GETTING STARTED

BATTERY INSTALLATION (BATTERIES NOT INCLUDED)

This clock uses 2 AAA batteries to back up the time and alarm settings in the

case of a power outage. These batteries are not for everyday operation. The

clock should stay plugged in when in use.

To install batteries, open the battery cover on the bottom of the clock.

Then, match the “+” and “–” signs with the batteries. Replace the

battery cover. If the clock is not used for an extended period of time,

remove the batteries before storing it.

SETTING THE TIME

1. Press and Hold MEM until the numbers blink.

2. Press the HOUR and MIN buttons to set the time.

3. Press MEM to confirm the time.

4. Set the year using the HOUR/MONTH and MIN/DAY buttons.

5. Press MEM to confirm the year.

6. Set the Month and Day using the HOUR/MONTH and MIN/DAY buttons.

7. Press MEM once more to confirm and exit.

THE SOURCE BUTTON

The Source / ALM OFF button turns the clock radio on.

Press it mutiple times to cycle between 4 dierent modes:

OFF (Standby) > FM > AM > AUX. When the clock is in standby,

it will remain silent until an alarm sounds, or until the SOURCE

button is pressed to turn the clock on for FM, AM, or AUX mode.

SETTING THE ALARM

1. Press and hold ALM1 for a few seconds until the numbers blink.

2. Use the HOUR and MINUTE buttons to set the alarm time.

3. Press ALM1 to confirm.

4. Next, use the MIN/DAY or HOUR/MONTH buttons to select the days

that the alarm goes o. Select from 3 pre-set day options:

• 1-5 Mon-Fri (weekdays)

• 1-7 Mon-Sun (every day)

• 6-7 Sat-Sun (weekend)

5. Press ALM1 again to confirm.

6. Now that the alarm time is set, press ALM1 to change the alarm

sound between Buzzer and Radio, or to disable it.

Alarm 2 is set using the same steps, using the ALM2 button instead of ALM1.

SNOOZING OR DISABLING THE ALARM

When the alarm sounds, you can press ALM OFF to turn the alarm o until

the next day. Or, you can press SNOOZE to pause the alarm for 9 minutes.

You can keep snoozing for up to 60 minutes.

LISTENING TO THE RADIO

1. Press the SOURCE button repeatedly until the LED display shows an

FM or AM radio frequency.

2. Tune the station frequency manually by pressing or

Stations with weaker signals may need to be tuned manually.

Adjust the volume at any time by pressing the VOL + and VOL - buttons.

TO SAVE AND RECALL RADIO STATION PRESETS

To save radio station presets, select the station to save from FM or AM

mode. Then, press and hold the MEM button. “P01” will blink on the

display. Press HOUR or MIN to choose the preset number to save to, then

press MEM again to confirm.

To recall saved radio station presets, press the MEM button from FM or

AM mode. The display will show “P01”. Press MEM again to select the

next preset station. You can also use the or to select preset

stations.

LISTENING TO AN AUX (AUXILLARY) DEVICE

1. Plug a sound source into the AUX jack of the clock using a 3.5 mm

audio cable (not included). This can be an MP3 player, phone or

other device that has a 3.5mm headphone or line output.

2. Press the SOURCE button repeatedly until the LED display reads

“AUX”.

3. Start playing music on your aux device and adjust the volume on

the aux device as needed. Adjust the volume of the clock speakers at

any time by pressing the VOL + and VOL - buttons.

AUTO POWER-OFF (SLEEP TIMER)

From AM/FM or AUX mode, press the SNOOZE/SLEEP button. “90” will

blink on the display, meaning that the clock will go into standby mode

in 90 minutes. Keep pressing SNOOZE/SLEEP to select 80, 70, 60, 50

minutes, etc. After the selected number of minutes has been blinking

for 5 seconds, it will be set as the selection for auto power-off.

Until the clock powers off, you can press SNOOZE/SLEEP again to see

how much time is left, to adjust the power-off time again, or to disable

auto-power off.

To turn the clock off immediately. You can always just press the

SOURCE button until the clock goes into standby mode. In standby

mode, no audio will be playing but the clock and its alarms are still

functional.

OTHER FUNCTIONS

• Press the Dimmer button select the brightness of the clock display

there are two brightness levels.

• Press the TIME button to check the current time and date from any

mode

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

CAUTION: Unplug the unit before cleaning!

Replace the back-up batteries every year or so to ensure your alarms

still go off if there is a loss of power. Remove the batteries whenever

the clock is unplugged or stored somewhere.

A soft cloth or a paper towel may be used to clean your clock. Do not

use corrosive cleaners or chemical solutions on the clock. Keep the

clock clean and dry to prevent any issues.

TROUBLESHOOTING

PROBLEM SOLUTION

No power to unit • Connect the power cord to a working

outlet. The clock does not fully oper-

ate on batteries. Batteries are only for

preserving the time and alarm settings in

the event of a power outage.

No sound from the

speaker

• Make sure volume is up, and the unit has

power.

• Make sure that the correct mode is

selected for the music source you are

using. Use the SOURCE button on the

top of the clock to change between AM,

FM and AUX.

• If in AUX mode, make sure the sound

source is connected securely and playing

audio, with its volume up.

