Side Stretcher (4). Fig. 1. Attach one Non-Locking
Swivel Caster (7) to the bottom of the Left Leg (5)
and one Locking Swivel Caster (8) to the bottom
of the Right Leg (6) using 3/4" Caster Nuts (9).
2. Starting with the upper left corner, fasten the Left

3. Move to the upper right side and fasten the Right
Leg (6) and the Upper side Stretcher (2) with a
5/16-18 Bolt (10) and 5/16-18 Nut (11), using the
hole closest to the inside corner of the leg. Fig. 3.
4. Move to the lower left side and fasten the Left Leg (5)
to the Lower Side Stretcher (4) with a 5/16-18

Fig. 5.
6. Leave this side assembly on the floor or bench.
Repeat steps 1-5 on the remaining legs and
side stretchers.
To make assembly easier, begin by
installing 1 bolt per connection. Once all pieces are
connected, square the rack and finish by installing
and remaining bolts and tighten securely.

2. Place the carpenter’s square on the top edge of the

edge is against the edge of the Left Leg (5) and adjust
the assembly as needed. Fig. 13. Do the same
procedure for the opposite corner.
3. Using a sliding T-bevel or adjustable angle finder,
square the side of the rack. Fig. 14. The upper
angle should roughly measure 100°, and the lower
angle should roughly measure 80°. The important part
is that the opposing angles are as close to each other
as possible.
4. Once the Pack Rack®is square, go around every
corner and install all of the remaining 5/16-18
Bolts (10) and 5/16-18 Nuts (11).
5. Slide the 5/8" Clamp Rods (12) into the holes along
the legs (5 and 6) and secure with Retainer Clips (13).
Fig. 15.
6. The Shelf Hooks (14) are attached to the underside
of a shop-made shelf using #8 wood screws or a
machine screw and nut for added stability. Fig. 16.
The bottom of the Pack Rack®is designed to accept a
shop-made shelf with cut corners to be dropped into
