SAFETY AND CAUTION
To ensure that the device provides you with long-term satisfaction and enjoyment, please observe the
following instructions.
This device is connected to the mains with the AC cord. To completely disconnect the power input,
pull out the mains plug of the device from the mains.
The device and the mains plug should not be obstructed or should be easily accessed during
intended use.
It is recommended to avoid using or storing the device at extremes of temperature. Only use the
device in moderate climates.
The device and the mains plug should not be exposed to water (dripping or splashing), steam, heat
(heater or direct sunlight) and sand.
No objects filled with liquids such as vases, and no naked flame sources such as lighted candles
shall be placed on the device.
It is recommended minimum 10cm distances around the device for sufficient ventilations.
The ventilation should not be impeded by covering the ventilation openings with items such as
newspaper, tablecloths, curtains etc.
In case of malfunctions occur due to electrostatic discharge; reset the unit by reconnecting the
power source to resume normal functions.
OVERVIEW
Keys and Controls
1. ON/OFF Switches the device on and off.
2. SLEEP/NAP Activates the setting for the sleep timer.
Activates the setting for the reminder timer.
3. MEM/TIME Saves radio stations to presets.
Activates the time setting.
4. ALARM 1 Activates the setting for alarm 1.
5. ALARM 2 Activates the setting for alarm 2.
6. DISPLAY Switches the display between the radio frequency/station name and
the time with week day.
In standby mode, views the alarm times.
7. COLOUR Switches between eight different colours for the display backlight.
8. DIMMER Adjusts the brightness of the display to one of three levels or OFF.
9. RDS/WEC Switches between different RDS station information bulletins in radio
mode.
Switches the alarm standby off for the weekend.
10. SNOOZE Interrupts the alarm function.
11. TUNING For tuning the radio stations manually.
Press and hold to start the automatic station search.
12. - PROG + Selects the next or previous preset.
13. VOLUME Control dial for volume control.
14. Headphone jack for connecting a headphone or earphone with a jack
plug (Ø3.5mm) on the side of the device.

POWER SUPPLY
Mains operation
Check if the mains voltage on the type plate (on the bottom of the device) corresponds to your local
mains supply. If not, consult your dealer or service organization.
1. Plug the mains plug into the mains socket.
Caution:
In order to disconnect the device from the mains completely, the mains plug should be removed from the
mains socket completely.
Back-up batteries
During mains operation, the back-up batteries ensure that stored settings are not lost in the case of a
power failure or when the device is briefly disconnect from the mains.
1. Open the battery compartment on the bottom of the unit by sliding the cover in the direct of the
arrow.
2. Insert two batteries (2 x 1.5V, Type LR03 / UM-4 / AAA size) with the correct polarity as shown in the
battery compartment.
3. Replace the cover.
Caution:
Do not expose the batteries to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.
Remove the batteries from the device when they will not be used for a long period of time.
Notes:
Batteries should not be disposed of by incineration and with household waste. Disposable batteries
should be taken to a suitable recycling centre if possible.
SETTINGS
Using the device for the first time
When the device is connected to the mains for the first time, an automatic station search starts. Stations
are automatically saved to the presets. At the end of the search a demo program starts. To end the demo
program, press the >ON/OFF< button to switch on the device. The station saved on Preset 1 can be
heard.
If the device receives a station that transmits an RDS time signal, the time and the week day are set
automatically (RDS time synchronisation). This process may take a few minutes to be completed.
If the station could not execute the automatic station search as well as the automatic time/week day
setting due to poor reception conditions, for example, it may be necessary to relocate the device to a
position giving better reception, or you may also have to select a different station or make the settings
manually.
Setting the time
1. Switch the device to standby mode.
2. Press and hold down the >MEM/TIME< button until the hour digits flash on the display.
3. Press the > TUNING < button to set the hour, and press the >MEM/TIME< button to confirm.
–Display: the minute digits flash.
4. Press the > TUNING < button to set the minute, and press the >MEM/TIME< button to confirm
and finish the time setting.
–Display: the current time.
SETTINGS
Setting the week day
1. Switch the device to standby mode.
2. Press and hold the >SNOOZE< button, at the same time, use the > TUNING < button to set
the day of week.
3. Release the >SNOOZE< button to finish the setting.
–Display: the current time.
4. Press the > TUNING < button to set the minute, and press the >MEM/TIME< button to confirm
and finish the time setting.
–Display: the current time.
Deactivating and activating RDS time synchronisation
1. Switch the device to standby mode.
2. Deactivate RDS time synchronisation by pressing the >MEM/TIME< button briefly. The display
shows “CT OFF”.
3. To activate RDS time synchronisation, press the >MEM/TIME< button briefly. The display shows “CT
ON”.
If the RDS time signal can be received, the time and the day of week are updated after switching on
the device.
Resetting the device
If malfunctions occur due to brief mains overloads or static electricity charges, reset the device. Any
stored settings are retained.
1. When the device is switched on, press the >RESET< button at the bottom of the device by using a
paper clip.
Notes:
If you wish to delete the stored settings, pull out the mains plug and remove the back-up batteries. Re-
connect to the mains again after a short period of time; all stored settings will then be deleted.

