Anschlüsse
Um Störungen vorzubeugen, lassen Sie zwischen Empfänger und der
Empfängerantenne mehr als 2 cm Abstand zum Regler und dessen
Verkabelung.
Befestigen Sie den Fahrtenregler immer mit doppelseitigem Klebeband.
Fahrtenregler werden sehr heiß und können anders befestigt sich leicht lösen.
Verwenden Sie am Motor immer Entstördioden um Störungen zu vermeiden.

Lassen Sie niemals ihr Fahrzeug mit eingeschaltenem Regler
unbeaufsichtigt. Das Fahrzeug könnte unkontrolliert losfahren oder
Feuer verursachen.
Niemals mehr als 7 Zellen (8.4V) verwenden.
Verpolen Sie den Fahrtenregler nicht. Benutzen Sie verpolsichere
Stecksysteme. Isolieren Sie alle Kabel und Verbindungen um
Kurzschlüsse zu vermeiden.
Ist der Regler am Motor angeschlossen, niemals den Motor mit einem
separaten Akku laufen lassen. Dies zerstört den Regler!
Schalten Sie immer zuerst die Fernsteuerung und dann den Regler
ein. Umgekehrt könnte ihr Fahrzeug unkontrollierbar werden und
Verletzungen oder Sachschäden verursachen.
Vermeiden Sie blockierende Räder oder Motoren.
Berühren Sie niemals die Kühlkörper nach dem Betrieb. Diese werden
extrem heiß!
Nicht für Kinder unter 14 Jahren geeignet. Kein Spielzeug.


Bevor Sie mit dem Setup beginnen, kontrollieren Sie nochmals ob der Fahrtenregler im
korrekten Empfängerkanal steckt, die Fernsteuerung auf Neutral eingestellt ist und der
Schalter des Fahrtenregler ausgeschalten ist.
1) Schließen Sie den Akku am Empfänger an, schalten Sie die Fernsteuerung an und
danach den Fahrtenregler.
2) NEUTRAL EINSTELLUNG: Lassen Sie den Gashebel in der
mittleren Position. Drücken Sie die Setuptaste bis die grüne LED
zu blinken beginnt. Lassen Sie die Setuptaste nun wieder los.
3) VOLLGAS EINSTELLUNG: Bewegen Sie den Gashebel auf die
Vollgasstellung bis die rote LED leuchtet. (Motor arbeitet nicht
bei der Setup Einstellung)
4) RÜCKWÄRTS EINSTELLUNG: Bewegen Sie den Gashebel
jetzt auf maximale Bremse bzw. Rückwärtsgang bis beide
LEDs leuchten.
5) ABS BREMSE: Gehen Sie mit dem Gashebel wieder zurück auf Neutral. Die grüne LED
blinkt kurz. Danach beginnen beide LEDs für 3 Sekunden abwechselnd zu blinken.
  ABS Bremse aktivieren: Bewegen Sie den Gashebel entweder auf Vollgas oder auf
Max. Bremse, während die LEDs blinken, danach gehen Sie wieder auf
Neutralstellung. Die rote LED blinkt einmal auf, um die ABS-Bremse zu bestätigen.
b) ABS Bremse deaktivieren: Lassen Sie den Gashebel auf Mittelstellung, während die
LEDs leuchten. So wird keine ABS Bremse aktiviert.
6) Der Fahrtenregler ist nun für den Betrieb bereit. Die grüne LED sollte leuchten.
7) Sollte der Motor in die falsche Richtung drehen, müssen Sie die beiden Motorkabel unter
einander vertauschen.

Der SPEEDSTAR2 Fahrtenregler besitzt 3 voreingestellte Powerprogramme. Damit läßt
sich die Verzögerung bei Vollgasstellung verändern, welche bei rutschigen Bedingungen ein
Durchdrehen der Räder verhindert. Für griffigen Untergrund und maximale Power wählt man
eine kurze Verzögerung.
POWERPROGRAMME EINSTELLUNG:
1) Die Fernsteuerung sollte auf Neutralstellung stehen. Drücken Sie die Setuptaste für 3
Sekunden. Die grüne LED blinkt kurz auf, gefolgt von einem Blinken der roten LED.
Lassen Sie die Setuptaste los und wählen Sie eines der 3 Programme aus:
  Nach einer Sekunde blinkt die rote LED einmal. Drücken Sie die Setuptaste einmal um
das Programm mit   einzustellen. Das ist die Standardeinstellung für
normale und griffige Strecken.
  Nach zwei Sekunden blinkt die rote LED zweimal. Drücken Sie die Setuptaste einmal
zur Bestätigung für das Programm mit .
  Nach drei Sekunden blinkt die rote LED dreimal. Drücken Sie die Setuptaste einmal für
das Programm mit  . Diese Einstellung ist für rutschige Strecken
geeignet.

Der SPEEDSTAR2 Fahrtenregler besitzt eine einstell-
bare Unterspannungsbegrenzung, um NiCd/NiMH und LiPo Akkus
einsetzen zu können.
Folgen Sie diesen Schritten um den Modus zu ändern:
1) Bewegen Sie nicht den Gashebel der Fernsteuerung. Drücken und
halten Sie die Setuptaste für 5 Sekunden. Die grüne und rote LED
blinkt.
Lassen Sie die Taste los und wählen Sie zwischen den zwei
Einstellungen aus:
Nach einer Sekunde leuchtet die grüne und rote LED einmal.
Drücken Sie die Setuptaste, wenn Sie den Modus für  Akkus
verwenden möchten.
b) Nach zwei Sekunden leuchtet die grüne und rote LED zweimal.
Drücken Sie die Setuptaste, wenn Sie den Modus für 
Akkus verwenden möchten (Standardeinstellung).

