Say hello
to your
Ring
Range
Extender.

your Ring
Range

in the Ring
app.

Prepare to add the
range extender
In the Ring app, choose Set
Up a Device.
Choose the Ring Range
Extender, then tap Add
Device.

your Ring
Range
Extender
to your
base
station.

Plug the range
extender into
a wall outlet
This turns on the device.
Your base station will find it.

Scan the QR Code or
enter the S2 PIN
The QR Code and PIN can
be found on the back of
your device, on the box, or
on the card in this box.

Track the connection
progress
Your extender will try to
connect to your base
station. The extender’s LED
ring will show the progress.
Here are some common
LED patterns:

your Ring
Range
Extender
where
you’d like.

Place your detector
(but don’t install it yet)
Move the range extender in
between the base station
and a device that’s hard to
reach. The System Check
may give you ideas about
devices that might need a
boost.
