Hardware
This document provides installation instructions for Savant Neon Light
Strips. This guide is specic to neon strips, and should be used as a
supplementary document to the DMX and 0-10V Lighting Deployment
Guide on the Savant Customer Community.
Important Information
Read this document in its entirety before starting installation of
the product.
–Failure to properly follow installation guidelines may result in
fracture of neon ex coating, water penetration, sudden loss of
power, or other undesirable behavior.
–Product must be used only with the supplied power connector.
Input voltage must adhere strictly to product design specications
to ensure normal functionality and product safety.
–Installation and maintenance of this product must be performed by
an electrician or comparably experienced professional installer.
–Product must not be powered on before installation is complete.
–Once installation is complete, all connections should be checked
for accuracy, ensuring there are no short circuits before product is
powered on.
–During installation, any hard bends or creases in the product
should be positioned so as not to apply stress to LEDs or other
non-exible components which could aect the integrity of the
product or its waterproong, particularly when installing outdoors.
Minimum bend diameter 120 mm.
–Product should be installed out of reach of children.
–Product must be powered o during cleaning or other
maintenance.
–Cross section of Savant Neon Light Strip. Note 4 wires
(Red, Green, Blue, and Voltage).
–Cut strips ONLY along marked section
(in 1 meter increments)
Installation Precautions
The following precautions should be followed during installation and
use of Savant Neon Light Strips:
Strip should never be installed in
track twisted as shown:
Strip should never be installed
hanging vertically without
support:
Strip should never be installed
hanging horizontally over a gap
without support:
Strip should be bent or curved
only laterally as shown:
Diameter of all bends and
curves in strips should never be
smaller than 120 mm:

Installation
1. Cut neon strip to desired length, cutting only along marked dotted
lines, in 1 meter increments, as shown in P1 and P2.
2. Install power connector at transmission end of strip:
–Carefully apply glue to the outer jacket, taking care not
to get glue on any pins or core wiring, then insert the
male connector (B) into the light body in the direction
of the arrow (P3), ensuring the terminal pins are aligned
with the core wire of the strip.
–NOTE: Glue surface will solidify after approximately 1
hour, and glue will be fully set within approximately 8
hours.
–Ensure that the connector is tted securely and fully with
all terminal pins aligned and seated (P4).
–Install Clip (C) in the direction of the arrow as shown in
P5 and P6.
–Carefully attach xing box (E) as shown in P7 and P8,
ensuring that it aligns with vertical groove in connector
(B) and snaps securely into place over the clip (C).
3. Install tail plug at non-transmission end of strip:
–Carefully apply glue (D) to the end cap (G) and insert
into the non-transmission end of the strip, as shown in P9
and P10.
–NOTE: Glue surface will solidify after approximately 1
hour, and glue will be fully set within approximately 8
hours.
–Install clip (C) as shown in P11 and P12:
–Carefully attach xing box (E) as shown in P13 and P14,
ensuring that it aligns with vertical groove in tail plug (G)
and snaps securely into place over the clip (C).
4. Install track and ax strip to track:
–Install track (K) using screw (H), then feed strip (A) into
track as shown in P15 and P16
