IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR INSTALLATION
ScanAi SC800Pro can be used in public spaces—such as businesses, factories, and concerts—as an
effective tool to measure skin surface temperature and identify individuals with elevated skin temperature.
The accuracy of the thermal measurement refers to the relative accuracy of the sensor when
measuring temperature. When using the device for Elevated Skin Temperature (EST) detection, the
absolute temperature is not important. The devices algorithm considers relative temperature instead.
The algorithm calibrates the thermopile sensor with in-built reference temperature and does not
require an external calibration source.
The device is calibrated for the emissivity of human skin at 0.98.
When using a device for EST detection, the installation area should be clear of rapidly changing light
and wind conditions.
The measurement distance must be kept under one meter.
The core components of temperature measurement are thermopile sensors measure infrared energy
radiation of the human face (forehead). Please avoid putting the device in the direct sunlight or
continuously facing a bright light which could cause the damage of the sensor.
The working ambient temperature: 16~35 ℃, relative humidity: ≤85%, otherwise the measurement
will not be within defined accuracy.
In order to ensure accuracy, the device must be used indoor. Installation should keep away from the
gate, glass window, air-conditioning, etc.

Avoid the interference of sunlight, wind, heat.
When measuring complicated background (suggest install white back baffle).
For the best measuring accuracy and avoidance of the false alarm, the user and the device should be
in similar indoor condition for more than 3 minutes
Keep the device away from:
• extreme temperature
• hit & drop
• pollution & dirt
• direct sunlight & diffuse scattering
• rapidly changing cold or hot air
• humid environment
The device is not waterproof, please keep it away from liquid
Do not use any chemical or alcohol-containing liquid or wipes to clean the device. The device should
be only clean with moisture free and lint-free paper towel.
The device should be allowed to warm up for about 20 min before performing EST detection.
