Fine instruments in every respect, all Special Edition Maestro
violins feature the very best and rarest woods, and are superbly
handcrafted by extraordinarily skilled luthiers whose goal is to
produce a perfect instrument every time.
At the top of Cremona’s Maestro Series is a re-creation of the
legendary Hellier Strad. The Hellier is the most famous of
Antonio Stradivari’s inlaid violins. Originally purchased by Sir
Samuel Hellier in the early 18th century directly from the
Master, the instrument eventually passed to Mr. H.E. Morriss, a
Shanghai newspaper publisher. Fortunately, Mr. Morriss took
the Hellier with him to England before World War II; after World
War II, Morriss saw all of his Shanghai possessions confiscated
by the revolutionary functionaries of Mao Zedong and put on
display as plunder. The original Hellier is presently in the
Smithsonian in Washington, D.C.

The Beginning:
When we set out, more than twenty five years ago, to meet the needs
of students, parents and teachers for affordable, high quality, violin
family instruments, our ultimate goal was to increase the number
of people who make music on bowed instruments.
We know how important the quality and accessibility of a first
instrument are in determining who gets a chance to play, who
succeeds and who quits in frustration. This has resulted in our
continuous efforts to eliminate the 2 biggest deterrents to a
beginner’s success: high cost of getting started and poorly made
instruments and bows that lead to frustration and failure. In the
process, Cremona became a market leader among the world’s
most popular and respected violin lines.

We developed innovations in design, materials and manufacturing
methods that resulted in the finest combination of features available

The translucent, warm brown finish, painstakingly applied in multiple,
thin coats, allows the beauty of wood and craftsmanship to shine
through — fostering pride in the student.
• Bows: J.LaSalle LB-13 Series Octagonal Bows
Bows with octagonal sticks are generally easier to play because
they are stiffer, with better control and response, than equivalent
bows with round sticks. These are rarely available to students.
We changed that. The J.LaSalle LB-13 Series Bows feature high
quality octagonal Brazilwood stick, ebony frog, quality fittings and
genuine unbleached white horsehair. Balance, response and overall
playability are excellent.

Our exclusive, state of the art, Travelite®TL-35 violin cases are
best-sellers. The customized version, TL-33, is available exclusively
on Cremona Student Violin & Viola Outfits. This precision-engineered,
full-suspension, wood-reinforced, archtop, structural foam case
features padded black luggage-grade nylon exterior, soft beautiful
padded interior, large accessory pockets inside & out, hygrometer,
2 ribbon-backed bow holders, zip closures, velcro neck stabilizer,
comfortable handle and carry straps. It is light weight, durable,
easy-to-carry, stylish and it transports your instrument safely.
Cremona Student Cello Outfits come with Travelite®TL-20.

Sizes 1/8-1/16 are for tiny tots. Durable, lightweight, easy to carry,
instrument protection is mandatory. Our custom Featherweight®