Dieser Fahrtenregler besitzt eine Temperaturüberwachung, die den
Regler vor Überlastungen schützt und eine Beschädigung verhindert.
Wenn die Temperatur 100°C übersteigt schaltet sich der Fahrtenregler
ab und die beiden LEDs blinken. Wenn die Temperatur wieder in einen
normalen Bereich abgesunken ist, kann der Regler wieder in Betrieb
genommen werden. Die LEDs wechseln wieder in den normalen
Anzeigemodus.


Die Elektronik ihres SPEEDSTAR2 Fahrtenregler ist durch eine spezi-
elle Behandlung gegen Spritzwasser und Staub geschützt.
Vermeiden Sie wenn möglich trotzdem den Kontakt des Fahrtenreglers
mit Feuchtigkeit und Schmutz. Sollte ihr Fahrtenregler einmal nass
geworden sein, lassen Sie ihn bis zur nächsten Verwendung sicher-
heitshalber trocknen.


To avoid radio interference please mount the speedcontrol with a gap of
minimum 2cm (3/4") to the receiver and the antenna wire.
Mount the speed control firmly with double sided tape so that it does not
loosen when it gets hot.
Always use the provided capacitors on the motor to avoid radio interference.

Do not leave your model unsupervised while a battery is connected
or it is switched on. The model could come out of control and can
cause damage or fire.
Do not use batteries with more than 7 cells (8,4V).
Do not connect a battery with reversed polarity as this will damage
the speed control. Always use reverse polarity protected connectors
and protect all wires from short circuits.
When the speed control is connected to the motor, do not power the
motor with an additional battery. This will damage the speed control!
Always switch your radio on first and then the speed control.
Otherwise the model could come out of control and could cause
damage.
Avoid blocked wheels and motors as this would cause very high
currents and heat dispasion.
After a run the heatsink of your speedcontrol could be very hot. Do
not touch the heatsink!
Not suitable for children under the age of 14. This is not a toy.


Please make sure that all connections are wired correctly,the speed control is OFF and the
radio is in neutral position.
1) Switch the radio on, connect the battery to the speedcontrol and then switch the
speedcontrol on.
2) NEUTRAL SETTING: Leave the throttle trigger in the neutral
position, press and hold the setup button until the green LED
begins to flash then release the button.
3) FULL THROTTLE: Now move the throttle trigger to the full
throttle position. The red LED should now light up. (The motor
will not run in the setup process!)
4) FULL REVERSE: Then move the throttle trigger to the full
reverse position. The red and green LED will light up.
5) ABS BRAKE: Move your throttle trigger back to
neutral position. The green LED will flash a view times and
then both LEDs will flash alternately.
  Activate ABS brake: While the LEDs are flashing alternately, move your throttle trigger
either to full throttle or to full reverse. Then move it back to neutral position. The red
LED will flash to show ABS brake is activated.
b) Deactivate ABS brake: Still let your throttle trigger on neutral position. This will deac
tivate the ABS brake.
6) Now the green LED should light up. Your speed control is ready to run.
7) If the motor runs in wrong direction you have to reverse the motor cables.

Your SPEEDSTAR2 speed control has 3 factory set power programs. These power programs
set a delay on full throttle and avoid spinning wheels on slippery track conditions. If you have
high grip conditions and want full power choose the shortest delay.
POWER PROGRAM SETTING:
1) Leave the throttle trigger of your radio in neutral position. Then press and hold the setup
button as long as the  flashes.
Release the setup button and choose one of the 3 following settings:
  After one second the red LED flashes one time. If you want the power program with
 delay press the setup button now. This is the factory default
setting of the speedcontrol.
  After two seconds the red LED will flash 2 times. If you press the setup button now,
you choose the power program with a delay of .
  After three seconds the red LED will flash 3 times. Press the setup button now, if you
want to have the power program with a delay of .
If you don't pressed the button, the speedcontrol begins again with the first point (a).

Your SPEEDSTAR2 speed control has an adjustable undervoltage
protection for using it with NiCd/NiMH or with LiPo batteries.
To change the battery setting please follow these steps:
1) Leave the throttle trigger of your radio in the neutral position. Then
press and hold the setup button until the  
  flashes.
Release the setup button and choose one of the 2 following
setings:
After one second both LEDs will flash one time. Press the setup
button now to use the setting for  batteries.
b) After two seconds both LEDs flash two times. Press the setup
button now to use the setting for  batteries. This is
the factory default setting of the speed control.

Your SPEEDSTAR2 speed control has a built in overtemperature pro-
tection system. This system prevents the speed control from overload
and avoids damage to it. If the temperature inside the speedcontrol
reaches 100°C (212°F) the protection system switches the motor off
and shows its function with both LEDs flashing. When the temperature
reaches normal values the speed control will switch back on.


coating which makes it resistant against water and dust.
While it is water and dust resistant, please avoid excessive water and
dust contact as this will lead to failure. If it does come in contact with
water please let it dry thoroughly before using it again.

