Manual Touchscreen & Wi-Fi Firmware Update

Before Installation
1. Terminate any active call for heat. Disable the
boiler operation in the boiler” menu or
deactivate the enable switch on the unit.
2. Allow the unit to shut down.
3. Turn OFF the boiler main power switch. Make
sure the boiler is completely de-energized.
•Follow the instructions per unit’s model:
–XFIIRE and XVERS-L (Page 3)
–MVB and XTherm (Page 7)
–XVERS (Page 15)
–Troubleshooting (Page 22)

SD Card update
1. SD card is located on the back of the
touchscreen. To gain access to the back of the
screen, gently pull the plastic bezel towards you.
2. Remove the SD card from the back of the
touchscreen by pushing and releasing.

3. In a computer, Download 4.3” update *.zip file from:
Raypak.com/raymoteupdate
4. Insert the SD Card in the computer.
4. Locate the downloaded zip file and unzip it directly
into the SD card

6. Reinstall SD card in the touchscreen.
7. Reinstall touchscreen bezel and turn on the unit.

8. Touchscreen Software update starts automatically.
9. Wait until software has been installed.
10. Press Next to start WiFi module update

11. WiFi module Flashing starts automatically.
11. Touchscreen reboots a ter update is completed.

SD Card update
1. SD card is located on the left side of the
touchscreen. To gain access to the screen,
remove the knurled screw that secures the front
sheet metal panel. Remove the front panel.

Important: Verify if module is new generation, access to
Touchscreen back is required. if it is previous generation the Wi-
Fi module HW needs to be replaced.

3. Remove the four (4) 5/16” hex screws from the
touchscreen mounting brackets on the Junction-
box. Remove the touchscreen.

4. Remove the touchscreen rear cover.
Important: Verify if module is new generation, access to
Touchscreen back is required. if it is previous generation the
Wi-Fi module HW needs to be replaced.

5. Once module compatibility is
verified.
6. Extract SD card by carefully
pressing to release. SD card has a
spring-lock mechanism.

10. Reinstall SD card and the back cover in the
touchscreen.

8. Insert the SD Card in the computer.

SD Card update
1. SD card is located on the left side of the
touchscreen. To gain access to the screen,
release the four snap fasteners to remove the
font cover panels from the unit.

2. Remove the 5/16" Phillips screw that secures
the swing panel.

Important: Verify if module is new generation, access to
Touchscreen back is required. if it is previous generation the Wi-
Fi module HW needs to be replaced.

3. Remove the touchscreen rear cover.
4. Check the WiFi module chip.
5. If the WiFi module is Black, remove the SD
Card to continue with the update.
