The new Safe-T-Scope® STSK4630 utilizes a ush-mounted condenser microphone with an integrated
2" speaker to relay the sound environment behind the vehicle when the vehicle shifts into reverse. The
loud 2" speaker and sensitive condenser microphone combination allows the driver to hear audible
warnings of potential obstructions or persons behind the vehicle, and the variable speaker volume
allows for ne-tuning of the system. The STSK4630 kit features a weather-proof microphone designed
to withstand harsh weather and regular vehicle cleaning.

SPEAKER INSTALLATION
The STSK4630 speaker is designed to attach to any surface convenient for transmission of environ-
mental audio to the operator. Please use the .23" diameter screw holes on the mounting lobe. No.
12 screws are recommended for proper t. Please exercise caution when mounting to the vehicle.
Be sure to use screws or bolts of appropriate length and material for the mounting location you have
chosen.
• Once the monitor is mounted, if necessary, drill a 1" diameter hole near the speaker through
which to pass the microphone connection cable and power connections. Be sure to clear any
obstacles before drilling holes.
• Connect the black wire of the power harness to chassis ground. Connect the red wire to an igni-
tion switched accessory (ex. radio) power source.
• Connect the green trigger wire to the vehicle's reverse signal circuit. Do NOT connect trigger to
any constant power source. Connect the STSH441 extension cable to the 4-pin connector on the
speaker harness.
• Connect the STSA1019 microphone to the STSH441 extension cable.
• All connections should be completely hidden from the vehicle operators. The harness should be
tied/clamped to a rigid structure or rigid existing vehicle harness.
• Adhere to a 2 inch bend radius for all cables to prevent damage.
FUEL TANKERS & OTHER SPECIALTY VEHICLES:
• All electrical equipment tted to petroleum vehicles must be connected via battery master switch
and must be isolated from the battery while the vehicles are loading and unloading. For other
specialty vehicles, please check applicable codes and regulations prior to installation.
• Always consult your dealer when adding any electrical or electronic equipment to a vehicle tted
with a CAN-bus multiplex system.

MICROPHONE INSTALLATION
EX. MICROPHONE INSTALLATION
1. Select a location away from the exhaust
to reduce excess noise in the microphone.
2. Once the location for the microphone is
chosen, drill the mounting hole to the inside
of the vehicle using a 61/64 size drill bit. Be
sure to clear any obstacles before drilling
the hole.
3. Place the rubber grommet into the hole,
ensuring a snug t.
4. Insert the microphone wire and micro-
phone body through the grommet and
mount securely in place.
5. To nalize the camera installation, hand-
tighten the provided locking ring to the
back of the microphone on the inside of the
vehicle.
