lntroduction
Thank you for choosing this Royale appliance. lt has been
designed to give excellent results and performance provided
it is installed, operated and maintained correctly.
Please read these instructions carefully before installing or
using your appliance. lt is advisable to keep your purchase and
installation receipts with these instructions in a safe place for
future reference. lncluded is some important safety information
in addition to guidelines and recommendations that will enable
you to take full advantage of all the functions available.
This quality appliance has been tested and certified to meet'all
- applicable UK electrical and safety standards.
This appliance must be installed and connected in
accordance with current regulations by a qualified
electrician.
After unpacking the appliance ensure that there is no visible
damage. lf the appliance has been damaged during transit, do
nolusej-t, contact your retailer immediately.

Section 1. lnstallation
Remove all packaging, securing tape and any stickers/labels
from the appliance.
Do not use abrasive cleaners on this appliance.
Please note that certain parts of this appliance have been
protected with a light film of oil. During initial use you may
see light smoke coming from the oven and grill as the oil is
burnt off. This is quite normal.
When operating the appliance a clearance of at least 1Ocm
should be left on all sides in order to ensure adequate air
circulation.
Do not place or store heavy items on the top of this appliance.
Ensure that the appliance is positioned on a firm flat surface.
Connect the plug to an adjacent 13amp socket outlet and ensure
that the appliance is not standing on the supply cable.

Section 2. Safetv Advice
- Please read this booklet thoroughly before installing and
switching on the appliance. The manufacturer accepts no
responsibility for incorrect installation and usage.
- This appliance has been designed for Domestic Use Only.
- The appliance is not intended foi use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledgen unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their
safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do
not play with the appliance.
- lf using an adaptor, this must be used in accordance with the
manufacturers instructions and ensure that the electrical circuit is
not overloaded as this could cause overheating.
- Do not twist or bend the cables, and keep them away from hot
surfaces.
- Do not plug in or unplug this appliance with wet hands.
- Following installation make sure that the power cable is not
trapped underneath the appliance.
- The hotplates and interior/exterior surfaces of this appliance get
verv hot during use and take some time to cool down after use.
- This appliance is a cooker, it should not be used for any other
purpose.
- ln addition to the supplied interior oven tray and rack you should
only use oven-proof plates or dishes for cooking food.
- Do not place cardboard, paper or plastic inside the oven - this
could cause a fire. We do not recommend that you use metal foil
inside the oven, this can cause overheating.
- Always use protective oven gloves when removing the oven
trays, plates or dishes from the oven - thev will be very hot!
- Never place anything on the oven door glass - Hot or Cold
dishes could cause the door glass to shatter!

Section 3. Operating the Appliance
3.1. Switching on the Appliance
- Plug in the appliance and switch on at the mains supply.
- Ensure that there is adequate ventilation around the appliance.
- Ensure that the appliance is level.
- Please note that the appliance will not operate unless the Timer
(B) has been activated. The Timer can be set for a maximum of
60 minutes. (For details of the control knobs, see Section 3.4.
Oven and Hotplate Controls on Page 7.
- Please note that certain parts of this appliance have been

3.2. Operating the Oven/Grill (Please read in conjunction with Section 3.4.)
- Turn the Oven Control (7) to the required function, position 1:
Grillffop Heat, position 2: Bottom Heat, position 3: Top & Bottom
Heat.
- Turn the Temperature Control (5) to the required setting
- Turn the Timer (B) to the required setting. Turning the control knob
to the right will activate the timer and a cooking time of up to 60
minutes may be selected.
- The Timer indicator liqht (6) will illuminate whilst the timer is
ooeratinq.
When you have finished cooking/grilling, make sure that the
Timer is back in the off position and the Timer indicator light is
off.
The Grilling function should be carried out with the OVEN DOOR
CIosed,

3.3. Operating the Hotplate (Ptease read in conjunction wirh Section 3.4.)
- Turn the Hotplate Control (3) to the required function, position 1:
Large Hotplate, position 2: Small Hotplate, position 3: Large &
Small Hotplate. - the Hotplate indicator liqht (4) will iiluminate
whilst the hotplate function control is operatinq.
- Turn the Timer (B) to the required setting. Turning the.control knob
to the right will activate the timer and a cooking time of up to 60 '
minutes may be selected.
- The Timer indicator liqht (6) will illuminate whilst the timer is on.
- When you have finished using the hotplate(s), make sure that the
Timer is back in the off position and the Timer & Hotplate
indicator lights are off.

3.5. Normal Operating Sounds
You may hear expansion and contraction sounds as the appliance
heats up and cools down - this is quite normal. You may hear a ticking
sound from the Timer whilst it is operating - this is quite normal.
3.6. Energy Saving Advice
Locate the appliance in a well-ventilated room and make sure
that the air vents are clear.
Ensure that the door is kept closed whilst cooking (open when
grilling).
Ensure that the temperature control (5) is set to the required
temperature
When you have finished using the appliance, ensure that the
Timer (B) is turned to the 'Off' position and unplug the
appliance from the wall socket.

Section 4. Maintenance
Before any maintenance or cleaning work is carried out,
DISCONNECT the appliance from the ELEGTRIGITY supply and
ensure that the appliance is completelv cool.
4.1. lnternal Cleaning
Clean the interior and accessories with warm soapy water or
bicarbonate of soda (5ml to 0.5 litre of water). Rinse and dry
thoroughly. Do not use abrasive powders, highly perfumed cleaning
products, wax polishes or cleaning products containing bleach or
alcohol.
4.2. External Cleaning
Wash the outer cabinet with warm soapy water. Do NOT use abrasive
products. There may be sharp edges on the underside of the product,
so care should be taken when cleaning.
Clean the sealed hotplates with warm soapy water or a specialist hob
cleaner. Do not use harsh abrasives, caustic cleaners or sharp objects
to clean the hotplate surfaces.
4.3. What to do if something goes wrong
There is no power to the appliance:
- Check there is not a power cut
- Check there is power to the electric sockeUappliance
- Check the fuse in the plug (Must be 13 amp)
The hotplates do not operate:
- Have you set the timer?
- Has.the Hotplate Control been set to the correct function?
The oven and grill will not operate:
- ls the temperature control set to the required temperature?
- Have you set the timer?
- Has the Oven Control been set to the correct function?
lf after the above checks ihere is still a fault please contact your retailer.
