Coupling / Trailer Plugs
YOUR COUPLING
The Retreat Hamilton is itted with a 50mm Ball Coupling as pictured. Its important that you have ample
grease on your ball and when the Jockey Wheel is disconnected that the safety lock latch has engaged

YOUR TRAILER PLUGS
The Retreat Hamilton is itted with a 12 Pin Plug that operates your Brakes, Lights Fridge
etc as well as an Anderson Plug (Grey) designed to charge your caravans batteries whilst
towing, an Anderson Plug (Red) supplying power to your ESC and also a reverse camera
lead that connects to your car to view via your supplied monitor.

STABILISER LEGS
The Retreat Hamilton is itted with a Gas Bayonet
which can be located on the door side of your
caravan underneath the tunnel boot access door
(attached to the chassis)
The Retreat Hamilton is itted with 4 Stabiliser
legs that will keep you level, Simply Pull the
Lever to release and adjust the leg accordingly.
To wind the leg down please use the supplied
Stabiliser Leg Winder Brace

Stability Control / Electric Step
STABILITY CONTROL ESC
The Retreat Hamilton is itted with Sway Control to assist
your towing experience. In our 2017 Model we use the Alko
ESC.
To ensure your ESC is operating Correct please plug:
• The Caravan Anderson Plug (RED) into you Car Anderson
Plug Inlet
• When this is complete the Status Light should be
illuminated Red and then switch to Green, this indicates
that the ESC is Active.
• The Esc will only activate when required

The Retreat Hamilton is itted with an Electric Entry Step. This step is powered by a Up/Down Switch
located inside the doorway. This Electric Step is Powered direct to the House Battery.

JACKING POINTS
The Retreat Hamilton has 2 Jacking points which
are welded to the chassis, the location of these
points may change depending on Size and
layout. Retreat have also supplied you a Jack
to assist which is located under your bed.

WATER FILLER INLET MAINS FILLER INLET
USING YOUR WATER SUPPLY
The Retreat Hamilton is itted with water iller inlet and mains iller inlet,
And a Quick Fill Valve all items are located on the rear oside of the caravan.
To use the Water Filler inlet simply just insert a hose in to the iller and your tanks will
continue to ill. This is generally used when not onsite.
To use the Mains Filler simply connect a tap itting to the mains iller and connect the hose
to the tap itting and turn the tap on. This option will give you continuous water. This option is
used when on site (ensure your water pump is turned o for this option to work)
To use you Quick Fill Valve, ensure your connected to mains and turn the chrome, this will ill
your Water Tanks however don’t forget to shut o chrome valve when your tanks are full.

REAR VIEW CAMERA
The Retreat Hamilton is itted with a Rear View Camera.
This camera will be wired thru the caravan and have a
connection plug at the end of your wiring loom.
Simply install or have installed your supplied car wiring
loom to visualise the picture displayed on your supplied
monitor.

OUTSIDE SHOWER
The Retreat Hamilton is itted with a Outside Shower.
This shower consists of a Hot and Cold tap that are
linked to your Water Tanks for Free Camping (when
water pump is on) also you can use the Outside
Shower when connected to Mains.
The Outside Shower is Generally located on the
Oside Rear of the Caravan in most Models.
RED BALL VALVE GREY WATER GAUGE
GREY WATER TANK
The Retreat Hamilton is itted with a Grey Water Tank.
This Grey Water Tank will catch all of the water that has been used in the Shower,
Hand Basin and Kitchen Sink (not Toilet)
The Red Ball Valve will open and close the wastage pipe for draining.
The Water level Gauge will also indicate how full your Grey Water Tank is.

Finscan RV Monitoring System
The FinScan NUCLEUS app can be found on Google Play, and the app store from your device.
The app is free to download, and will work if the system has an optional WIFI module connected to it,
and WIFI option is set to ON, in the setup area of the FinScan screen.
Search the play and app stores using the keword “FinScan”, and the app will apprear for download.
The FinScan NUCLEUS app icon is illustrated above.
Once Downloaded, the output buttons can be conigured and customised to match the main screens
labels. To conigure the app labels, each button on the NUCLEUS touch screen has a number on the label
that matches output number on the app. Simply type the labels into the app setup for output buttons,
voltages and tanks. If a particular outputs unused, then the check box next to the output needs to be
checked to hide the button on the app screen as well.

