have setup. Loading and unloading folders is a
handy way to relocate groups of buttons on the main remote display. Also, since you can copy a
folder from a Device Remote to an Activity Remote, you can use a folder to copy groups of
buttons to an Activity. The buttons will work in the Activity in the folder, or you can unload the
folder if you want the buttons in the main Activity Remote display.
The screen images below show the use of Folders to organize a Watch TV Activity Remote.
Tapping a folder opens it. Tap another folder to replace the one being displayed. Close a folder
by tapping the folder icon of the open folder or tapping the folder icon in the upper left of the
Activity remote display.

The Learning Function
The learning function copies the IR signal from your old remote into a button on the Rē. You use
Learn to add the IR signal to a button on the Rē remote for your device that was not included in
the database.
If you need to add a new remote, create a device remote of a similar type to act as a template.
If you are learning a full remote, select any brand, or choose -UNLISTED-, and select the type
that has the general button functions you need. You can then learn your device buttons over of
the buttons provided, or learn new buttons you create. You can obtain the full button layout for
any device type by unplugging the Rē accessory when you set up the device remote.
Use the Device Remote editing features to add, delete and move buttons to design the remote
layout to your preferences. You may wish to mimic the button layout on the original remote to
help organize learning.
Tap “Learn Buttons” in the edit dialog to display the Learn screen. The screen will invert to allow
you to position the Rē as shown below for easy learning. Remote alignment is important for
effective learning. The IR diodes need to line up properly, and it is important to note any angle
between the diodes. The Rē diode is tilted downward by about 40 degrees, so hold the remotes
approximately as shown below: NOTE: The angle of the LED allows for comfortable positioning
and better iPhone screen visibility during use of the remote.
Rē
40˚
Original
Remote
~ 1- inch separation

Page | 12
Learning is generally quick and easy if you strictly follow the following procedure.
The Rē LED and the transmitting LED must be separated by no more than 2 to 5 cm for the Rē
to properly receive the IR signal.
The Rē LED and the transmitting LED must be directly facing each other. This is critical due to
the close spacing. Maintain the angle between remotes shown above. A 1 cm alignment error
can cause learn to fail or capture the code incorrectly.
The learn process:
1. Tap the Devices tab
2. Tap the Edit button
3. Double tap a button (or an empty space)
4. Tap the Learn Buttons option (screen image inverts to enable the buttons on the Rē and
original remote to be viewed easily)
5. Tap the button to be learned on the Rē (button will wiggle)
6. Tap Learn Button on the Rē (bottom of screen)
7. Align the Rē and the original remote (see diagram above)
8. Press and hold the button to be learned on the original remote
9. The Learn Complete dialog will pop up almost instantly on a “good” learn.
10. Optionally, point the Rē at the target device and press Test Button to verify that learning
was successful. You can skip this after you have confirmed the alignment is working.
11. Repeat steps 5 through 9 for each button to be learned.
Sometimes the learned code may not work even though the Learn function completes without an
error. If this happens, be sure to verify the alignment of the IR diodes and try again. Adjust the
positions to find the best alignment for the remote you are learning.
It may take some experimentation to find the transmitting LED’s actual location if it is behind a
plastic shield. The best way to do this is to try a few alignments to learn a button until the Learn
Complete dialog appears and the Test Button works.
Once alignment and spacing is correct, learning should progress quickly.
If the Learn Complete dialog doesn’t pop up within 2 seconds after pressing the button to be
learned on the original remote, check alignment and relearn the button.

The Activity Remote
Activities provide your primary
interface for using and
customizing your Rē Universal
Remote.
Setting up an Activity for each
type of entertainment allows you
to turn on the right devices, set
the correct inputs and have the
perfect controls at your finger
tips.
For complete instructions on how
to create an activity, see the
Quick Start Guide or follow the
instruction on the Rē.
The three screens to the right
show the Watch TV Activity
Remote. This remote contains
the buttons most commonly used

