SURFACE COOKING UNITS
QNever leave surface units unattended at high heat settings. Boiloverscause smokingand greasy
spilloversthat may ignite.
Do not lift the cooktop. Liftingthe cooktop can leadto damage and improperoperation of the range.
Do not operate the cooktop when there isno cookware. Ifthe cooktop operates without a cookware,
the control knob will become hot.
Neverusethe glasscooktop surface as a cutting board.
Use care when touching the cooktop. Theglass surfaceof the cooktop will retain heatafterthe controls
havebeenturned off.
Be careful when placing spoons or other stirring utensils on glass cooktop surface when it is in use.
They maybecome hot and could cause burns.
Use proper pan sizes. This appliance isequipped with surface unitsof differentsize. Select utensils
havingflat bottoms largeenoughto coverthe surface unitheating element.The useof undersizedutensils
will exposea portion ofthe heatingelement to directcontact and may result in ignitionof clothing. Proper
relationshipof utensilto burnerwill also improveefficiency.
Glazed cooking utensils. Only certaintypes of glass,glass/ceramic, ceramic,earthenware,or other glazed
utensilsare suitablefor range-top servicewithout breakingdue to the sudden change in temperature.
Utensil handles should be turned inward and not extend over adjacent surface units. To reduce
the riskof burns, ignition offlammable materials,and spillagedue to unintentionalcontact with the utensil,
the handleof autensil shouldbe positioned so that it is turned inward,and does not extend overadjacent
surface units.
Readand follow all instructionsand warningson the cleaningcream labels.
Besureyou know which control knob operates eachsurface unit. Makesureyou turned on the correct
surface unit.
Alwaysturn the surface units off beforeremovingcookware.
When preparingflamingfoods underthe hood, turn the fan on.
Keepan eyeon foods beingfried at highor mediumhigh heatsettings.

APPLIANCE OUTLETS
The 120V appliance outlets located on the control console may be used to run portable
appliances placed on countertops beside the range.
The outlets operate independently and are not affected by range control settings.
Do not place portable appliances on the cooktop.
Damage to the portable appliance could result if
the cooktop is hot.
Appliance outlet circuit breakers: The circuit
breakers for the appliance outlets on your range
are located on top of the control console.They are
rated for f 5 amps, that may trip if the appliance
plugged into it exceeds 15 amps. To reset the
circuit breaker, press the switch of located on the
control console.
Ifappliance outlet don't operate, test out your small
portable appliance by plugging into other outlets. Appliance