Riptunes™ warrants this product against defects in

material and workmanship to the original purchaser as

specified below provided product is registered online

within fourteen (14) days of purchase.

PARTS – if the product is determined to

have a manufacturing defect, within a

period of one (1) year from the date of the

original purchase, Riptunes™ will repair or

replace the product parts at no charge (for

parts) to you in the U.S.A. and Canada.

LABOR – if the product is determined to

have a manufacturing defect, within a

period of ninety (90) Days from the date of

the original purchase, Riptunes™ will repair

or replace the product at no charge to you

in the U.S.A. and Canada, After ninety (90)

days it will be the responsibility of the

consumer.

Shipping costs to and from our warranty service center

is the sole responsibility of the consumer.

To obtain warranty service by an authorized Riptunes™

service center, please email us at: support@rip-

tunes.com to obtain a Repair and Maintenance

Authorization (RMA) number and to locate the service

center nearest you. Once authorized, you must mail

the product, to the authorized Riptunes™ service

center in its original product packaging materials or

equivalent, to prevent damage while in transit.

Further, should Riptunes™ determine that the product

is outside of the Warranty term, Riptunes™ will return

the product to sender at sender’s expense without

being repaired or replaced, unless authorized by the

consumer to service the out of warranty product at

consumer’s expense. All handling or restocking charges

for returns and/or replacements shall be non-

refundable.

Riptunes™ specifically excludes from this warranty any

non-electric/mechanical attachments, accessories and

disposable parts including but not limited to outside

case, connecting cables, batteries and AC adaptors.

Riptunes™ reserves the right to repair or replace

defective products with the same, equivalent or newer

models.

We reserve the right to either repair or replace

product at our discretion. Replacement may be either

new or refurbished and while every endeavor will be

made to ensure it is the same model, if same model is

not available it will replaced with a model of equal or

higher specification.

Normal “Wear and Tear” is not covered by this

warranty. Further, Riptunes™ hereby reserves the right

to determine “Wear and Tear” on any and all products.

Tampering or opening the product casting or shell, will

void this warranty in its entirety.

COMENZANDO

INSTALACIÓN DE LA BATERÍA (NO SE INCLUYEN LAS BATERÍAS)

Este reloj despertador utiliza 2 baterías AAA para respaldar la hora y

los ajustes de la alarma en el caso de un apagón. Estas baterías no son

para la operación diaria. El reloj debe estar conectado cuando se utilice.

Para instalar las baterías, abra el compartimento de las baterías en la

parte inferior del reloj despertador. Después, verifique que la polaridad

de las baterías, + -, sea la correcta al momento de colocarlas. Coloque

la tapa del compartimento de las baterías. Si el reloj despertador no se

va a usar por un periodo prolongado de tiempo, retire las baterías antes

de guardarlo.

AJUSTANDO LA HORA

1. Presione y sostenga el botón MEM hasta que los números parpadeen.

2. Presione los botones HOUR y MIN para ajustar la hora.

3. Presione el botón MEM para confirmar la hora.

4. Ajuste el año usando los botones HOUR/MONTH y MIN/DAY.

5. Presione el botón MEM para confirmar el año.

6. Ajuste el mes y día usando los botones HOUR/MONTH y MIN/DAY.

7. Presione el botón MEM para confirmar y salir.

BOTÓN SOURCE

El botón SOURCE/ALM OFF permite encender el reloj desperta-

dor. Al presionar repetidamente podrá navegar por los 4 difer-

entes modos: OFF (Standby) [Apagado, en espera] > FM > AM

> AUX. Cuando el reloj está en modo de espera. Permanecerá

en silencio hasta que suene la alarma, o hasta que se presione

el botón SOURCE para encender el reloj en los modos FM, AM

o AUX.

AJUSTANDO LA ALARMA

1. Presione y sostenga la alarma ALM1 por algunos segundos hasta que

los números parpadeen

2. Utilice los botones HOUR y MIN para ajustar la hora de la alarma

3. Presione el botón ALM1 para confirmar

4. Después, utilice los botones HOUR/MONTH y MIN/DAY para seleccionar

los días en que se activará la alarma. Seleccione una de las tres op-

ciones prestablecidas para los días:

• 1-5 Mon-Fri (entre semana de lunes a viernes)

• 1-7 Mon-Sun (todos los días de lunes a domingo)

• 6-7 Sat-Sun (fin de semana, sábado y domingo)

5. Presione nuevamente el botón ALM1 para confirmar

6. Ahora que ya se ha establecido la alarma, presione ALM1 para cam-

biar el sonido de la alarma entre Zumbido y Radio, o para desarmar la

alarma.

La alarma 2 se fija de la misma forma que la alarma 1, presionando el botón

ALM2 en lugar de ALM1.

REPETIR LA ALARMA O DESARMARLA

Cuando suene la alarma, puede presionar el botón ALM OFF para apagar la

alarma hasta el siguiente día, o puede presionar el botón SNOOZE para pausar

la alarma por 9 minutos. Puede mantener este estado de repetición durante 60

minutos.

ESCUCHANDO LA RADIO

1. Presione el botón SOURCE repetidamente hasta que en la pantalla

LED se muestre la radiofrecuencia AM o FM.

2. Sintonice la estación de forma manual al presionar los botones o

estación. Las estaciones con señal más débil deberán ser sintonizadas