View and Edit an Activity Setup
You may want to view and modify an Activity after you set it up. For example, you might decide
to change the Activity name, add or delete a button group or change its device assignment. Or
you may decide you need buttons from another device you did not include in the Activity.
Because some changes to Activities can cause you to lose previously set up functionality, it is
best to make changes in the Activity Remote screen if possible, or before you customize the
Activity Remote.
Edit Button Groups
It is best to edit an Activity setup immediately after setting up an Activity. If you have
customized several buttons on the Activity Remote, it may be better to move the buttons by
editing the remote.
Follow these steps to swap the locations of the Menu buttons and the Transport buttons:
1. Return to the Room Contents screen and select Activities to list the Activities you have
created for the current Room. Select the appropriate device assignment.
2. Reorder the button groups by deleting the devices setup for the Transport, Menu, Channel
and PIP button groups. To delete the device assigned to a group, tap the > and uncheck the
device in the next screen.
3. Reselect the devices in the order you want the buttons to be displayed on the Activity
Remote.
Another method to achieve the same result is to do this during the initial Activity Setup. Follow
these steps:
1. After you have assigned the Audio device, tap the (Back) button until you see the display.
Next assign the Transport, Menu, Channel and PIP buttons in the order you want them to
appear on the Activity Remote.
2. Double tap an empty space to display in full screen, and double tap or shake to return to the
normal display. If you add a device to an Activity using this process, the new devices Pwr On
and Pwr Off buttons are added to the Start and All Off macros on the Activity Remote.
Customize your Activity Remote
Activities are the primary user interface. You only use Device Remotes if you need a button
that’s not on your Activity remote, and if you use that button frequently, add it to the Activity.
Activity Remotes differ from Device Remotes in how the buttons function. A Device remote
contains a single IR Code from the database, or a learned IR code. Buttons on the Activity
Remote each contain a button from a Device Remote, or a sequence of buttons called a macro.

Page | 15
When you edit or add a button to an Activity Remote, you change or add a button or button
sequence of buttons from the Device Remotes used in the Activity.
1. Tap (Edit) on the Activity Remote and then double tap a button to show the button edit
options.
2. Select (Modify Button) to show the button definition screen. This screen is similar to the
button definition screen for Devices. You can change the button name, image and turn the
label display on or off. The Macro, and the Confirm Macro selections are added.
Add a Button to an Activity Remote
Follow these steps to add a button to an Activity Remote:
1. Tap (Edit) on the Activity Remote, then double tap any empty button location. You have a
choice to add a button or a row. If there are no empty button locations, you can double tap
an existing button and select Add Row to create open button locations.
2. Tap (Add Button) and enter the name of the button you want to add.
3. Tap (Next) to define the button characteristics. Tap Image, and select the button image from
the Images list. You can select Label ON/OFF to choose whether to display a label under your
new button.
4. Tap (Macro) to add the button function from the Device Remote.
5. Tap (Edit) and the buttons from your Device Remotes will be displayed. You select a
different Device by tapping the double arrow buttons to scroll the device selection. After you
have selected the correct Device, tap the green (+) to select the button from its remote.
Press (Done) and return to the Activity Remote to display and test the button.
Note: The Confirm Macro setting does not affect single button macro; it is used for
button sequence macros that are discussed later.
Macros
Macros automate the functionality of your Activity Remote. Traditionally, you use macros to turn
power on all of your devices. In high-end remotes, macros also switch the audio and video
inputs and outputs to the correct settings for the Activity. The Rē can do that and more with
macro button sequences. Any button location on an Activity Remote can contain a multi-button
sequence of functions from any Device Remote defined in the Activity.
A special Delay Device in the Rē allows you to put delays between function buttons in a macro
sequence. Delays are useful to allow time for some functions to complete before executing the
next step in the sequence.

