IMPORTANT INFORMATION
•Ensure that your hair is clean and tangle free.
•If you normally use a heat protection or iron oil spray, this can be applied now before
combing or brushing through hair to remove snags and tangles.
•The appliance has been designed so that as well as being able to be used as a dry hair
straightener, it can also be used prior to blow drying on towel-dried hair. After
washing and conditioning as normal, dry hair with a towel ensuring no dripping water
remains in the hair.
•Only hold the appliance by the handle.Avoid touching the hot plates
•Do not scratch the surface of the plates as this will decrease the effectiveness of the
ceramic coating.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
•The Straightener automatically adjusts to international voltage 100-120v / 220- 240v.
•After plugging in the appliance, switch on. The power indicator will light up
reminding you that the straightener is on. It will take about 1 minute for the appliance
to heat up to the ideal temperature for carrying out styling.
•To make styling easier, section the hair with clips or hair-bands. Please note that these
are not included with the product.
•For best results, apply any styling products prior to straightening.
•Always start at the back of the neck, working up the sides and towards the crown.
Finish with the hair at the front.
•Always straighten the lower layers first.
3

•Take a small section of hair, pull it taut and close the straightener firmly around the
hair closest to the scalp i.e. at the roots.
•Run the straightener through the entire length of hair, slowly and steadily, from the
roots to the ends without stopping.
•Repeat until the desired amount of straightening or the desired style has been
achieved.
•If using on damp hair, you may hear a hissing sound as the excess water evaporates
through the vents and the moisture is sealed in.
•Some stylists recommend using a comb or brush on the front pieces of hair to ensure
that the hair in the straightener is straight and even.
•You may find that the roots need to be briefly blow dried if you have been unable to
get very close to the scalp. This is normal and can be addressed after styling.
SAFETY
•Please note that the straightener has a built-in safety device that switches the unit off
60 minutes after the appliance has been switched on. If this occurs, it can be reset
by sliding the power switch to OFF position and then switching it on again.
•The straightener has another built-in safety device that switches the unit off when the
handle is folded up. If this occurs, the appliance can be operated again by unfolding
the handles, sliding the power switch to the OFF position and switching it ON again.
STYLING TIPS
•This hair-styler is great for all hair types and hair lengths. Even hair that is normally
very straight but fairly thick and uncontrollable can be transformed into smooth, sleek
looking hair with little effort.
•If you wish to curl the ends under or even outward, this can also be achieved.
•Once you begin to get used to your straightener you will soon find the best
application for your individual style.
CLEANINGAND MAINTENANCE
•Ensure that the unit is unplugged and cool before cleaning. Clean the outside of the
handle with a damp cloth.
•Wipe the ceramic plates clean of any styling product build-up.
•Do not use any abrasive cleaning agents on the ceramic coated plates as this will
damage the surface and the effectiveness of the plates. The warranty does not
cover misuse.
•Avoid wrapping the cord around the unit as this will, with time, cause damage to the
power cord.
