Installaon Instrucons
1. Disconnect power from the Direct Vent Furnace.
2. Aach the wire harnesses to the sub pcb.
3. Install rubber grommets to sub PCB cover/bracket.
4. Aach the circuit board spacers to the sub PCB, then aach assembly to the sub PCB cover/bracket.
5. Secure sub PCB assembly to the direct vent furnace rear panel with the provided screws (2).

6. Connect the red and blue pins of the sub PCB (Central Timer Harness) to the corresponding red and blue connecng pins of the
direct vent furnace.
7. Wire the sub PCB (Power Harness) to the transformer and the eld supplied wall thermostat (see wiring diagrams on following
page).
8. Re-connect power supply.
9. Adjust heater to Remote Thermostat mode by having the unit in OFF mode (sll plugged in). Press and hold the ECONOMY +
UP + SET TIMES buons (PROGRAM buon for EX38CT model) for 2.5 seconds. The display will show 00. Press the UP buon;
the display will read 01. Press the ON/OFF buon, the display will go blank. The unit is now in Remote Thermostat mode. Do
not unplug the direct vent furnace within two hours of making the mode adjustments; if the direct vent furnace is un-
plugged within two hours, it will revert back to the default Control Panel mode.