Page | 16
Create a Button Sequence Macro
Setting up a button sequence macro begins with the same steps as editing a button or adding a
new button.
Follow these steps to create a Button Sequence Macro:
1. Tap (Edit) in any Activity and double tap a button to create or edit its macro.
2. Tap the Modify button to display the Start button definition screen.
3. Tap Macro to display the existing Macro definition.
4. Press (Edit) to add buttons to the Macro.
5. Tap (Edit) and the buttons from your Device Remotes will be displayed. You select a different
Device by tapping the double arrow buttons to scroll the device selection. After you have
selected the correct Device, tap the green (+) to select the button from its remote. Continue
to add buttons and delays until the macro is complete.
6. Press (Done) to display the completed macro button sequence. You can tap each line in the
macro to single step through the buttons to test the macro execution.
As you use the Rē, you will probably find button sequences that you repeat regularly. You might
create a macro to skip forward 2 minutes to skip commercials when watching a recorded show.
Its easy to create a macro of four 30 second skips. There are no limits to the number of buttons
in a macro, or the number of macros you can create.
Confirm Macro and Macro Help
Use the Confirm Macro setting to enable the automatic display of the macro button sequence if
the macro doesn’t give the expected result. This can happen if the IR signal is blocked, or in
cases where the starting state of a device is not as expected by the macro. This can occur if
there is not a discrete code for a power or switching function.
If Confirm Macro is ON, the Confirm Macro alert is displayed after execution of a multi-step
macro. Pressing (No) displays the Macro sequence so you can manually execute any button in
the macro to correct the error.
Transmit Time Control for Macro steps
Some devices require a longer transmission time from the Rē for a specific button function than
the default time used in the macro step. For example, if the power on function of your TV
required a longer transmitted IR code, it would not reliably power on when the macro button
was pressed, even though pressing the power on button on the TV Device Remote works fine.
This can happen because a typical button press is a longer duration than the default macro step.
Though this is a rare problem, the Rē provides an easy solution.

Page | 17
Follow these steps to change the Transmit Time for the any button:
1. Select and edit the Start Macro. In the macro edit view, double tap the step in the macro you
wish to add transmit time.
2. The dialog box displays choices for extending the Transmit Time from its default value.
3. Select a time delay. Generally 100 or 200ms will be sufficient time to allow the TV to
respond. The selection is displayed as part of the macro step. When the macro is played by
pressing the Start button, the IR signal for Pwr On to the TV will be extended.
4. Test the macro to determine if the TV now powers on correctly. Adjust the delay time until
you get the correct response.
Create and Edit Favorites Lists
Favorites Lists can be set up for TV channels, Radio Stations, CD tracks, or anything that can be
selected as a channel number. If you are setting up TV channels, we provide the ability to
download TV network logos for personal use from the web for various regions. The default region
is the United States, and you can select other supported regions in the Settings Tab. Set your
logo region prior to setting up your Favorites Lists.
Follow these steps to set up Favorites Lists for each Activity.
1. Double tap the Room tab to see your Rooms list and select the Room where you want to add
a Favorites List. Tap the Favorites line blue (>) to add a Favorites List for the Room you are
in.
2. Tap (+) to add a new Favorites List. Enter a name for your Favorites List. Press (Next) and
select the Activity that will use this Favorites List.
3. Tap (Next) and type in the channel number for the first channel you want in your list. Enter
the channel number in the format your tuner expects.
4. Press (Next) and select the network Logo for the channel. If you don’t see the correct logo,

To access your Favorites List, tap the Favorites Tab. Remember that Favorites Lists are
associated with the Activity you selected in setup.
You can set up as many Favorites Lists as you want in each Activity, so you can have easy
access to the channels for different viewing categories or different users.
To select a Favorite Channel, just tap it, and the associated tuner changes to the channel you
select.
Audio Bar in Activities and the Button Bar in Favorites
The Button Bar at the bottom of the Favorites List provides some useful buttons from the
Activity Remote. You can always mute without returning to the Activity, and select INFO to see
program information about the channel you are viewing.
The Select button (OK) and the EXIT button are handy if you are surfing the favorites channels
while in the Guide display. You can select a channel or exit the guide without returning to the
Activity Remote view.
You can perform all of the editing functions available in the full remote or folders in the Audio
Bar in Activities or in the Button Bar in Favorites. You can customize those fixed button displays
to your preference. If you delete all of the buttons in the Audio Bar in an Activity Remote, the
bar will not be shown in the Activity screen when in use. It will appear in edit mode so you can
put buttons back into the Bar.
Select another Device Remote, Activity Remote or Favorite List
You can select a different Device or Activity Remote by double tapping the Remote Name. A
picker wheel will display the various remotes available in the current Room. You can also scroll
sideways to access other views.
Copy and Paste Settings
Copy/Paste is a handy utility that allows you to use the same Device or Favorites List in multiple
Rooms. Rather than re-create the Device or Favorites List, copy it from one Room to another.
This is especially useful for cable and satellite boxes that are often identical from Room to Room.
Because devices are typically not identical devices in two Rooms, copying Activities between
Rooms isn’t common. However, you may want to make a temporary copy of a Room or Activity
to try out some setup changes that you might want to reverse later on. Also, you may want to
present a different Room view for a different user by copying a Room setup to a second name
and then modifying it.
This example of Copy/Paste uses a previously created Favorites List in another Room.
Follow these steps to use Copy/Paste:
1. Access a Favorites Lists by double tapping the Rooms Tab. Select a specific Room Favorites.

