Read the instruction manual carefully before starting the machine. The
warnings contained in the manual provide important information on safety
and installation, use and maintenance. Failure to observe the instructions in
the enclosed documentation may compromise the safety of the appliance and
immediately voids the warranty.
RISKS AND IMPORTANT WARNINGS
x
The machine must NOT be kept powered up when not in use or when cleaning.
xNEVER use the machine to wash objects of any form, size or material not
guaranteed to be machine-washable or not in good condition.
xNEVER use the machine or any of its assemblies as steps or support for
persons, property or animals.
xNEVER overload the open door of front-loading machines, which is rated only
to support the basket loaded with dishes.

xNEVER
use detergents or rinse additives not supplied by Rhima in this
machine. The use of chemicals supplied by others may cause damage to the
machine and is in contravention of your rental agreement.
xNEVER place your bare hands in the wash solution.
xNEVER overturn the machine after it has been installed.
xIf you notice any malfunction or fluid leak, immediately disconnect the power
supply and shut off the water supply.
x
Do not install the dishwasher in the vicinity of heat sources over 50°C.
xNEVER leave the dishwasher exposed to the weather (rain, direct sunlight,
etc.)
xThe dishwasher may not be installed outdoors without proper cover.
xNever start a wash programme without the overflow in the tub, as applicable.
xNever place magnetic objects in the vicinity of the machine.
xDo not use the top of the machine as a table or support.
xThe installer is responsible for checking that the grounding system is fully
operational.

Switching the dishwasher on
xTurn on the main electrical switch and open the
external water tap.
xCheck that there is enough detergent and rinse
aid in the tanks.
xCheck the presence of the overflow (when
included).
xPress the ON/OFF key (1) as shown alongside.
xThe machine will automatically start filling. The
START button (3) flashes. When the machine is
ready, the button turns green and the time bar
illuminates completely.
Filling the rack
To ensure the correct operation of the dishwasher follow the rules described below:
xUse a suitable rack, fill without overloading and without overlapping the dishes.
x
Always scrape the dishes before placing in the dishwasher; do not put dishes with dry or solid
residues in the washer without pre-soaking first.
xPlace the empty dishes in the rack facing downwards.
xPlace plates and the like in the sloping rack, with the inner surface facing upwards.
xPlace the cutlery in the cutlery basket, handle end down.
xDo not place silver and stainless steel cutlery in the same cutlery basket as this will turn the silver
brown and may corrode the steel.
xWash the dishes immediately after use, in order to prevent any residue from hardening and sticking
on them.
xUse only solid, dishwasher-proof dishes.
Cycle selection and start-up
xBased on the type of dishes and their
conditions, three types of cycles are available.

xSelect the wash cycle that is suited for the
dishes to be washed. Repeatedly press the
key PROGRAMME SELECTION key (2) to
show the selected cycle on the display.
xTo start the programme, press the START
button (3) as shown alongside.
x
During the cycle, the key turns blue (5) and the
time bar shows the progress of the cycle.

xThe cycle ends with two short beeps. The START key (3) of the selected programme returns to
green and the display shows the message ‘END’. The time bar flashes.
xA few seconds after start-up, it is possible to start the wash cycle in advance by pressing the
START key (3).
xIn order to get rapid drying, immediately remove the rack from the machine at the end of the cycle.
Standard Programmes
Short wash programme for lightly soiled dishes.
Medium wash programme for averagely soiled dishes.
Long wash programme for heavily soiled dishes.
Continuous wash. The cycle can be stopped at any time by pressing the Start button.
After a short pause, the rinse stage will start. The cycle ends automatically after
12 minutes.
*Not available in VU-40 glasswashers.
Automatic cycle start-up
This function is used to make the chosen cycle start automatically when the door or hood is closed. To
enable, proceed as follows:
xIf not made available by default, the function must first be enabled via the settings menu.
x
With the appliance on and the door open or hood is up, press and hold (for at least five seconds)
START (3) until Aappears on the display.
x
To disable the function, with the door open or hood is up press START (3) again for five seconds.
x
Move the washing and rinsing arms at right angles to the edge of the door or opening.
Draining the dishwasher
x
Remove the scrap screens and clean under running water.
x
Replace tub filter and scrap screens and close the door.
x
If necessary, extract the tub filter and clean.
x
x
Press the PROGRAMME SELECTION key (2) until the display indicates (dr) on the display.
xPress START (3)
to start the drain cycle.

Cleaning the dishwasher at end of day
xPress START (3)
to start the self-cleaning cycle.
Press the PROGRAMME SELECTION key (2) until the display indicates (CLE) on the display.

Once completed ensure you replace the scrap screens and tub filter before next use.
xClose the door.
x
Remove the scrap screens and tub filter and clean under running water.
x
Machine will go into standby on completion of drain cycle.
x
Machine will go into standby on completion of self-cleaning cycle.
