Supervision & Security
When used in accordance with this guide and assembly instructions, a Voyager Compact
can provide a safer temporary sleeping area for those who would be unsafe in a room with
hard surfaces.
The Voyager Compact provides a sturdy yet soft, exible space for the person using it,
which will reduce the risk of injury from hard surfaces. The Voyager Compact is designed
for occasional use, e.g. holidays and respite care and not as a permanent installation. It may
not be suitable for tall children and adults if their behaviour is extremely boisterous. If this
is the case, please contact us for advice.
The Voyager Compact is not a substitute for supervision. The same level of supervision
and security should be applied as the individual using the Voyager Compact would require
in any room. The Voyager Compact cannot remove the risk of injury completely and as
such, we cannot be held responsible for accidents. Adequate and appropriate supervision
must be provided at all times.
Unsupervised access to the outside of the Voyager Compact should not be permitted.
Because an individual’s size, mobility & abilities can change over time, regular assessment
is needed to make sure that the product continues to meet the needs of the user.
Asssembly
Follow the assembly instructions closely. Put the Voyager Compact up at home before you
intend to use it for the rst time. This will help you & the person who is going to use it become
familiar with the product.