2. Double tap a Room’s Favorites, and tap (Copy) to put the list in the paste buffer. Return to
the Rooms list.
3. Double tap another Room, and then tap (Paste) to add the first Room’s Favorites List.
4. Follow the same steps to copy a device from Room to Room.
Tip: If the Activity associated with the copied Favorites List does not exist in the new
Room, you must edit the Favorites List in the new Room to associate it with the
correct Activity.
Copy/Paste is also used for transferring settings to another iPhone, iPod or iPad using Bump or
email.
Copy and Paste Buttons and Folders
Copy a button or Folder and paste it into another remote to give access to that button or folder
in both remote views. To copy a button or folder:
1. Select the source Remote view and tap Edit
2. Double tap the button or folder you want to copy
3. Select Copy Button or Copy Folder
4. Press Done to exit edit mode
5. Select the destination remote or folder and tap Edit
6. Double tap the location on the remote to Paste the button or folder and tap Paste Button
Example Uses
Copy Device Remote button or folder to Activity Remote
The most common use of Copy/Paste buttons and folders is to quickly create a button function in
an Activity Remote from any of the devices in the same room as the Activity Remote. There are
two advantages over creating the button by using the Add Button and Macro definition process.
First, it is quicker and easier. Second, the button can be added from any device in the room, not
just the devices defined for the Activity. Also by using a folder to copy and paste the buttons
from the Device remote, you can copy multiple buttons at the same time into the Activity.
Copy Device Remote Button into a Folder in the same device
This can be used to create multiple copies of a button function into different views of the same
remote. You could create a folder to hold the 10 channel buttons and copy and paste the
Channel Up and Channel Down buttons into the folder for use when the folder is open also
leaving copies in the base remote view for use there.

Transfer Settings to another iPhone or iPod touch or iPad
Bump to share settings
You can use the Bump feature to transfer and share your Rē Universal Remote settings with
someone else in your household or office.
Bump is a tool provided by Bump Technologies that we use to copy settings between iPhones,
iPod touches, or iPads. You can either copy all of the settings from one device to another or you
can copy settings currently in the paste buffer, like a Room, Device or Favorites List.
Follow these steps to transfer settings using the Bump tool:
1. Make sure both devices are in close proximity. Start Bump by tapping the Bump Icon on both
devices. Bump will ask to use your location information when it starts in a new location. Tap
OK on both devices.
2. “Bump” the devices together as shown in the icon, or shake both devices simultaneously.
The timing is important, so “bumping” helps insure a successful connection between devices.
3. Tap (Yes) on both devices to complete the connection.
Select Send All Settings to completely duplicate all of the Rooms, Devices, Activities and
Favorites sent from one iPhone or iPod to the receiving device.
Select Send Copied Setting to send only a copy of the paste buffer in one device to the other use
(Send Copied Settings). You can share what you choose: only one Room, a Device Remote, or a
Favorites’ List. Bump sends only the last item you copied on the sending iPhone or iPod. The
receiving iPhone holds the setting copy in its paste buffer and you paste the setting in the proper
location.
Sharing Settings by Email
You can send Rē settings information to another user by using the Email Settings tool found in
the Settings Tab. The primary use for this tool is to share device remotes users create with
other users.
Sharing is possible in the following two ways:
Email your device setup directly to a friend.
Email your device setup to support@newkinetix.com so we can share it with other users.
Follow these steps to share a device remote by email:
1. Select a device to email by double tapping on the device name you want to share in the
Devices list under the Rooms tab and selecting copy.
2. Tap the Settings tab and select Email Settings.
