• Suitable for Juicing: Choose rm fruits and vegetables such as green apples, grapefruit, kiwi, pears, lemon/lime, oranges, asparagus, beets,
bell peppers, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, cucumber, kale, romaine lettuce, spinach, summer squash, sweet potatoes, leafy greens, parsley,
ginger, garlic, wheat grass and sprouts.
• Not Suitable for Juicing: Overly ripe fruits, as well as so, low-moisture fruits such as apricots, avocados, bananas, and plums, are not
suitable for juicing extraction. Do not attempt to “juice” frozen foods, ice, or raw coconut.
• Cut fruits and vegetables into smaller pieces before placing in the feed tube. Fruits such as pineapple, papaya, mango, cantaloupe, and
other melons should be cut lengthwise into long pieces.
• It is not necessary to peel fruits and vegetables with thin skins. Always remove the skin from thick-skinned fruits such as melons, cantaloupe,
pineapple, mango, papaya, citrus fruits, etc. For citrus fruits, remove only the outer peel leaving as much of the white pith as possible.
• Remove pits and cores from fruits such as cherries, apples, pears and peaches before juicing.
• Celery should be cut or diced into very small pieces and pushed through slowly as celery bers may clog the juicer.
• When juicing soer fruits like pineapple and papaya, it is best to select very fresh and rm produce. Fruit as it ages becomes so making it
more likely to clog the juicer. It is also important to alternate pieces of so fruit with pieces of rm fruits or vegetables, such as
carrots, apples, beets, and pears to prevent the juicer from clogging. Add pieces slowly; as you juice, watch to see if pulp is being ejected
from the Pulp Outlet. If pulp is not being ejected, add a piece of rm vegetable or fruit to the feeding tube until you see pulp coming out
of the Pulp Outlet.
• Fresh raw pecans, walnuts, almonds or hazelnuts that have not been pasteurized or heated for optimum nutritional value are
recommended.
• e nuts must be soaked before making nut milk. Attempting to make nut milk with nuts that have not been soaked can damage the
Nutrex PressTM Juicer. Damage of this type is not covered by the warranty.
• Nut milks can be consumed immediately, or refrigerated and consumed within 24 hours.
• NOTE: Do not attempt to make rice milk; it will damage the unit.
• e thickness of the soymilk will depend on the amount of water added.
• Soymilk is boiled to inactivate trypsin inhibitors, improving nutritional value.
• Tofu should be served immediately or covered with ltered water and stored in a sealable
container in the refrigerator. It is freshest in the rst 2 to 3 days but can be stored for up
to 1week.
• To make delicious juice blends, cover the Juice Outlet with the Stopper. Feed two or more
fruits and vegetables into the Feeder Tube, then open the Stopper to release the juice
blend into the Juice Catcher.
• Combining fruits with vegetables helps reduce the concentration of sugars in fruit juices.