Breaksafe System / Batter Charger - Monitor
BATTERY CHARGER MONITOR
All Hamilton Models are itted with a 35amp charger.
This will also come with a Remote Monitor as pictured above.
The Remote Monitor will be located in the Overhead
Cupboard and will enable the customer to alter the
Charge Rate as well as see the current voltage in the batteries.
Location of the Charger may vary however it will be generally
located inside the kitchen cupboard or under a seat

BRAKESAFE SYSTEM
Prior to travel please push the blue button “Press” to
indicate whether the Brakesafe battery has suicient
charge. If a green light appears to the right of the
“Press” button you are good to travel. If a red light
appears to the right of the “Press” button you need to
charge the Brakesafe further.
The Brakesafe will be located on the Battery Board of a
Front Boot Model, or in the oside bedside cupboard
in a No Front Boot Model
*Please Note*
Black Switch #1 to be left “on” During Travel
to ensure Brakesafe is Operating

Solar Controller
UNDERSTANDING YOUR
SOLAR CONTROLLER
The Hamilton model is itted with a solar controller
that will be located either on the battery board of
a front boot model of a caravan or in the overhead
cupboard of a no front boot model.
Retreat Caravans has set the controller to be self
suicient, if you would like to alter any settings
please read your information booklet supplied:
If there is no illumination on this arrow and there
is sun hitting the panels please check the fuse as
pictured to the left on the battery board for front
boot models or at the battery board for the No
front boot models
Retreat recommend the Load is left on as well as the Black isolation
switch is left on at all times for best use.

DVD OPERATION
TV SOURCE DVD
To ensure your DVD viewing has no issue please follow these instructions
Ensure your 12vlt charger
is plugged in to avoid TV
running out of power
Insert your DVD into the
slot and the DVD will load
automatically for viewing
This Unit also plays Radio, CD and
Bluetooth Music. Please See your
instruction manual for more detail
Ensure your booster

Ensure there is a visual RCA cable plugged
into the Wynguard Wall Plate as well as in
your TV (Yellow RCA Insert)

EXTERNAL TV HATCH
If you would like to watch TV outside please do the Following:
See below for Labels for the TV Hatch:
Remove Internal TV of TV Arm and Connect to Outside TV Arm
Connect a power source 240 volt or 12 volt
Ensure the Booster on the Wynguard Wall Plate is illuminated
Connect an Antenna lead from the TV to the External TV Point
Tune TV in Necessary
Connect RCA from TV to External RCA Point for DVD (DVD in Radio Unit)
*ensure your outside speakers are turned on for DVD volume Outside
EXPLORER POINT
When at a Caravan Park or when carrying a portable satellite dish you will
require 1 or 2 Explorer Point(s). Simply Plug the Coax or Antenna Lead into
the External Explorer Connection (after removing the black screw caps)
Then Connect the Internal antenna lead from the Explorer Wall Plate to the
TV and Tune in your Decoder or Select your ATV TV Source for Regular TV

Blind Operation / Sirocco 12v Fan
BLIND OPERATION WHEN
TRAVELLING

We often are asked: “how should we travel, with our
blinds Down or Up?”
SIROCCO 12VLT FAN
All Retreat Hamilton Models are Fitted with two 12vlt Sirocco Fan in the Bedroom
To ensure the Fan has Power push the “Master” Button on the Finscan Unit in the
“Power Options”
Once Power is on Use the Sirocco fan in the Following Steps:
Push Power on Fan & Select
Speed By Additional Pushes of
this Button
Adjust Fan Direction
Check Timer Display (hours)
A Blue Light will Indicate Timer
Selection (eg 12hrs Above)
