PREPARINGYOURPOOL
Beforeyouassembleandinstallyourpoolcleaner,westronglyrecommendyou
carryoutthefollowingstepstoensureyourpoolisreadyforcleanertooperate.
1.Makesurethechemicalbalanceofyourpoolwateriscorrect.
2.Brushyourpoolandletanydebrissettle.
3.Vacuumyourpool,usingamanualvacuumcleaner.
4.Cleanyourpoolfilter,skimmerbasketandpumpstrainerbasket.
5.Closethepoolmaindrain.(Ifyourpoolhasone.)
6.Adjustthepoolreturnlinessothewaterflowisdirecteddownwardtoensurecomplete
cleaningofyourpool.Theflowofwaterfromthereturnline(s)canaffectthe
performanceof,asitcanpushthecleanerawayfromcertainareas,orcauseitto
stayinonesectionofthepool.Toturntheflowdownwardsimply:
Loosenthelockring.
Turntheeyeball,sotheflowisdirecteddownward.
Retightenthelockring.
7.Ifnecessary,replacetheeyeballfittingwiththeReturnLineDivertersuppliedwithyour
poolcleaner.Todoso,simply:
Makesurethepoolpumpisswitchedoff.
Unscrewthelockring.
ReplacetheoriginaleyeballwiththeReturnLineDiverter.
MakesuretheReturnLineDiverterispositionedsoastodirecttheflowdownwards.

Simplystretchthedisc(withthefins
pointingup,towardsthecleaner)overthe
Footpad,asshowninFig2.Makesurethe
insiderimoftheDiscislocatedinthe
trackthatrunsaroundtheFootpad.When
theDisciscorrectlypositioned,itshould
easilyrotatearoundtheFootpad.

skimmerorvacuumpoint,tothe
farthestpointofyourpool,plus

(small)hosecuffconnectstothe
skimmer/vacuumpoint.

Ifyouhaveadeeppool,
youmayneedtofitthehose
weight.Thisistocounteract
excessivebuoyancycreated
bythehose.Thehoseweight
simplyslidesovertheMale
hosecuffandcanthenbe
positionedwhereverrequired
onthehose.Adjustingthe
positionofthehoseweight
couldprovidebetter

TROUBLESHOOTING
Duetotheindividualcharacteristicsofyourpool,someadjustmentmaybe
requiredtogetthebestpossibleperformancefromyourpoolcleaner.The
followingtipswillhelpyoutooptimizetheperformanceofyourcleaner.

Tomaintaintheperformanceofyourpoolcleaner:
Whenremovedfromthepool,makesurethehoseisstovedstraight.

Removethe(includinghose)beforechemicaltreatment.Waitaminimumof4
hoursaftersuperchlorination(shocktreatment)ofyourpoolbeforere-installingthe

REPLACINGTHEDIAPHRAGM
ThediaphragmofyourOrbitpoolcleaneroperatesattherateofapproximately360
beatsperminute.IfyourOrbitoperatesdailyfor8hours,thediaphragmwillopenand
closeover60milliontimesinayear!Thedesignhasbeenperfectedovermanyyears
and,properlycaredfor,thediaphragmwilllastforseveralseasons.Intheeventthatit
doesbecomewornordamagedandneedstobereplaced,simplyfollowtheseeasy
steps:
1.UnscrewtheHANDNUTandremoveit,togetherwiththeOUTEREXTENSIONPIPE
andtheTHRUSTWASHER.Placetheseitemstooneside.
2.HoldtheINNEREXTENSIONPIPE(IEP)andgentlypullittowardsyou.Thispulls
thetabsoutoftheirrecess.
3.TurntheINNEREXTENSIONPIPEsothetabslineupwiththeholesintheIEP
LOCATOR. DonotremovetheINNEREXTENSIONPIPEfromtheBODY

4.PushtheINNEREXTENSIONPIPEawayfromyou,sothetabsgothrough
theholesintheIEPLOCATOR.
5.GrasptheotherendoftheDIAPHRAGM(theendfurthestawayfromtheINNER
EXTENSIONPIPE)andpullitawayfromtheOrbitBODY.TheDIAPHRAGMwill
fallclearoftheBODY.
6.TwisttheDIAPHRAGM,removingitfromtheINNEREXTENSIONPIPE.
7.RemovetheRETAININGRINGfromtheDIAPHRAGM.Discardtheused
diaphragm.

