Activate Your Device
Charge the Battery
Your device’s battery should have enough charge to
get started, but it’s a good idea to charge it fully
before you get going. Insert the USB connector into
the charger/accessory port. Plug the other end of
the USB cable into the AC adapter and plug the AC
adapter into an electrical outlet.
Before turning on your device:
If you purchased your device at a Sprint
Store, it is probably activated and ready
to use.
If you received your device in the mail, and
it is for a new Sprint account or a new line
of service, your device is designed to
activate automatically when you irst turn
it on. You will see a Hands Free Activation
screen at startup. When it’s inished, tap
OK to continue. To conirm your activation,
launch the Web browser.
If you received your device in the mail and
it is going to be activated on an existing
number (you’re swapping devices), go
to sprint.com/activate and follow the
instructions. When you have inished,
launch the Web browser to conirm
your activation.
If your device is still not activated, visit
sprint.com/support for assistance. If you do not
have access to the Internet, call Sprint Customer
Service at 1-888-211-4727.

Set Up Your Device
Complete the Setup Screens
Press and hold the Power/Lock Key to turn on the
tablet. From the Welcome screen, select a language
and tap . Follow the prompts to:
• Set up a Wi-Fi® connection.
• Accept Terms and Conditions.
• Personalize your tablet.
• Protect your tablet by setting a screen lock.
• Conigure Google™ services.
• Sign in to (or set up) a Samsung Account.
• Add your ingerprint for security.
When setup is inished, you’ll see your device’s
home screen.

Email Setup
1. From Home, tap > Settings > Accounts.
2. Tap Add account and then select an account type.
3. Follow the prompts to enter your
account information.
Important: Before setting up a Microsoft®
Exchange ActiveSync® account, contact your
company’s Exchange Server administrator for
required sign-in information.
Note: The Accounts screen (at left, above) will show
any accounts that have already been set up, including
Google Accounts that may have been conigured
during setup.

Google Play™
Google Play is the place to go to ind new apps,
games, movies, and more.
Use Google Play for Downloads
1. From Home, tap > Play Store .
2. The irst time you visit the Google Play store app,
tap Accept to accept the Terms of Service.
3. Browse through featured apps and games, or
tap the Google Play search bar to start a search.
4. Tap an item to read a description and reviews.
5. Tap INSTALL (for free apps) or the price (for paid
applications) and follow the onscreen prompts.
Note: You must have a Google Account set up on
your tablet to purchase and download apps from
Google Play.
