1 • How to assem le the Appliance
Unpack your applianc and throw away any tags attach d. Mak sur to k p your guarant and r ad th
instructions car fully b for using th applianc for th first tim .
• R mov th scr w from th n ck and l av th nut in its plac .
• Fix th n ck by car fully ins rting it in th upp r portion of th main body (fig.1).
• Ins rt th locking scr w (7) into th n ck and scr w it tightly using th tool provid d with th applianc (fig.2).
• Fix th D lta vacuum h ad (11) by locking it into plac in th low r portion of th main body (fig.3).
• Fix th dust tray on th main body of th applianc (fig 19).

2 • Charging the attery
IMPO TANT: Us only th original charg r provid d with th applianc . Do not charg th applianc
at t mp ratur s low r than 32ºF (0ºC) or high r than 104ºF (40°C). Using a univ rsal charg r will
automatically invalidat th guarant .

Before you use your vacuum cleaner for the first time, you must charge the battery completely
(for about 12 hours)
Whil th batt ry is b ing charg d, th Stop/Start button must b in th Stop position (2.a)
• Plac th vacuum cl an r n ar an l ctric pow r point.
• Plug th charg r in and conn ct it to th vacuum cl an r using th sock t locat d at th back of
th n ck (fig.5).
• Th charg signal (4) locat d at th front of th main body will light. L av th vacuum cl an r
to charg . Onc th charg cycl is compl t d (aft r about 12 hours), th light charg signal will
turn off automatically.
Th vacuum cl an r can stay conn ct d to th charg r p rman ntly, without any hazard. K p in
mind, how v r, that if you d cid to k p th charg r conn ct d it might b com slightly hot. This
would b a compl t ly normal ph nom non.
It is advisabl to charg th vacuum cl an r imm diat ly aft r ach us in ord r to always hav it
availabl with a fully charg d batt ry. Thus, you will gain th maximum b n fit from its cl aning
and autonomous p rformanc functions. How v r, in cas you plan to b abs nt for a long p riod
of tim (on vacation, for xampl ), it is advisabl to unplug th charg r for, in this cas , th
autonomous p rformanc function could b diminish d du to automatic pow r loss.
3 • Turning on the appliance
Unplug th charg r cord from th vacuum cl an r. If th charg r r mains conn ct d to both th
pow r point and to th applianc , th latt r will not function. Hold th vacuum cl an r by th
handl and slid th Stop/Start button downwards, towards on of th two following sp ds (fig.6):
• « Min » : Us d to vacuum cl an thick or d licat rugs and carp ts (2.b), as w ll as fragil surfac s.
Pl as not : always mak sur that th wh ls locat d at th back of th bas ar cl an.
• « Max » : Us d for optimum vacuum p rformanc on all floor typ s, and in cas of strong dirt
marks (2.c).

USING THE ELECTRO-BRUSH
Th l ctro-brush is a rotating, motoriz d brush that guarant s maximum cl aning ff ctiv n ss
by allowing th applianc to suck up dirt and cl an in d pth. Th bristl s, locat d all along th
brush, r mov thr ads, hair and fur that might b caught on th surfac of rugs and carp ts.
Pl as not : If th vacuum h ad adh r s too clos ly to th surfac you ar cl aning, chang th
sp d to « Min ».
ATTENTION: Do not vacuum larg fragm nts of brok n obj cts, as th y could block and damag
th brush. Do not us th l ctro-brush on long hair carp ts, on animal fur, or on fring s.
REMOVING AND CLEANING THE ELECTRO-BRUSH
ATTENTION: Always turn off th applianc and unplug it b for storing or cl aning.

Using th tool provid d with th applianc (15), pr ss in th two latch s locat d on ach sid of th
low r sid of th D lta h ad (fig.7). Lift th trap locat d on top of th l ctro-brush (fig.8). R mov th
l ctro-brush and its lat ral b aring in ord r to cl an th m (fig.9). Car fully r mov any thr ads, hair,
fur, tc. from th l ctro-brush. Onc cl an, r plac th l ctro-brush and its lat ral b aring (fig.11),
th n r plac th trap ov r it (fig.12). Finally, using th tool provid d with th applianc , clos both
latch s (fig.13).
FOR YOUR SAFETY
• Do not touch any rotating parts b for you turn off and unplug th vacuum cl an r.
• Do not us th applianc on w t surfac s.