GENERAL OPERATION
Switching on and off
1. Switch on the device from standby mode by pressing the >ON/OFF< button.
2. Press the >ON/OFF< button again to switch the device to standby mode.
Adjusting the volume
1. Adjust the desired volume with the >VOLUME< control dial.
Setting the brightness of the display backlight
1. Repeatedly press the >DIMMER< button to change the brightness of the display from High, Mid,
Low or Off.
Notes:
In addition, the Auto Dimmer function ensues that the brightness of display is adjusted automatically to
suit the brightness of the surroundings.
Setting the colour of the display backlight
1. Select the backlight colour (8 colours) by repeatedly pressing the >COLOUR< button.
Listening with headphones or earphones
1. Connect the headphone or earphone to the headphone jack (Ø3.5mm).
–This switches off the loudspeakers.
Warning:
Excessive sound pressure from earphones and headphones can cause hearing loss.
RADIO MODE
For the best FM reception it is sufficient to align the wire antenna accordingly.
1. Switch on the device from standby mode by pressing >ON/OFF< button.
The last station listened is activated. If it is the first time to use the device, the radio station stored in
Preset 1 is played.
2. Select the stored preset stations with the > - PROG + < button.
Automatic station search
1. Press and hold the > TUNING < button until the frequency display changes to rapid run-
through forwards or backwards.
The search stops when a station is found.
Manual station search
1. Press the > TUNING < button briefly to move the frequency up or down in 50 kHz steps.
Storing stations as presets
A maximum of 20 stations can be stored in the presets.
1. Tune to the station you want to store.
2. Press the >MEM/TIME< button to activate the memory function
3. Press the > - PROG + < button to select the desired preset number.
4. Press the >MEM/TIME< button again to store the station.
5. To store more stations, repeat Step 2 to 4.
Notes:
If stations are already stored in the presets, they are overwritten when new stations are stored.
If the device is disconnected from the mains, all saved stations will be deleted unless you have inserted
back-up batteries.
Switching the display
1. In radio mode, switch the display between the time/day and frequency/station name by pressing the
>DISPLAY< button.