Toinstallanewdiaphragm,simplyreversetheprocess:
(a)FittheRETAININGRINGontothenew
DIAPHRAGM. (b)PushtheDIAPHRAGMontotheINNER
EXTENSIONPIPE.Makesureitiscorrectly
locatedandfullyengaged.
(c)PulltheINNEREXTENSIONPIPEup
throughtheBODY,positioningthetabsso
theycanbepulledthroughtheholesinthe
IEPLOCATOR.
(d)GentleturntheINNEREXTENSIONPIPEso
thetabsarealignedwiththerecessesinthe
IEPLOCATOR.ReleasetheINNER
EXTENSIONPIPE.
(e)CheckthattheDIAPHRAGMiscorrectly
located.Ifithasbecometwistedduring
installation,simplyuntwistbyslightlyturning
theopenendoftheDIAPHRAGM.
(f)SlidetheTHRUSTWASHERovertheINNER
EXTENSIONPIPE.Theflatside(widest
diameter)oftheTHRUSTWASHERshould
facedown.
(g)PlacetheOUTEREXTENSIONPIPE
overtheINNEREXTENSIONPIPE. (h)ScrewtheHANDNUTintoplace,tolockthe
assembly.
(i)CheckthattheOUTEREXTENSIONPIPE
swivelsfreely.
Becarefulnottoover-tightenthe
Handnut.

TheOrbitpoolcleanerwascarefullyinspectedbeforeshipment.Ifafteropeningthepack,any
partprovestobemissingordefective,pleasenotifyusimmediately.RedLeopardLLC(Red
LeopardwarrantsthisOrbitpoolcleaneragainstmanufacturingdefectsforaperiodofone
year.Thislimitedwarrantyiseffectivefromthedateofpurchase.

Thislimitedwarrantyisforthereplacementofdefectivepartsonly.Anylaborcharges
including,butnotlimitedto,chargesincurredfortheinstallationorfittingofthereplacement
partsbythedealer.
Thefollowingareexcludedfromthislimitedwarranty:
1.Damageto,ormalfunctionof,theOrbitpoolcleanerasaresultofimproperwater
chemistry,includingbutnotlimitedto,excesschlorination.
2.DiscolorationoftheOrbitpoolcleaner.Exposuretoultravioletlightraysandpool
chemicalscancausediscolorationoftheOrbitpoolcleaner.
3.Patternremoval,abrasionormarkingonvinylliners.
4.Damagetovinyllinerswheretheage,care,maintenanceandimproperinstallation
ofthevinyllinermayhavecausedittobecomewrinkledorbrittle.UseoftheOrbit
poolcleanerinsuchcircumstancesisatthepoolownersrisk.’
ThislimitedwarrantyshallbevoidifthecustomermodifiestheOrbitpoolcleanerinanyway,
orusespartsotherthangenuineRedLeopardparts.
Onlytheoriginalpurchaserisentitledtomakeawarrantyclaim.
Thislimitedwarrantygivesthecustomerspecificlegalrightsandaccordingly,someofthe
listedconditionsmaynotapplytocustomersincertainstates.
Thesewarrantiesareinlieuofanyotherwarranties,expressedorimplied,including
warrantiesoffitnessandmerchantability.Anysuchimpliedwarrantyimposedbystate
consumerlawislimitedtooneyearfromdateofpurchase.
RedLeopardassumesnoresponsibilityforanywarrantiesorrepresentationsmadebyother