ELECTRO-BRUSH MALFUNCTION
The electro-brush does not function properly or makes an unusual sound
• Eith r th rotating brush or th axis is block d: turn off th applianc and cl an th m.
• Th brush is worn out: visit an authoriz d S rvic C nt r in ord r to hav th brush chang d.
• Th b lt is worn out: if th b lt mak s nois , it m ans that it is slipping b caus it’s worn out. Visit
an authoriz d S rvic C nt r in ord r to hav th b lt chang d.
The electro-brush stops while you are vacuuming
• Th th rmal s curity f atur has b n activat d: Turn off th vacuum cl an r by moving th
Stop/Start button to th Stop position (2.a) and unplug it. Ch ck to s if any solid obj ct is blocking
th rotation of th brush. If this is th cas , r mov th obj ct and cl an th l ctro-brush (fig.10),
th n you may k p using th vacuum cl an r.
The electro-brush moves with difficulty
If you find that your vacuum cl an r slid s with difficulty along surfac s, progr ssiv ly r duc th
sp d until you r ach th « Min » position (2.b). If th probl m p rsists, tak your applianc to th
authoriz d Row nta S rvic C nt r n ar st to your hom .

4 • Storage
Aft r us , turn off your vacuum cl an r by moving th Stop/Start button to th Stop position (2a). Now
you may stor your applianc v rtically wh r v r you lik , thanks to th parking position.
To plac th vacuum cl an r in th parking position: Plac th n ck v rtically in ord r to block th
applianc .
To continu using th vacuum cl an r: Tak it by th handl and mak it swing backwards in ord r to
unblock it and l av th parking position.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
IMPO TANT: Always turn off th applianc and unplug it b for storing or cl aning.
1 • Cleaning the dust tray (9)
1.a Fast emptying
Wh n v r th dust tray is full, mpty it as follows: r mov th tray by sliding it downwards (fig.14),
plac it ov r a bin and pr ss th “Push” button in ord r to op n th trap and mpty th tray’s cont nts
(fig.15). Clos th trap (fig.16) and r plac th dust tray on th main body of your applianc (fig.19).

1.b Complete cleaning procedure
It is advisabl to cl an th dust tray r gularly.
• R mov th dust tray (fig.14), th n s parat ach of its compon nts (9).
• R mov th foam rubb r motor prot ction filt r (9c).
• Plac th dust r c iv r (9a), th dust filt r (9b) and th lid (9d) und r warm wat r (fig.20); th n l t
th m stand to dry or dry th m with a dry cloth.
• Wash th foam rubb r motor prot ction filt r (s paragraph 2).
• Onc th compon nts of th dust tray ar all dry, r ass mbl th m; do th sam with th xtra
foam rubb r motor prot ction filt r (9c) provid d as a suppl m nt with your applianc .
• Clos th dust tray and r position it on th main body of your applianc (fig.19).
2 • Cleaning the foam ru er motor protection filter (9c)
ATTENTION: N v r us your vacuum cl an r without th foam rubb r motor prot ction filt r.
In ord r to maintain th high p rformanc l v l of your applianc , do not vacuum ultra-fin
substanc s such as plast r, c m nt or ash s, and cl an th foam rubb r motor prot ction filt r at
l ast onc a month. If you p rc iv that your vacuum cl an r is p rforming und r r gular av rag
l v l, w r comm nd that you cl an th foam rubb r motor prot ction filt r mor fr qu ntly.
• R mov th dust tray lid (9d) and th n r mov th foam rubb r motor prot ction filt r (9c) (fig.21).
• Cl an th foam rubb r motor prot ction filt r (9c) with warm, soapy wat r.
Rins and l t dry for at l ast 12 hours b for r placing th filt r on th applianc (fig.22).
IMPORTANT: In order to assure optimal motor protection, make sure that the foam rubber filter
is completely dry before replacing it on the appliance. You will need to let it dry for at least 12
hours before reinserting it into the dust tray. An extra foam rubber motor protection filter is
provided with your vacuum cleaner so that you may use the appliance while the first filter is
still drying.

in an automatic dishwash r.
3 • Vacuum cleaner care and maintenance
Wip th main body of th applianc with a soft, damp cloth; th n dry it with a dry cloth (fig.23).
IMPO TANT: Do not us d t rg nts, or aggr ssiv or abrasiv products. Th transpar nt color
of th dust tray and/or of th s parator lid may chang with tim ; how v r, this will not modify
th p rformanc of th applianc .

2 • Throwing away the appliance
It is important that you r mov th batt ri s b for throwing away your applianc . In ord r to do this,
visit an authoriz d S rvic C nt r or proc d as follows: disconn ct th applianc from th l ctricity
n twork, dismount th n ck from th main body r moving th c ntral scr w, and th n r mov th fiv
(5) ass mbly scr ws locat d at th back of th n ck (fig.24). Car fully lift th upp r cov r of th n ck
and unscr w th two l ctric circuit scr ws, th n unplug th batt ry block by pulling th plug (fig.25).
Do not throw th batt ry bloc into th wast bin; tak it to th authoriz d Row nta S rvic C nt r
n ar st to your hom or to a plac sp cially d signat d to proc ss such typ of wast .
ENVI ONMENT
