Thank you for purchasing our RHINO BREW SCALE. With normal care and proper
treatment, this scale will provide years of reliable service.
General Maintenance and Care
1. Avoid exposure to extreme heat or cold. Also avoid any kind of moisture. Always allow
your scale to acclimate to normal room temperature before use.
2. Keep your scale in a clean and dry environment. Dust, dirt, moisture, vibration, air
currents and proximity to other electronic equipment may have an adverse effect on the
accuracy and reliability of the scale.
3. Handle the scale with care. Gently apply all items to be weighed on the tray top.
Although this scale is designed to be quite durable, avoid rough treatment, as this may
permanently damage the internal parts. Always avoid shaking and dropping. This is a
precision instrument and should be handled with extreme care.

Operation
1. Place the scale on a leveled surface &press “ON/OFF” key to turn on the scale or
power it off.
2. Wait until the LCD display shows zero, then press “UNIT” key to choose the weighing
unit.
3. Place the item to be weighed on the platform and wait until the reading is stable.
Please Note:
When using the Timer Function, if any weight is removed from the weighing platform, the
Timer will pause. Take care not to bump, adjust, or remove the brewing vessel once your
brew has started. We also recommend not stirring the coffee bed as this will also trigger
the scale Timer to pause.
Tare Function
1. Turn on the scale as described above.
2. Place the “tare item” on the platform. Press “TARE” key and wait until the LCD displays

zero.
3. Scale can now be used for weighing. Add the “net-weight-item”.
Calibration
1. When the scale is turned off, press ON/OFF key to turn on the scale, until zero is
displayed.
2. Press and hold the “UNIT” key until the display shows “CAL”, then release the button.
Press the “UNIT” key again, the required weight flashes on the display. Place the required
weight onto the centre of the platform.
3. The LCD display reads “PASS” and come back to the normal weighing mode.
Auto-Off setting
1. The default Auto-Off setting is 180 seconds if inactivity.
2. To change the Auto-Off time setting or disable this function, please follow these steps:
① Turn off the scale.
② With the scale off, press and hold “ON/OFF” button, then quickly press “UNIT”
key 8 – 10 times until “300” is displayed. Press “UNIT” key to cycle through your
choices of “0/180/300” seconds. Turn off the scale, auto-off setting is completed.
③ Turn on the scale.
If user chooses “0” seconds in previous step, it means the Auto-Off function is
disabled. To keep a longer battery life, please turn the scale off by pressing the
“ON/OFF” key after each use.
Beep and Timer Function
1. Turn on the scale. Press and hold START/STOP button until display shows 00’00’’.
Now 00’ is flashing.
2. To set the minutes: Press TARE button to increase. Press UNIT button to decrease.
Press START/STOP to confirm your selection. Now 00” is flashing on display.
3. Set the seconds: Press TARE button to increase. Press UNIT button to decrease.
Press START/STOP to confirm your selection. Now the scale will come back to normal
weighing mode.
4. Press START/STOP to start timing. When it reaches preset time, the timer will beep.
5. To stop the beeping, press START/STOP. Press START/STOP to reset / zero the
timer.
6. During beeping, if user presses either UNIT or TARE button, the beep will be stopped
but the timer is not stopped.
7. Two typical application scenarios:
(1) When using this scale under timer function, if object is removed from platform
before reaching preset time limit, the time counting will be stopped, the time reading
and weight reading will be locked on display. Press START/STOP button to reset the
timer, press TARE to zero.
(2) When using this scale under timer function and reached time limit, the scale will
beep. Now the timer still keeps counting until the object is removed from platform.
When removing the object from platform, time counting will be stopped and beeping
will be stopped too, both time reading and weight reading will be locked on display.
Press START/STOP button to reset the timer, press TARE to zero.
Warning
1. “LO”: Low voltage. Please replace the batteries.
2. “O-Ld”/EEEE: Overload. Please remove item quickly to protect the scale.
PLEASE NOTE:
When using the Timer function, if any weight is removed from the weighing platform, the
Timer will pause. Take care not to bump, adjust, or remove the brewing vessel once the
Timer has started. We also recommend not stirring the coffee bed as this will trigger the
Timer to pause.