RADIO DATA SYSTEM (RDS)
RDS information
RDS is an information system which is transmitted additionally by most FM stations. If the device
receives a RDS station, the station name will appear briefly in the display and the symbol > <
is shown on the display constantly. It may take some time before all RDS information is available.
Searching for RDS stations
1. Search for the desired RDS station by pressing the > - PROG + < button repeatedly until the
symbol > < is shown on the display and a RDS station is received.
RDS time synchronisation
RDS stations usually transmit a RDS time signal. If the reception is good, the time information will
update the time, the symbol > < will flash on the display. After successful time synchronisation, the
symbol remains constantly on the display.
Time synchronisation can take several minutes, and even with good reception the accuracy depends on
the time signal being transmitted. The automatic setting is always activated if the device is switched on
from standby to radio mode and a suitable RDS station can be received.
Radio text
The radio text is RDS information.
1. Press the >RDS/WEC< button. The radio text will show on the display.
If no radio text is available, the display will show “NO TEXT”.
Displaying the current programme type
1. Press the >RDS/WEC< button twice to view the current programme type.
If no programme type identification is available, the display will show “NO PTY”.
Searching for programme types (PTY)
The RDS function enables you to search radio stations according to the programme type. A total of 31
programme types have been defined.
1. Press the >RDS/WEC< button repeatedly until the desired programme type, e.g. “NEWS” is shown.
2. To start the search in the desired direction, press the > TUNING < button.
If a radio station with the desired programme type is found, the corresponding station can be heard.
If no station can be found, the display will show “NO MATCH” and the last listened station will be
played.
Notes:
The search can be interrupted with the > TUNING < button.
ALARM MODE
The device has an alarm function which can be set to wake you to signal tone or radio. You can set two
different times, and the alarm duration is 90 minutes.
Setting the alarm time
1. Press and hold the >ALARM 1< or >ALARM 2< button until the hour digits flash on the display.
2. Press the > TUNING < button to set the hour, and press the >ALARM 1< or >ALARM 2<
button to confirm.
–Display: the minute digits flash.
3. Press the > TUNING < button to set the minute, and press the >ALARM 1< or >ALARM 2<
button to confirm and finish the alarm setting.
–Display: the current time.
Viewing the alarm time
1. In standby mode, repeatedly press the >DISPLAY< button to view the time of Alarm 1 and 2.
Activating the alarm
Alarm with signal tone
1. Switch the device to standby mode.
2. Repeatedly press the >ALARM 1< or >ALARM 2< button until the symbol > < or > <
shown in the display.
Notes:
When the alarm goes off, the volume of signal tone increases gradually from minimum until the maxi-
mum volume is reached.
Alarm with radio
1. Switch on the device from standby mode.
2. Select the radio station.
3. Set the desired volume of the alarm by the >VOLUME< control dial.
4. Repeatedly press the >ALARM 1< or >ALARM 2< button until the symbol > < or > <
shown in the display.
5. Press the >ON/OFF< button to switch the device to standby.
Interrupting the alarm
1. During the alarm is sounding, press the >SNOOZE< button.
–The alarm signal stops.
–The alarm goes off again at 5-minute intervals (overall alarm duration is 90 minutes).
Cancelling the alarm for the day
1. Press the >ON/OFF< button when the alarm is sounding.
–The alarm stops and it retains the set time for the next day.
Deactivating the alarm
1. To deactivate the alarm, repeatedly press the >ALARM 1< or >ALARM 2< button until the symbol
>
< or > < disappears on the display.
Deactivating/Activating the alarm for the weekend
1. In standby, press the >RDS/WEC< button. The alarm function is deactivated for the weekend
2. To activated the alarm for weekend, press the >RDS/WEC< button again.

SLEEP TIMER
The device can be set to turn off after a preset time has elapsed. The sleep setting can be adjusted
between 10 and 90 minutes in 10-minute intervals.
This function cannot be activated when the device is switch on.
Setting the sleep timer
1. Switch on the device from standby mode.
2. Repeatedly press the >SLEEP/NAP< button to select the sleep time in 10-minute intervals.
–The symbol > < is shown on the display.
3. You can press the >SLEEP/NAP< button to view the remaining time until switch-off.
The device will switch off automatically after the preset sleep time has elapsed.
Cancelling the sleep timer
1. To cancel the sleep timer and switch off the device before the chosen sleep time has elapsed, press
the >ON/OFF< button.
or
To cancel the sleep timer, but keep listening to the radio, press the >SLEEP/NAP< button repeatedly
until the display shows “SLEEP 00” and the symbol > <disappears.
REMINDER TIMER
The device can be set to remind you after a certain time between 10 and 120 minutes in 10-minute
increments with a signal tone.
This function cannot be activated when the device is in standby mode.
Setting the reminder timer
1. Switch the device to standby mode.
2. Repeatedly press the >SLEEP/NAP< button to select the reminder time in 10-minute increments.
3. You can view the remaining reminder time by pressing the >SLEEP/NAP< button briefly.
Cancelling the reminder timer
1. To cancel the reminder timer by pressing the >ON/OFF< button.
Notes:
The signal tone can be interrupted by pressing the >SNOOZE< button. The signal tone goes off again at
5-minute intervals (overall alarm duration is 90 minutes)

VEILIGHEID EN VERWITTIGINGEN
Gelieve, teneinde te garanderen dat u gedurende vele jaren plezier van uw toestel zult hebben, de
volgende instructies te volgen.
Dit toestel wordt aan de netstroom verbonden via een stroomkabel. Om het toestel volledig van de
stroom af te schakelen moet de stroomkabel uit het stopcontact gehaald worden.
Het toestel en de stekker mogen niet weggestopt zijn en moeten direct bereikbaar zijn.
Het is afgeraden het toestel in extreme temperaturen te bewaren of te gebruiken. Gebruik alleen
maar bij normale temperaturen.
Het toestel en de stroomdraad mogen niet blootgesteld worden aan water (druppels of spatten),
stoom, warmte (radiatoren of direct zonlicht) en zand.
Plaats geen objecten gevuld met water zoals een vaas en geen open vlam, zoals een kaars boven
het toestel.
Voor een goede ventilatie diens minstens 10 cm vrije ruimte rond het toestel gehouden te worden.
De ventilatieopeningen van het toestel mogen niet geblokkeerd worden door zaken zoals een krant,
tafelkleed of gordijnen.
In geval van slechte werking wegens elektrostatische ontlading, de stekker uittrekken en daarna het
toestel terug inschakelen.

