DESCRIPTION
The Richard
Wolf
Model
E2085.00
is
a
mini-bipolar
electrosurgical
unit.
An
am-
meter
is
incorporated
into
the
E2085.00
to
provide
the
surgeon
with
a
visual
indica-
tion
of
the
progress
of
the
operation.
Richard
Wolf,
as
manufacturer
and
seller
of
these
units,
will
not
accept
any
liability
for
direct
or
consequential
damage
caused
by
incorrect
use
or
operation
of
these
units,
especially
if
these
instructions
are
not
followed
or
the
unit
Is
subjected
to
incorrect
care
or
service.

PRECAUTIONS
|
Always
observe.
the
following
precautions
when
operating
the
E2085.00
Electrosurgical
Generator:
e
Carefully
unpack
the
unit
and
visibly
check
to
see
if
any
damage
occured
during
shipment.
e
This
unit
was
fully
tested
at
the
factory
before
shipment.
As
a
precaution,
it
is
recommended
that
the
unit
be
tested
prior
to
a
surgical
procedure.
NEVER
operate
this
unit
in
the
presence
of
flammable
anesthetics.
NEVER
remove
the
cover,
because
of
electric
shock
hazard.
Refer
servicing
to
qualified
personnel.
For
continued
protection
against
fire
hazard,
always
repiace
the
blown
fuse
with
the
same
type
and
rating.
Do
not
use
this
unit
without
proper
electrical
ground.
Do
not
block
the
ventilation
vents.
OPERATION
This
section
provides
a
description
of
the
features
and
modes
of
operation
of
the
Model
E2085.00
Bipolar
Electro-
surgical
Generator.
POWER
The
Power
Switch
(1)
supplies
current
to
the
electrosurgical
unit
E2085.00.
This
switch
should
be
turned
on
only
when
Bipolar
current
is
required
and
only
then
after
following
the
operating
instructions.
OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS:
BIPOLAR
WARNING
DO
NOT
MODIFY
THE
BIPOLAR
CABLE
IN
ANY
WAY.
ANY
MODIFICATIONS
ARE
DONE
AT
YOUR
OWN
RISK
AND
WILL
VOID
ALL
WARRANTIES
ON
THIS
CABLE
AND
ANY
WOLF
INSTRUMENTS
USED
WITH
IT.
1.
Make
sure
all
cables
are
in
good
condition.
2.
Make
sure
ail
connections
are
completely
free
of
moisture.
3.
Connect
footswitch
cable
to
Footswitch
Receptacle
(2).
Place
footswitch
in
proper
position
for
operation
(by
surgeon
only.)
4.
Insert
active
Bipolar
cable
into
the
Bipolar
Receptacle
(3).
Do
not
connect
active
cable
to
instruments
until
unit
is
ready
to
be
used.
5.
Depress
the
Power
Switch
(1).
6.
Depress
the
footswitch
when
power
is
needed.
7.
The
Ammeter
(5)
provides
the
surgeon
with
a
visual
indication
of
the
progress
of
his
operation.
Normal
meter
operation
would
show
a
decrease
in
current
flow
as
the
tubal
ligation
progresses.
8.
The
tone
emitted
by
the
unit
and
the
illumination
of
the
Bipolar Indicator
Light
(6),
above
the
Bipolar
Recep-
tacle,
indicates
that
the
unit
is
functioning.

REPLACEMENT

To
replace
the fuse,
push
the
Fuseholder
Cap
(9)
in
and
to
the
left.
Replace
a
blown
fuse
with
the
same
type
of
3
A/250
V
(9)
fuse.
Push
Fuseholder
Cap
(9)
in
and
turn
to
the
right.
If
trouble
is
encountered
with
the
Model
E2085.00,
perform
the
procedures
in
the
Troubleshooting
Chart.
If
the
problem
persists,
refer
the
unit
to
qualified
personne!
for
servicing.

We
reserve
the

make
substitutions,

necessary,
without
prior

Repair
Policy
Defective
merchandise
will
be
repaired
or
replaced
at
no
charge
to
the
customer,
provided
the
customer
delivers
such
defective
merchandise
prepaid.
Any
repairs,
maintenance
or
servicing
of
our
merchandise
by
anyone
other
than
a
factory
authorized
represen-
tative
will
render
our
warranty
null
and
void.
When
returning
your
instrument
for
repair,
we
suggest
that
you
use
the
box
it

originally
shipped
in,

order

prevent
damage

the
instrument

transit.

recommend
that

instrument

insured

amount

cover

cost

replacement.
