FAQ
1: What should I do if there are no lights on?
A: Make sure you have connected the power cable to the back of
the ryfi unit. This needs to be plugged into a standard wall
outlet. Wait 1-2 minutes for the system to boot.
2: What should I do if there is no internet coming from the ryfi?
A: Make sure that the main modem in the house has an active
internet signal. Make sure that you have the network cable
plugged into both the ryfi and the main internet modem.
3: How do I control the ryfi?
A: Download or update. the latest app appropriate to your mobile device.

PACKAGE CONTENTS
Hardware Setup
ryfi Status Light
Your ryfi unit has a blue light on the back (aka LED). This light has 4
modes for you to understand its operating status.
1 - OFF - If the LED is off, there is no power to the unit.
2 - SLOW BLINK - If there is a slow blink, that means the device is
connected with an active internet signal.
3 - FAST BLINK - if the blinking is fast, that means the device is on
but you have no internet connection.
4 - SOLID ON/NO BLINK - CAUTION. The ryfi is updating its
firmware, do not power off or it may damage your device.
Congratulations on your purchase of ryfi. This system is
designed for parents to replace bad habits (like too much screen
time) with good habits (like reading a book for 30 minutes). We
believe that giving kids a simple reward along with the choice of
good habits is a great place to start.

Here’s what’s in the box:
1 - Setup ryfi within 5 feet of your internet source (“modem”)
2 - Plug in power cable to the back of the ryfi and to the plug.
3 - Plug in the network cable into the back of the ryfi and to the
Internet Modem.
CAUTION: IF THE LED IS SOLID AND NOT BLINKING, DO NOT
UNPLUG YOUR DEVICE! IT NEEDS TO FINISH UPDATING.
Software Setup
1 - Download the latest ryfi app from your mobile app store
(search for ryfi) or visit ryfi.co for links.
2 - Using the app, setup a parent’s account. You will need a ryfi
ID number in the back of this manual.
3 - The app will guide you in setting up profiles for each of your
kids.