VOEDING
Controleer of de spanning die op het plaatje (op de onderzijde van het toestel) aangeduid is over-
eenkomt met die van u thuis. Als dat niet het geval is, consulteer uw dealer.
1. Steek de stekker in het stopcontact.
Opgelet:
Om het toestel volledig van de stroom af te schakelen moet de stroomkabel uit het stopcontact gehaald
worden.
Back-up batterijen
De back-up batterijen dienen om ervoor te zorgen dat de ingestelde gegevens niet verloren gaan in
geval van een stroompanne of wanneer het toestel gedurende korte tijd uit het stopcontact getrokken
wordt.
1. Op het batterijencompartiment op de onderzijde van het toestel door de klep in de richting van de
pijl te duwen.
2. Plaats twee batterijen (2 x 1.5 V, Type LR03/UM-4/AAA) en hou rekening met de polariteit zoals in
het batterijencompartiment aangeduid.
3. Sluit het compartiment.
Opgelet:
Stel de batterijen niet bloot aan overdreven hitte zoals zonlicht en een vuur.
Haal de batterijen uit het toestel als het gedurende lange tijd niet gebruikt wordt.
Opmerkingen:
Lege batterijen mogen niet met ander huishoudelijk afval verwijderd worden. Breng deze naar een
inzamelpunt voor recyclage.
INSTELLINGEN
Het toestel voor de eerste maal gebruiken
Als het toestel voor de eerste keer aan de netstroom wordt aangesloten, start een automatisch zender-
zoeksysteem. De zenders worden automatisch in de geheugens opgeslagen. Bij het einde van het
zoeken start een demoprogramma. Om het demoprogramma te beëindigen, druk op ON/OFF om het
toestel in te schakelen. De zender die in geheugen 1 opgeslagen is wordt weergegeven.
Als het toestel een zender ontvangt die een RDS tijdsignaal meestuurt, worden de tijd en de dag au-
tomatisch ingesteld (RDS tijdsynchronisatie). Dit kan enkele minuten duren.
Als het toestel het automatisch zoeken naar zenders en de automatisch tijdinstelling niet kon voltooien
wegens slechte ontvangst, verplaats het toestel dan naar een andere locatie waar wel goede ontvangst
wel mogelijk is. Of selecteer een andere zender met handmatige instelling.
Instellen van de tijd
1. Zet het toestel in stand-by.
2. Hou de MEM/TIME toets ingedrukt totdat de urenindicatie op de display knippert.
3. Druk op de TUNING toets om het uur in te stellen en druk op de MEM/TIME toets om te
bevestigen.
- Display: de minutenindicatie knippert.
4. Druk op de TUNING toets om de minuten in te stellen en druk op de MEM/TIME toets om te
bevestigen en de tijdinstelling te beëindigen.
- Display: de huidige tijd.

