The 1/1.8” CCD uses a tru-colour filter to produce fine detail images.

Commonwealth Games athletics or swimming, football and surfing.
 5 cm Macro plus Auto Macro
Automatically alters the focus from 5 cm to infinity making every image sharp
and clear, from flowers in the garden to the kids on the beach.
 Large 2.4” Hi-Resolution Monitor
The 2.4” TFT LCD Hi-Res monitor lets you see what you are taking and gives a
clear view of what you have taken.
 User friendly Mode Dial
The mode dial offers easy access to the auto, program, manual and scene
modes plus the family friendly night, portrait and child modes.
 MPEG-4 movies at 30 fps with sound
Take movies in MJPEG-4 at 30 fps and show them on TV. You’ll get more than
an hour of movies on a 256 MB SD card and edit them ‘in-camera’.
 20 MB internal memory plus SD card slot
Images can then be easily transferred from the internal memory to a Secure
Digital (SD) memory card and will accept memory cards up to 1 GB.
 PictBridge USB 2.0 direct printing
The S800 has PictBridge direct printing with compatible printers and fast
download of full resolution images to PC or portable hard drive via USB 2.0.
 Quick print button
Combined with Direct Print Order Format (DPOF) allows you to print two of three
or one each of ten prints or any other combination.
 AA alkaline or Ni-MH batteries
Uses universally available AA alkaline or cost saving Nickel Metal Hydride
batteries which can be recharged in minutes.
