THE SCALE DOCTOR
The Scale Doctor contains features not available from other devices on the
market today:
Micro-processor control allows the Scale Doctor to self-adjust to different
installations with one coil design.
ElectElectronic circuitry allows the Scale Doctor to regulate the signal output to
assure the maximum output is achieved for each
installation.
Advanced “Tri-Wave” technology was developed through extensive testing.
The Scale Doctor includes a dual frequency induction wave and a
magnetic oscillation that produces the strongest effect, traveling further
through water than any device on the market today.
AAll this technology and performance is available today in the Scale Doctor
which is not only eco-friendly, but was designed, developed and built right

Once operational, the Scale Doctor will require no further maintenance or attention. It will
begin treating and conditioning the water from the moment it is turned on.
The positive benefits of the Scale Doctor will be realized over time…
On day one, the old water is purged through your system it the process of loosening
existing scale is initiated. You will feel a real difference in the water.
After the first week of operation, scale will start to slowly dissolve from the hot water
tank and plumbing components, most microscopic particles of scale will flow thru the
plumbing system. In some cases particles may be seen in the faucet screens which can
be simply removed and cleaned.
Continuous Long Term Results: stains and calcium build-up on all appliances should
be greatly reduced and easier to clean. Plumbing fixtures and shower stalls should also
appear brighter and easier to clean.
The Scale Doctor will then continue to remove scale and staining within the water
system of your house. The full effects of the Scale Doctor will vary depending on the
hardness and the volume of the water being used. The Scale Doctor will continue to offer
years of trouble free performance and should be inspected occasionally to ensure the
coils haven’t loosened or become dislodged. Any electrical problem will be indicated in
the display window.
No Display In Window:
-Check to assure unit is powered.
-AC adapter firmly in socket.
-Power adapter firmly in unit.
OC Display In Window:
Open Circuit Open Circuit (OC) Coils or Coils are not properly connected. Confirm one end of coil is in
black connector and other is in red. Be sure wire has been properly stripped and inserted
into connector. On SD 200 check both coils and ensure coil wires have not been
cross-connected.
OL Display In Window:
UUnit has been Over Loaded (OL). Unplug power to unit and restore power. If unit contin-
ues to display OL, check wires are not touching one another at input connector. Check
that wire hasn’t frayed, allowing strands of wire to touch at input connector.

Scale Doctor requires no maintenance and uses less than $10-$15 (U.S.) per year in elec-
tricity to operate. There is no guesswork with the Scale Doctor: if the green LED lights are
illuminated, you know the unit is getting power and is working.
DO NOT OPEN the Scale Doctor enclosure. There are no user-serviceable parts inside.

Lifetime Warranty In the unlikely event the Scale Doctor stops performing (green LED
lights not working) the unit will be replaced. Simply contact Northgate Distribution at
866-636-8332 with the date of purchae and product serial number to receive an
authorization to return the unit.

1.If the security “Do Not Cut” seal on the module has been removed, cut or tampered
with.
2. If there is a defect due to damage, product alteration, or connection to an inproper
electrical supply, or act of God.
3. If the product has been abused or improperly installed, or otherwise not used in
accordance with the instructions manual.
ThisThis warranty does not extend to any other electrical or water appliance or device that
may be in use by the user of the Scale Doctor, and we accept no liability for the
malfunction of any device other than the Scale Doctor, which has, either directly or
indirectly been sold to the user. The Scale Doctor does not affect portability or the
natural mineral content of the water, as there is no apparatus in direct contact with the
water.
