2. When onne ting the power supply and signal wires, he k the external
onne tion terminals before onne ting them. Conne t the alarm signal
wires to the alarm terminals, the AC adapter to the AC power input
re epta le, and the DC adapter to the DC power input, making sure that
the orre t polarity is observed.

This is a basi instru tion manual for the SCC-643(P) user.
It ontains all the instru tions needed to use the SCC-643(P) from
a simple introdu tion of the ontrol lo ations and fun tions of the
SCC-643(P) to installation methods in the set up menu.
We re ommend all users of the SCC-643(P) from the advan ed
user who has used similar ameras before to the general user to
read the instru tion manual before using.
The most frequently used feature in the SCC-643(P) would be the
SCC-643(P) Setup Menu.
The SCC-643(P) Setup Menu is explained in detailed in "Chapter
3 Setup Menu Overview".
The instru tional manual is best used when read from beginning
to end, but for users wanting to read only the part they need here
are the Chapter summaries.
"Chapter 1 SCC-643(P) Overview" in ludes a brief introdu tion
of the SCC-643(P), part names and fun tions, and Swit h
Settings.
"Chapter 2 SCC-643(P) Installation" explains the installation
pro edures of the SCC-643(P) and provides preparation and

SCC-643(P) Introduction
The SCC-643(P) is the best performing zoom lens integrated
surveillan e amera. It an be used with CCTV in banks or
ompanies to provide high level of se urity.
The SCC-643(P) is a high quality surveillan e amera using x22
zoom lens and digital zoom IC, it an at h lear images up to
220 times.
The SCC-643(P) is a multifun tion amera that is equipped with all
of the key fun tions of the existing surveillan e ameras:
- Low-Light Surveillan e fun tion that enables image
apture even under extremely low light onditions.
- White Balan e fun tion that provides a urate olor
rendition under any light onditions.
- BLC fun tion that enables effe tive ba k light
ompensation even under a spotlight or a very bright
in ident light.
- Auto-Fo us fun tion that automati ally tra ks and fo uses
on the moving subje t.
- Priva y Zone fun tion that hides ertain area of the s reen
from view to prote t individual priva y.
- COLOR/BW fun tion that automati ally swit hes to the BW
(Bla k and White) mode to in rease the amera's
sensitivity at night or under low light level onditions.
The SCC-643(P) uses an Alarm fun tion for alert situations and
moving amera in the dire tion you want, ZOOM-IN and
ZOOM-OUT fun tions an be remote ontrolled.

is onne ted it should be terminated a ording to the Cable feature of
impedan e on the ea h end of the transmitting line to transfer the signals in

In this hapter, we will he k the ontents of the pa kage before
installing the SCC-643(P), and prepare a power adapter suitable for
the power supply system.
(Power Consumption: 18W; Voltage: 24VAC, 1.5A)
Then, we will install the SCC-643(P) and onne t the ables.
Chapter 2 SCC-643(P) Installation

The SCC-643(P)'s able is a BNC Cable for onne ting the video-output
terminal to the video-input terminal of the monitor.

This housing is used for installing the Combi Dome Camera to an indoor
wall or a eiling.
4) OUTDOOR HOUSING (SHG-220)
This housing is used for installing the Combi Dome Camera to an
outdoor wall or a eiling.
Installing SCC-643(P)
Installation Precautions
1) Make sure that the installation site an suffi iently support a minimum of
four times the net weight of the SCC-643(P) Combi Dome Camera and
other a essories.
2) Install in an area where the spa e above the eiling board is over 18 m
(7 in.) high.
3) Use the supplied s rews to fasten the amera to the bra ket assembly.
4) Keep persons away from the installation area, as there is a risk of falling
obje ts.
Also, move valuables to a safe lo ation before installation.
Separately Sold Products for Installation
Depending on the installation site, it may be onvenient to use one of the
following produ ts.
1) CEILING MOUNT BRACKET (SBR-100DCM)
This bra ket is used for installing
the SMARTDOME CAMERA in the
plenum above the drop eiling.
2) WALL MOUNT ADAPTOR (SADT-100WM)
This adaptor is used for installing the indoor
housing or the outdoor housing for the
Combi Dome Camera on a wall.

