INTRODUCTION
The 10-2000GT XL Knee Kicker incorporates a number of new concepts and features to improve reliabilityand
performance. This is the first knee kicker to use computerized stress analysis to design components that
withstand the forces required to stretch today’s tougher carpet backings. A major advance in bumper pad
construction reduces shock to the knee. The new bumper was laboratory tested in a major Technical University
to measure knee impact shock and energy transfer to the head pins. The bumper pad has been submitted to the
U.S. Patent Office, and has a “Patent Pending” status. This bumper pad can be used on all Roberts kickers.
The GT2000 head is 28% wider than standard knee kickers, to provide a better grip and reduce stress
concentration on carpeting material. Instead of the usual three nap strips, there are now four! The GT2000
channel has a 12% greater cross section than traditional kickers for added strength, and thicker channel stops
maintain precise opening range and eliminate wear. Components for the knee kicker are precision die-cast
aluminum alloy, with extra thick walls.
LENGTH ADJUSTMENT
The GT2000 XL Knee Kicker adjusts from 18"to 22"in length to suit the user’s preference and job requirements.
To adjust the kicker, depress the steel trigger on the bottom of the body casting, and pull the bumper/channel
assembly to the desired setting.
MAKE SURE THE TRIGGER IS FULLY SEATED IN THE CLOSED “STOP” POSITION! MAKE SURE THE REAR PART
OF THE TRIGGER IS FLUSH WITH THE BODY CASTING. Test the security by pulling back and forth on the
bumper.
VERTICAL ADJUSTMENT OF PIN PLATE
The pin plate containing the large hardened steel pins can be adjusted by rotating the adjustment knob on the
kicker head. The knob has twelve positions, and the pins can be extended to 1/2"below the head casting. Use
the proper pin length suited to the carpet weight you are installing. For lighter carpeting, the nap strips are gen-
erally sufficient to engage the material, and the pin plate can be retracted to the full “up” position. Extend the
pins for heavy carpets with firm backing.
BUMPER
The new patent pending bumper is designed to reduce shock and injury to the knee. It has a progressively
dense material to gradually absorb shock. The bumper should be rotated occasionally to distribute wear by
removing the four Phillips head screws, and rotating the bumper 90 degrees. Do not continue to use a worn or
damaged bumper, as injury or discomfort could occur. Order a replacement bumper part number 10-2000-09
from your Distributor.
Note that all Roberts bumpers are interchangeable on all Roberts kickers.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
1. Remove lint and carpet pile from the nap strips with a small screwdriver blade from time to time to maintain
the gripping strength of the nap strips.
2. Apply light, white grease to the channel occasionally to keep it lubricated. REMOVE EXCESS GREASE with a clean
cloth.
3. The polished aluminum finish will oxidize and become dull after a period of time. Use an aluminum polishing
compound to restore the original shiny surface. Be sure to remove all polish after you finish. Wrapping your
kicker in a towel when not in use will help preserve the finish and prevent damage.

INTRODUCTION
Le coup de genou 10-2000GT contient de nombreux nouveaux concepts et caractéristiques pour améliorer sa
fiabilité et sa performance. Ce coup de genou est le premier à utiliser une analyse de la tension informatisée
pour créer des éléments qui résistent la puissance nécessaire pour étirer les endos de tapis les plus durs d’au-
jourd’hui. Une importante amélioration de la construction de coussin-amortisseur de choc réduit le choc aux genoux.
Le nouveau coussin a été testé aux laboratoires d’une grande université technique pour mesurer l’impact de choc aux
genoux, et le transfert d’énergie de la tête de picots. Le coussin-amortisseur de choc a été présenté à l’Institut national
de la propriété industrielle des É.-U., et est en statut de « Brevet en Cours d’Homologation ». Ce coussin-amortisseur
de choc peut être utilisé avec tous les coups de genou de Roberts.
La tête du GT2000 est 28% plus large que les coups de genou ordinaires, pour assurer une meilleure prise et
réduire la concentration de tension sur le tapis. Au lieu des trois bandes de poils communs, il y en a quatre main-
tenant ! La rainure du GT2000 a une section d’orifice 12% plus grand que les coups de genou ordinaires pour
plus de force, et une rainure d’arrêts plus épaisse maintient une gamme d’ouverture précise et réduit l’usure. Les
éléments du coup de genou sont faits d’alliage d’aluminium moulé, avec des parois très épaisses.
RÉGLAGE DE LA LONGUEUR
Le coup de genou GT2000 s’ajuste de 46cm à 56cm en longueur pour convenir aux préférences de l’utilisateur
et aux conditions de travail. Pour régler le coup de genou, faites baisser le déclencheur en acier en bas du corps
moulé, et tirer l’assemblage du coussin/rainure jusqu’à la position désirée.
ASSUREZ-VOUS QUE LE DÉCLENCHEUR EST BIEN EMPLACÉ DANS LA POSITION FERMÉ « STOP » !
ASSUREZ-VOUS QUE LA PARTIE ARRIÈRE DU DÉCLENCHEUR EST AFFLEURÉ AVEC LE CORPS MOULÉ. Testez
la sécurité en tirant sur le coussin en aller-retour.
RÉGLAGE VERTICAL DE LA PLAQUETTE À PICOTS
La plaquette à picots qui contient les grands picots trempés en acier peut être réglé en tournant la poignée de
réglage sur la tête de coup de genou. La poignée à douze positions, et les picots peuvent être rallongé jusqu’à
13mm en dessous de la tête moulée. Utilisez les longueurs de picots appropriées pour le poids de tapis dont
vous allez installer. Pour les tapis plus légers, les bandes de poils sont généralement suffisantes pour engager le
matériel, et la plaquette à picots peut être retiré à la position « UP ». Rallongez les picots pour les tapis lourds
avec des dos fermes.
AMORTISSEUR DE CHOC
Le nouvel amortisseur de choc avec brevet en cours d’homologation est conçue pour réduire le choc et les bles-
sures au genou. Le matériel d’épaisseur progressive absorbe graduellement le choc. L’amortisseur de choc doit
être tourné de temps en temps pour distribuer l’usure en enlevant les quatre vis cruciforme, et en tournant
l’amortisseur de choc en angle de 90 degrés. Ne continuez pas à utiliser un amortisseur de choc usé ou abîmé,
étant donné que blessure ou douleur peut se produire. Commandez de votre distributeur une pièce de rem-
placement d’amortisseur de choc numéro 10-2000-09. Notez que tous les amortisseurs de choc de Roberts sont
interchangeables avec tous les coups de genou de Roberts.
SOIN ET ENTRETIEN
1. Enlevez de temps en temps les peluches et les velours du tapis des bandes de poils avec une petite tige de
tournevis pour maintenir la force de prises des bandes de poils.
2. Mettez occasionnellement de la légère graisse blanche sur la rainure pour le garder lubrifier. ENLEVER
L’EXCÈS DE GRAISSE avec un chiffon propre.
3. La finition en aluminium brillant va s’oxyder et deviendra terne avec le temps. Utilisez une pâte pour polir
l’aluminium pour restaurer la brillance originale de la surface. Assurez-vous de nettoyer toute la pâte pour
polir après avoir fini. Emballez votre coup de genou dans une serviette quand vous ne l’utilisez pas pour
conserver sa finition et éviter qu’il s’abîme.
