1 Web-based Configuration
1.1 Overview
A user accesses the Web-based management system by using a browser (for example, IE browser) to manage the AP
device.
Web-based management involves two parts: Web server and Web client. A Web server is integrated onto a device to
receive and process requests sent from a client (for example, read a Web file or execute a command request) and returns
the processing result to the client. Generally, a Web client refers to a Web browser, for example, IE browser.
1.2 Configuration Environment Requirements
Requirements for Client
An administrator login in to the Web-based management system by using the Web browser on a client to manage the
device. Generally, a client refers to a PC. It may also be other mobile terminal devices, for example, a laptop.
Browser: IE7.0, IE8.0, IE9.0, IE10.0, IE11.0, Google chrome, Firefox, and some IE kernel-based browsers (for
example, Maxthon) are all supported. Exceptions such as messy code and format error may occur when other
browsers are used.
Requirements for Server
The Web service must be enabled for the AP device.
Login authentication information for Web-based management must be configured for the AP device.
A management IP address must be configured for the AP device.
1.3 Default Configuration
The following table lists the default configuration of the Web management system.

Associated STA information
To make MTFi SIM cards dial up 3G/4G network successfully, please refer to section 5.3.
5 Network Settings
Changing or saving the network setting will cause the restart of the related network interface or service.
5.1 Interface
You can add, edit or delete an interface in this section.

5.3 SIM Card Configuration
5.3.1 APN Configuration
MTFi maintains an APN list in this section in where you are able to add, edit and delete a carrier’s APN information. The
APN information including APN, username, password, MCC and MNC is usually required for SIM card 3G/4G dialing up.
By default, some countries mobile carriers’ APN information is embedded in the list.
Please check if the inserted SIM cards carriers’ APN information records already exist in the list. If yes, please click Edit to
check if the default built-in information such as APN, username, password, MCC, MNC etc. is accurate. Modify any if
necessary. If there is no record in the list, please click Add APN to create a new APN record for your SIM cards.
If there is any change of the record, such as modifying the record or adding a new record, please reboot the device to make
the related changes effective
Usually, after you input the accurate APN information and reboot the device, the SIM cards should dial up successfully.
The information such as APN, User Name, Password, MCC, and MNC can be usually fetched from the carrier. The other
fields should be kept by default in most cases like the following. Modify them only when you know the correct setting:
Authentication Type: BOTH
Network Standard: 3GPP

Network Type: 3G4G
Switch-over Time: 0
IP: 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4 and/or some others the carriers provide
5.3.2 SIM Work Mode
You can decide which work mode you want the dual SIM cards to work in. Currently MTFi supports active-standby mode.
Active-standby: One SIM card works as active link and the other is standby by default. The RSSI Difference Threshold
can be set as required. When the two SIM cards signals difference exceeds the value, all the in/out data flow will be
switched to only the stronger signal data link.
Load Balance: Two SIM cards work as both active links by default. Min RSSI configures the minimum RSSI for each SIM
card, which allows them work in active-active mode. The RSSI Difference Threshold can be set as required. When the
two SIM cards signals difference exceeds the value, working mode will be switched to active-standby mode, all the in/out
data flow will be switched to only the stronger signal data link.

5.6 Advanced
In this section, you can set the uplink/downlink speed limit, which controls the max throughput per associated STA.
You can also manage the access white/black list.
You are able to add ACS URL which links the device with MACC or your private cloud management center.

14
You can modify the static routing.
There is a troubleshooting section which is used for collecting error information and share for further diagnosis.
To enable MTFi to be online in MACC, please input ACS URL in Advanced > CWMP > ACS URL. The URL is in the format
of ‘http://[MACC IP and Port]/ service/tr069servlet’ by default, you can also set up the periodic inform interval between MTFi
and MACC.

5.7 System
The system time and password can be set here. Backup, upgrade, reset, and restart functions are located in this section.
For system upgrade, it is recommended to process the upgrade every time without keeping the old settings.
5.8 Local Content Update*
*Only for the models with SSD.
Some models of MTFi series support using USB flash to update local content. The USB flash should be formatted into FAT,
NTFS or EXT file system. USB flash drive can contain multiple partitions, while the updating process only scans the first
partition.
Updating Steps:
1) Create or obtain from Ruijie for ‘web’ folder, which content are MTFi local media resource. Copy this ‘web’ folder into
the root directory of the USB flash drive.
2) Create a file named ‘web.conf’ in the USB flash drive first partition root directory, and input the local media resource
file folder name in web.conf, which is ‘web’ in this example.
3) Save all files, input USB flash drive into MTFi, starts updating. The updating is finished after the system LED stop
flashing quickly.