INSTELLINGEN
Instelling van de weekdag
1. Zet het toestel in stand-by.
2. Hou de SNOOZE toets ingedrukt en gebruik tegelijkertijd de TUNING toets om de weekdag in
te stllen.
3. Laat de SNOOZE toets los om de instelling te beëindigen.
- Display: de huidige tijd.
Activeren en deactiveren van de RDS tijdsynchronisatie
1. Zet het toestel in stand-by.
2. Deactiveer de RDS tijdsynchronisatie door kort op MEM/TIME te drukken. De display toont ‘CT
OFF’.
3. Om de RDS tijdsynchronisatie te activeren, druk kort op MEM/TIME. De display toont ‘CT ON’. Als
het RDS signaal ontvangen kan worden, worden de tijd en de weekdag automatisch juist gesteld na
het inschakelen van het toestel.
Herinstellen van het toestel
Als het toestel niet goed werkt door korte stroomstoten of statische elektrische ontladingen, dient het
heringesteld te worden. Dit gebeurt zonder verlies aan gegevens.
1. Terwijl het toestel ingeschakeld is, druk met bv. een paperclip op RESET op de onderkant van het
toestel.
Opmerking:
Indien u alle opgeslagen gegevens wil verwijderen, trek de stekker uit het stopcontact en verwijder de
back-up batterijen. Steek het toestel na een korte tijd terug in het stopcontact. Alle vroegere instellingen
zijn dan verdwenen.
ALGEMENE BEDIENING
In en uitschakelen
1. Schakel het toestel vanuit stand-by in door op de ON/OFF toets te drukken.
2. Druk op de ON/OFF toets om het toestel in stand-by te zetten.
Regeling van het volume
1. Regel het volume met de VOLUME knop.
Instelling van de helderheid van de displayverlichting
1. Druk verschillende malen op DIMMER om de helderheid te kiezen tussen Hoog, Medium, Laag of
Uit.
Opmerking:
Bovendien zorgt de Auto Dimmer Functie ervoor dat de helderheid van het display automatisch aange-
past aan de lichtomstandigheden van de omgeving.
Instelling van de kleur van de displayverlichting
1. Selecteer de kleur (8 kleuren) door verschillende malen op de toets COLOUR te drukken.
Luisteren met hoofdtelefoon
1. Sluit de hoofdtelefoon aan op de telefoonaansluiting (Ø 3.5mm)
- Dit schakelt de luidsprekers uit.
Verwittiging:
Via hoofdtelefoon luisteren aan een hoog volume kan het gehoor schade toebrengen.

RADIO
Voor de beste FM-ontvangst is het aangeraden de draadantenne goed te richten.
1. Schakel het toestel uit stand-by in door op de ON/OFF toets te drukken.
De laatste gekozen zender wordt geactiveerd. Indien het toestel voor het eerst ingeschakeld wordt,
wordt de voorkeuzezender 1 geactiveerd.
2. Kies de andere zenders met de PROG toets.
Automatisch zenderzoeken
1. Hou de TUNING toets ingedrukt totdat de frequentieweergave snel voorwaarts of achterwaarts
begint te lopen.
Het zoeken stopt wanneer er een zender gevonden is.
Handmatig zenderzoeken
1. Druk kort op de TUNING toets om de frequentie in stappen van 50 kHz te doen toenemen of
afnemen.
Zenders in het geheugen plaatsen
Er kunnen maximaal 20 zenders in het geheugen opgeslagen worden.
1. Stem af op de zender die u wil vastleggen.
2. Druk op MEM/TIME om de geheugenfunctie te activeren.
3. Druk op PROG om het gewenste geheugennummer te kiezen.
4. Druk opnieuw op MEM/TIME om de zender vast te leggen.
5. Om meerdere zenders vast te leggen, herhaal punten 2 tot 4.
Opmerkingen:
Als er zich al zenders in het geheugen bevinden, worden deze door de nieuwe zenders overschreven.
Als het toestel van de netstroom losgekoppeld wordt, verdwijnen alle zenders uit het geheugen tenzij u
back-up batterijen geïnstalleerd heeft.
Wisselen van display
1. Terwijl de radio werkt, druk op DISPLAY om te wisselen tussen de weergave van de tijd/dag en de
frequentie/zender.
RADIO DATA SYSTEM (RDS)
RDS informatie
RDS is een informatiesysteem dat door de meeste FM-stations meegestuurd wordt. Als het toestel een
RDS zender ontvangt, verschijnt de zendernaam op de display evenals het symbool
> <. Het duurt een tijdje alvorens de RDS informatie beschikbaar is.
Zoeken naar RDS zenders
1. Zoek naar RDS zenders door herhaaldelijk op PROG te drukken totdat op de display het symbool