- DWELL TIME : Set the HOLDING time for swit hing between COLOR and BW
mode depending the hanges in the amount of light. You an set the HOLDING
time to 10se (S), 30se , 60se , or 300se ( L).

The CAMERA ID menu assigns an ID to the SCC-643(P) to be displayed
on the onne ted monitor.On the CAMERA SET menu s reen, sele t
CAMERA ID to ON and press [Enter]. You will see the sub s reen for
de iding on the ID of the SCC-643(P). The Camera ID an have up to 12
alphanumeri hara ters, along with several spe ial hara ters.
The assigned amera ID may be positioned to any desired lo ation on the
s reen by using the LOCATION submenu.

IRIS
The video output level of the monitor an be ontrolled by the IRIS lens
depending on the level of the in oming light.The video output level an be
set in the ALC menu.The opening and shutting of the Iris lens an be set
manually in the MANU menu.

The EXIT menu is used to quit the CAMERA SET
menu of the SCC-643(P) and return to the MAIN
MENU.
- QUIT: Ignores the hanged information and
restores the saved information.
- SAVE: Saves the information of the setting
ondition of the menu.
- PRESET: Ignores the hanged information and
restores the initial fa tory defaults of
the menu.
If you press [ENTER] on e more, you will exit the "AREA" setting menu.Use
the "SENSITIVITY" menu to set the sensitivity of the MOTION Dete tion.The

In the SHUTTER menu, the high-speed Ele tri shutter and AUTO low speed
shutter of the SCC-643(P) and the FIX low speed shutter an be set.
The High speed Ele tri Shutter supports 7 different speeds from 1/100 to
1/10K of a se ond. The AUTO low speed shutter and FIX low speed shutter
supports 12 different speeds from 2x to 128x magnifi ations.
The Low speed shutter is the fun tion that sets the shutter speed to low in
order to learly see the obje t filmed in low light. To automati ally slow down
the speed of the shutter by sensing the brightness of the light, set to AUTO
low speed shutter, and If the user wants to manually set the speed of low
speed shutter, set it to FIX. The number after the AUTO and FIX are the
number of the fields stored. The larger the number of the fields, the slower the
shutter speed gets, so in a still s reen the s reen is mu h learer.

larity of obje ts, making them appear dark. In the SCC-643(P), setting the
BLC (Ba k Light Compensation), submenu of ALC/MANU menu, will solve
the problem of ba klight and give you a lear s reen.
Set the BLC menu to ON and the Ba k Light Compensation fun tion will be
applied to the s reen areas of AREA menu.The s reen area where Ba k
Light Compensation should be applied an be set with the PRESET or
USER item.If the AREA menu is set to PRESET, the ba klight ompensation
fun tion is applied to the fa tory defaults of the SCC-643(P).
If the AREA menu is set to USER and [ENTER] is pressed, the user an
sele t the applied area of the ba klight ompensation fun tion.
Use the [left, right, up, down] keys to move to the area you want.

AGC
In the AGC menu, you an spe ify whether to automati ally ontrol the
GAIN when the obtained video is below a ertain level of brightness.
To automati ally ontrol the GAIN, set the AGC menu to LOW/HIGH.
Otherwise, set it to OFF.
If the you set the AGC to LOW, the maximum GAIN of the AGC will be set
to low, and if set to HIGH, the maximum GAIN will be set to high.
Under low light onditions, SHUTTER Mode hange from AGC to
MOTION (AUTO Mode). In the MOTION, use the [left, right] keys to sele t
"S.S/SLOW/NORMAL/FAST/F.F".

lowest value for AGC GAIN and the slowest speed for SHUTTER SPEED.
