Sie haben mit dem Kauf dieser RODEK Komponente eine
exzellente Wahl getroffen. RODEK Subwoofer basieren auf
Entwicklungs-Knowhow, welches oft für neue Bestmarken
im angestammten Preisbereich sorgt. Beide RODEK RN-
BR Modelle sind Bassreflextypen, ausgestattet mit grosser
Resonatorquerschnittfläche, für hohen Endschalldruck ohne
störende Luftverwirbelungen.
Diese Subwoofer setzen aus klanglichen Gründen auf CNC
gefräste Gehäuse aus MDF, mit zusätzlicher Innenverstrebung
und sind mit RW10 oder RW12 Woofern von RODEK bestückt.
Lesen und befolgen Sie die nachfolgende Installations- und
Bedienungsanleitung genau, um das Klang- und Leistungs-
potential dieser Car-Hifi Komponente voll auszuschöpfen,
bzw. bewahren Sie diese Bedienungsanleitung für allfällige,
vielleicht erst später auftauchende Fragen auf.

Plazierung ➞Anschluss ➞Einstellungen
Ihr RODEK Subwoofer ist für die Plazierung im Kofferraum
ausgelegt. Das Anschlussterminal ermöglicht schnelles Ent-
fernen des Sub, wenn zusätzliche Ladefläche benötigt wird.
Einstellungen am Lowpass der Aktivweiche des Subwoofer-
Amps oder des Headunits sollten erst erfolgen, nach dem
alle Klangregler an Ihrem Headunit wie z.B. Treble, Bass und
Loudness in die neutral oder Nullstellung gebracht wurden.
Ihr Bandpass Subwoofer benötigt ein Tiefpass gefiltertes
Signal mit einer Flankensteilheit von 12dB/Oktave für ein
klangliches optimales Resultat.
➞Schliessen Sie das Lautsprecherkabel Ihres Sub-Amps am
Terminal des Subwoofers an.
➞Stellen sie die Tiefpassfrequenz des Basskanals auf ca. 80
Hz. Drehen sie den Lautstärkeregler am Headunit etwa ein
Drittel auf.
➞Drehen Sie das Poti für die Eingangsempfindlichkeit des
Basskanals soweit auf, dass sich ein guter und ausgewo-
gener Basspegel ergibt.
➞Drehen Sie die Lautstärke des Headunits zurück und
testen Sie durch Umpolen des Lautsprecherkabels am
Subwooferterminal aus, mit welcher Anschlusspolarität
sich mehr Bassfülle einstellt.
Der letzte Punkt – das Austesten der akustisch phasenrichtigen
Polung Ihres Subwoofers ist äusserst wichtig, weil sich bei
einer der beiden Anschlussvarianten im Übergangsbereich
um 80 Hz eine Auslöschung der Schallanteile einstellt. Wenn
sich sich die Schallanteile im Übergangsbereich aber addieren,
klingt der Subwoofer trockener und satter.

Garantie-Einschränkungen
Nicht unter Garantie fallen Schäden infolge von:
1. Überlastung der Lautsprecher durch zu hohe oder verzerrte Verstärkerleistung etc.
2. schädlichen Einwirkungen von übermäßiger Feuchtigkeit, Flüssigkeiten, Hitze,
Sonneneinstrahlung oder übermäßiger Verschmutzung.
3. mechanischer Beschädigung durch Unfall, Fall oder Stoss; Schäden durch nicht
autorisierte Reparaturversuche oder nicht durch den Hersteller ausdrücklich
autorisierte Modifikationen.
GARANTIEBESTIMMUNGEN
Die Garantie dieses Produkts bleibt in jedem Fall
auf die Reparatur bzw. den Ersatz (Entscheidung
beim Hersteller) des jeweiligen RODEK-Produkts
beschränkt. Schäden durch unsachgemäße Ver-
packung oderTransportschäden werden nicht durch
diese Garantie gedeckt. Jeder über diese Garantie-
Erklärung hinausgehende Anspruch und jede
Haftung für direkte oder indirekte Folgeschäden
werden ausdrücklich abgelehnt.
Aus rechtlichen und Sicherheitsgründen kann der Betrieb der LED Beleuchtung der RN Bassreflex Subwoofer bei fahrendem
Fahrzeug verboten sein. Um nicht mit bestehenden gesetzlichen Richtlinien in diversen EU Ländern in Konflikt zu kommen
empfehlen wir, die LED Stromversorgung an die Innenraumbeleuchtung des Kofferraumes anzuschliessen.

You have purchased one of the finest car-audio trunk box
subwoofers available today. RODEK ported subwoofers are
engineered and manufactured to set new benchmarks of bass
performance and technical reliability.
Both RN-BR models deploy ported cabinets with large cross
section slot ports for port noise free operation and high SPL.
Both box models use cabinets made of MDF with internal
cross bracing and are equipped with RW10 or RW12 woofers.

Placement ➞Connection ➞Settings
Basically, your trunkbox subwoofer is designed to be placed
in the trunk compartment of your car. The terminal binding
posts allow quick and easy installation or removal of the trunk
box – if necessary.
Only start doing adjustments of the amps or headunits
lowpass filter or the input gain, after setting „treble“, „bass“
and „loudness“ controls on the head unit to neutral/zero
position.
Your bandpass subwoofer needs a low-pass filtered signal
with 12dB/oct. slope for best sound quality.
➞Connect the speaker wire of your subwoofer amp channel
terminal of the subwoofer system.
➞Set the lowpass crossover frequency of the channel(s)
driving the sub to approx. 80 Hz.
➞Increase the input gain of the subwoofer channel, until bass
output is full sounding and loud enough.
➞Turn down the volume and try both electrical in-phase and
out-of-phase polarity connections to find the one giving
you more bass quantity and quality.
„In-phase“ connection of your subwoofer is critical – if your
sub plays out of phase, the output at the crossover frequency
region will be depressed due to cancellation effects.
Thus one connection polarity will give you a „fuller“ and more
dynamic bass reproduction in the 80Hz range.

This warranty does not cover any damage due to:
1. Speaker overload due to excessive or distorted amplifier power etc.
2. Exposure to excessive humidity, fluids, heat, direct sunrays or excessive dirt
or dust.
3. Accidents or abuse, unauthorized repair attempts and modifications not
explicitly authorized by the manufacturer
WARRANTY CONDITIONS
This warranty is limited to the repair or the replace-
ment of the defective product at the manufacturer´s
option and does not include any other form of da-
mage, whether incidential, consequential or other-
wise.
This warranty will not cover any loss during trans-
portation, transport costs or any other damage
caused by transport or shipment of the product.
For safety and legal reasons, it might be prohibited using the box illumination while operating a car. Restrictions may apply
in certain countries. For making sure to follow all national requirements and not to distract drivers attention, we recommend
connecting the box illumination to the interior light of the trunk.