RDS tijdsynchronisatie
RDS zenders sturen gewoonlijk een RDS tijdsignaal mee. Als de ontvangst goed is, zal de tijdinformatie
de klok juist zetten en knippert het symbool > < op de display. Na een succesvolle tijdsynchronisatie
blijft dit symbool constant op de display.
Tijdsynchronisatie neemt enkele minuten in beslag en de preciesheid is afhankelijk van de tijd waarop
het signaal gestuurd wordt, zelfs bij goede ontvangst. De automatische instelling wordt steeds geac-
tiveerd wanneer het toestel van stand-by in radio wordt ingeschakeld en er een geschikt RDS zender
ontvangen kan worden.
Radiotekst
Radiotekst is RDS informatie.
1. Druk op de RDS/WEC toets. De radiotekst verschijnt op het display.
Als er geen radiotekst beschikbaar is, toont het display ‘NO TEXT’.
Weergave van het huidige programmatype
1. Druk tweemaal op de RDS/WEC toets om het huidige programmatype te zien.
Als er geen programmatype beschikbaar is, verschijnt er ‘NO PTY’.
Zoeken naar programmatypes (PTY)
De RDS functie laat toe naar radiozenders te zoeken met een bepaald programmatype. In totaal zijn er
31 programmatypes gedefinieerd.
1. Druk verschillende malen op de RDS/WEC toets totdat het gewenste programmatype getoond
wordt; bv. ‘NEWS’.
2. Om het zoeken te starten, druk op de TUNING toets.
Als er een zender gevonden wordt met een overeenkomend programmatype, wordt deze weerge
geven;
Als er geen zender gevonden wordt met een overeenkomend programmatype, verschijnt er ‘NO
MATCH’ en wordt de laatst beluisterde zender weergegeven.
Opmerking:
Het zoeken kan onderbroken worden door op TUNING te drukken.

ALARM
Het toestel beschikt over een alarmfunctie om u te wekken met een signaal of radio. U kan twee tijden
instellen en de duur van het alarm is 90 minuten.
Instellen van de alarmtijd
1. Hou de toets ALARM1 of ALARM2 ingedrukt totdat de urenindicatie op het display knippert.
2. Gebruik de TUNING toets om de uren in te stellen en druk op ALARM1 of ALARM2 om te
bevestigen.
- Display: de minutenindicatie knippert.
3. Gebruik de TUNING toets om de minuten in te stellen en druk op ALARM1 of ALARM2 om te
bevestigen.
- Display: de huidige tijd.
Bekijken van de alarmtijd
1. In stand-by, druk verschillende keren op DISPLAY om alarmtijd 1 of alarmtijd 2 te bekijken.
Het alarm activeren
Alarm met een signaal
1. Zet het toestel in stand-by.
2. Druk verschillende malen op ALARM1 of ALARM2 totdat de symbolen > < of > < op het
display verschijnen.
Opmerking:
Als het alarm afgaat, verhoogt het volume van het alarmsignaal van heel stil totdat het maximum volume
bereikt wordt.
Alarm met radio
1. Schakel het toestel in.
2. Selecteer een radiostation.
3. Regel het volume met de VOLUME knop.
4. Druk verschillende malen op ALARM1 of ALARM2 totdat de symbolen > < of > < op
het display verschijnen.
5. Druk op ON/OFF om het toestel in stand-by te zetten.
Het alarm onderbreken
1. Terwijl het alarm afgaat, druk op de SNOOZE toets.
- Het alarmsignaal stopt.
- Het alarmsignaal gaat om de 5 minuten terug aan (tot een maximum van 90 minuten).
Het alarm voor de dag annuleren
1. Druk op ON/OFF terwijl het alarm afgaat.
- Het alarm stopt, maar blijft in functie voor de volgende dag.
Het alarm deactiveren
1. Om het alarm te deactiveren, druk verschillende malen op ALARM1 of ALARM2 totdat het symbool
>
< of > < van de display verdwijnt.
Het alarm voor het weekend deactiveren en activeren
1. In stand-by, druk op RDS/WEC. De alarmfunctie wordt voor het weekend gedeactiveerd.
2. Om het alarm voor het weekend te activeren, druk opnieuw op RDS/WEC.
SLEEP TIMER
Het toestel kan ingesteld worden om na een bepaalde tijd automatisch uit te schakelen. De sleep timer
kan ingesteld worden tussen 10 en 90 minuten met intervallen van 10 minuten.
Instellen van de sleep timer
1. Schakel het toestel in.
2. Druk verschillende malen op SLEEP/NAP om de uitschakeltijd in stappen van 10 minuten in te
stellen.
- Het symbool > < verschijnt op de display.
3. U kan op SLEEP/NAP drukken om de resterende uitschakeltijd te bekijken.
Het toestel schakelt automatisch tijd als de vooringestelde tijd verlopen is.
Annuleren van de sleep timer
1. Om de slaap timer te annuleren en het toestel voor de ingestelde tijd uit te schakelen, druk op ON/
OFF.
of
Om de sleep timer te annuleren en toch verder naar de radio te blijven luisteren, druk verschillende
malen op SLEEP/NAP totdat de display ‘SLEEP 00’ toont en het symbool > < verdwijnt.
HERINNERINGSTIMER
Het toestel beschikt over een functie om u te herinneren aan een bepaalde tijd die kan ingesteld worden
tussen 10 en 120 minuten, in stappen van 10 minuten.
Instellen van de herinneringstijd
1. Zet het toestel in stand-by.
2. Druk verschillende malen op SLEEP/NAP om de tijd in stappen van 10 minuten in te stellen.
3. U kan de resterende tijd bekijken door kort SLEEP/NAP in te drukken.
Annuleren van de herinneringstijd
1. Annuleer de herinneringstijd door op ON/OFF te drukken.
Opmerking:
Het signaal kan onderbroken worden door op SNOOZE te drukken. Het signaal gaat terug aan met
intervallen van 5 minuten (totale duur is 90 minuten).

