2.4 Mass (weight:
Max. flight mass (with water ballast): 525 kg <1157 lbs.>
Max. flight mass without water ballast: Wmax= Wnlp + Wwings
Max. mass of non-lifting parts Wnlp: 230 kg <507 lbs.>
Wnlp with TN 4046/4047 executed (water bags removed or
water bags marked V112) : 250 <551 lbs.>
Note: If required, the max. mass of non-lifting parts may be increased according
to maintenance manual LS4 issued May 2011 section 2.2.1 item 2 and tables in
section 2.4. This is not valid if TN4049 neo-Winglets has been performed.
The term “non-lifting parts” includes the following:
 Fuselage with permanently installed instruments, canopy and
main pins
 Cockpit load
 Horizontal tail
Tail fin ballast does not count for “non-lifting parts”, but for max. all-
up mass.
Caution: With TN4045 (winglets) executed, the max. mass and the max. mass
of the non-lifting parts are reduced by 10 kg (22 lbs.). The max. amount of water
ballast is limited to 100 kg (220 lbs.)
Water ballast in the wings (depending on loading conditions and
ballast bag size): max. 100 kg <220 lbs.>
or max. 160 kg <353 lbs.>

Max. mass in baggage compartment: 5 kg <11 lbs.>
Loading instructions see page 4-6
Max. mass of all instruments panel installations: 6.7 kg <14.8
lbs.>
Warning: If C.G. weighing had been performed with a tail fin battery – see
entry on page 6-1/2 -, then the battery must always be carried in the vertical fin.
