One thing today’s A/V systems have in common is a plethora of music to choose
from. With its 12 system source inputs and 8 local source inputs, the System12
(S12) gives you all the music you want, anywhere you want it.
DVDs, DSS and TIVO. PVRs, DVRs, VCRs and CCTV cameras… the same holds true
for video – and the S12, with its on-board 16x16 video switching capabilities, allows
you to view them all independently on TVs, monitors and touch panels throughout
the home.
One S12 gets you all of the above in 8 zones. Add a second S12 for 16 zones; a third
for 24 zones; and even a fourth for a 32 zone whole-house A/V entertainment system.

The ELAN Equation
System12 is the culmination of years of ELAN
experience in the design and perfection of multi-
source/multi-zone controllers. Incorporating the
features and reliability that has made ELAN the
premiere manufacturer of multi-room A/V products,
the S12 is our most powerful and flexible multi-
room controller to date.
12 Sources...
No other multi-zone controller accommodates
more sources than the S12. With most systems now
including multiple satellite receivers, tuners, CDs,
DVDs, and multi-output Digital Music Servers, the
S12 has enough inputs to accommodate them all.
...Plus 8
The S12 also features 8 local source inputs, allowing
you to place “private” audio/video sources in each
zone (i.e. a CD player in the master bedroom), and
use that room’s keypad or touch panel to control it.
And High-Def Video Too!
Capable of routing both composite and component
video throughout the home, the S12 provides the
ultimate in video switching flexibility. Route up to
16 composite video sources to 16 different TVs,
monitors or touch panels; or up to 5 component
video sources to 5 high-definition TVs or monitors
anywhere in the home.
8, 16, 24 or 32 Zones
Plus, get the best in expandability. One S12 allows
you to distribute up to 12 A/V sources (plus four
extra video sources) into eight zones. Rear panel
expansion ports automatically route IR and RS485
data to additional units. Add a second, third or
fourth S12 to create 16-, 24- or 32- zone systems.
Features Galore
The S12 has all the features a custom installer looks
for in a multi-room controller, including 12 source-
specific IR outputs, 2 IR All ports, 6 sense inputs,
8 zone trigger outputs, a system trigger output, an
external IR input, source leveling and an RS-232
control port. There’s also bass/treble EQ, dynamic
range compression and Do-Not-Disturb for each
zone.