Courant secteur
Vérifiez que le voltage marqué sur le fond de l’appareil correspond avec votre voltage domestique. Si ce
n’est pas le cas, consultez votre revendeur.
1. Connectez la prise au courant secteur.

Pile de réserve
La pile de réserve assure que le temps et le temps d’alarme ne sont pas perdus en cas d’une panne de
courant secteur ou quand l’appareil est déconnecté pendant un certain moment.
1. Ouvrezlecompartimentàpilessurlefonddel’appareilenpoussantlecouvercledansladirection
 delaèche.
2. Insérez deux piles (2 x 1.5 V, Type LR03/UM-4/AAA) en tenant compte de la polarité comme indiqué
dans le compartiment.
3. Refermez le compartiment.
Attention :
N’exposezpaslespilesàlachaleurcommelesoleilouunfeu.
Enlevez les piles quand l’appareil n’est pas utilisé pendant un certain temps.
Remarque :
Les piles usées ne peuvent pas être jetées avec les autres déchets domestiques. Remettez les piles
utilisées chez un centre de recyclage.
REGLAGES
Première utilisation de l’appareil
Quandl’appareilestconnectépourlapremièrefoisaucourantsecteur,larecherchedesstations
démarre automatiquement. Les stations sont automatiquement mémorisées dans les présélections. A la
fin de la recherche un programme de démonstration commence. Pour arrêter la démonstration, poussez
ON/OFF pour mettre l’appareil en fonction. La station mémorisée dans la présélection 1 est reproduite.
Quand l’appareil reçoit une station qui émet des signaux RDS, le temps et le jour de la semaine sont
automatiquement réglés (synchronisation du temps RDS). Ceci peut prendre quelques minutes.
Quandl’appareilnepeutpaseffectuerlarechercheautomatiqueouleréglagedutempsàcaused’une
faible réception, déplacez l’appareil pour obtenir une meilleure réception, ou effectuez une recherche
manuelle.
Réglage du temps

2. Enfoncez le bouton MEM/TIME jusqu’au moment où les indications de l’heure clignotent.

fiche ‘CT ON’. Quand le signal RDS peut être capté, le temps et le jour sont automatiquement
 réglésaprèslamiseenfonctiondel’appareil.
Remise de l’appareil
Sil’appareilnefonctionnepasbienàcaused’unesurchargedecourantoudeschargementélectrosta-
tiques, il faut remettre l’appareil. Les réglages effectués restent mémorisés.
1. Quand l’appareil est en fonction, poussez (avec un paper clip) le bouton RESET sur le fond de
l’appareil.
Remarque :
Si vous voulez annuler les réglages effectués, retirez la prise courant secteur en retirez les piles de
réserve.Aprèsunpetitmoment,remettezlaprisecourantsecteur;touslesréglagessontannulés.

Mémoriser les stations dans les présélections
Un maximum de 20 stations peut être mémorisé.
1. Cherchez la station que vous voulez mémoriser.
2. Poussez MEM/TIME pour activer la fonction de mémoire.
3. Poussez PROG pour choisir le numéro de présélection.
4. Poussez MEM/TIME pour mémoriser la station.
5. Pour mémoriser d’autres stations, répétez les points 2-4.

RADIO DATA SYSTEM (RDS)
Information RDS
RDSestunsystèmed’informationstransmisparlaplupartdesémetteursFM.Quandl’appareilreçoitun
signalRDSlenomdelastationapparaîtbrièvementsurl’écranetlesymbole> < est contin-
uellement affiché. Il faut un certain temps avant que tous les informations RDS sont disponibles.
Recherche des stations RDS
1. Recherchez la station RDS en poussant le bouton PROG jusqu’au moment où le symbole
> < apparaît sur l’écran.
Synchronisation du temps RDS
En général les stations RDS émettent un signal du temps. Si la réception est bonne, l’information du
temps ajuste la montre et le symbole > <clignotesurl’écran.Aprèsunesynchronisationréussiele
symbole reste affiché sur l’écran.
La synchronisation peut prendre quelques minutes. Même si la réception est bonne, la précision du
temps dépend du signal émis. Le réglage automatique du temps est activé chaque fois que vous mettez
l’appareil en fonction radio et quand un émetteur RDS est reçu.
Texte radio
Le texte radio est une information RDS.
1. Poussez le bouton RDS/WEC. Le texte radio est affiché sur l’écran.
Quand il n’y a pas de texte disponible l’écran affiche ‘NO TEXT’.
Affichage du type de programma
1. Poussez deux fois le bouton RDS/WEC pour voir le type de programme acutel.
Quand le type de programme n’est pas disponible l’écran affiche ‘NO PTY’.
Recherche d’un type de programma (PTY)
La fonction RDS permet de rechercher un certain type de programme. 31 types de programmes ont été
définis.
1. Poussez plusieurs fois le bouton RDS/WEC jusqu’au moment où le type de programme est affiché.
Par exemple : ‘NEWS’.
2. Poussez le bouton TUNING pour démarrer la recherche.
Quand une station avec le type de programme voulu est trouvé, la station peut être écoutée.
Quand l’appareil ne trouve pas une station avec le type de programme correspondant, ‘NO MATCH’
est affiché sur l’écran.
Remarque :
La recherche peut être arrêtée en poussant TUNING .
ALARME
L’appareilestéquipéd’unsystèmed’alarmepourvousréveilleravecunsignalouaveclaradio.Vous
pouvez régler deux temps d’alarme avec une durée de 90 minutes.
Réglage du temps d’alarme
1. Enfoncez le bouton ALARM1 ou ALARM2 jusqu’au moment où l’indication des heures clignote.
2. Poussez TUNING pour régler l’heure et poussez ALARM1 ou ALARM2 pour confirmer.
Ecran : l’indication des minutes clignote.
3. Poussez TUNING pour régler les minutes et poussez ALARM1 ou ALARM2 pour confirmer et
arrêter le réglage du temps d’alarme.
Ecran : le temps actuel.
Regarder le temps d’alarme
1. En mode stand-by, poussez plusieurs fois le bouton DISPLAY pour regarder le temps d’alarme 1 ou
2.
Activer l’alarme
Alarme avec signal sonore
1. Mettez l’appareil en mode stand-by.
2. Poussez plusieurs fois le bouton ALARM1 ou ALARM2 jusqu’au moment où le symbole > <
ou> < est affiché sur l’écran.
Remarque :
L’alarme commence au niveau minimal et augment progressivement jusqu’au niveau maximal.
Alarme avec radio
1. Mettez l’appareil en fonction.
2. Sélectionnez la station radio.
3. Réglez le volume désiré avec le bouton VOLUME.
4. Poussez plusieurs fois le bouton ALARM1 ou ALARM2 jusqu’au moment où le symbole > <
ou > < est affiché sur l’écran.
5. Poussez le bouton ON/OFF pour mettre l’appareil en stand-by.
Interrompre l’alarme
1. Pendant le fonctionnement de l’alarme, poussez le bouton SNOOZE.
- Le signal d’alarme s’arrête.
 -L’alarmeserépètetousles5minutes(jusqu’unmaximumde90minutes).
Annulation de l’alarme pour la journée
1. Pendant l’alarme, poussez le bouton ON/OFF.
- L’alarme s’arrête mais reste en mémoire pour le prochain jour.
Désactivation de l’alarme
1. Pour désactiver l’alarme, poussez plusieurs fois le bouton ALARM1 ou ALARM2 jusqu’au moment
où le symbole > < ou > < est effacé de l’écran.
Désactiver/activer l’alarme pour le weekend
1. En mode stand-by, poussez le bouton RDS/WEC. L’alarme est désactivé pour le weekend.
2. Pour activer l’alarme pendant le weekend, repoussez le bouton RDS/WEC.
